영의 거듭남. 중보자. 과제

영이 거듭나는 순간이 혼을 엄청나게 고양이 되게 한다. 그러나 육체는 단지 이를 적게 느낀다. 왜냐하면 영의 거듭남은 혼이 자신 안의 영과 결합하는 일이고, 육체로부터 분리를 의미하고, 육체는 이런 연합하는 일에 적게 관여하기 때문이다. 그러므로 육체가 아직 고요해지지 않은 동안에는, 다시 말해 혼이 영과 하나가 되기를 원할 때, 육체가 혼에게 어떤 저항을 하는 동안에는, 혼이 영과 하나가 되기가 자주 아주 어렵게 된다.

그러나 긴밀한 기도가 혼에게 혼의 뜻을 수행할 힘을 준다. 그러므로 육체의 욕망이 너무 강해, 혼이 약해질 위험이 있을 때, 기도를 대항하는 수단으로 사용해야 한다. 사람 안의 영도 마찬가지로 혼을 얻기 위해 씨름하고, 혼에게 연합의 기쁨을 주기를 원한다. 혼이 영의 재촉을 따르지 않으면, 육체가 우세해지고, 육체의 욕망을 성취하게 된다.

사람 안의 영은, 육체가 혼에게 강요할 수 없는 것처럼, 마찬가지로 혼에게 강요할 수 없다. 혼이 어떤 선택을 하든, 혼의 자유이다. 그러나 영을 위하는 결정은 혼이 영적인 보상을 얻게 하고, 육체를 위해 결정하면, 혼은 이 땅의 보상이 혼에게 주어진다.

영적인 보상은 그의 생각의 완전한 변화이고, 영원한 진리 및 지식이다. 다시 말해 빛이다. 이 땅의 권세자는 세상의 재물이고, 세상 재물은 지속되는 것이 아니고, 인간의 육체의 죽음으로 소멸되는 것이다. 영이 거듭난 사람은 더 이상 이 땅의 죽음을 두려워할 필요가 없다. 왜냐하면 그의 생명은 영원하고, 그는 아무런 겉형체가 없이 영원한 생명에 들어가기 위해 단지 이 땅의 겉형체를 벗기 때문이다. 다시 말해 그는 더 이상 죽음이 없는 새로운 생명으로 거듭나기 때문이다.

그러나 영의 거듭남은 이 땅의 기쁨과 세상적인 즐거움과 아무런 연관이 없다. 왜냐하면 영과 육체를 동시에 고려할 수 없기 때문이다. 혼은 단지 둘 중 하나만을 선택할 수 있다. 그러므로 단지 세상적인 생각 만을 하는 사람은 절대로 영의 거듭남을 이룰 수 없다. 그는 세상의 모든 것을 피하고, 심장에서 완전히 사라지게 해야만 한다. 그러면 비로소 혼이 영과 연결을 이룰 수 있고, 혼과 영이 완전하게 하나가 되면 영의 거듭남이 일어나고, 이런 일은 상상할 수 없게 행복한 일이다. 왜냐하면 영의 거듭남이 사람이 하나님의 지혜를 받아드릴 수 있게 하기 때문이고, 그를 빛의 전달자로 만들기 때문이다. 결과적으로 하나님과 사람 사이의 연결 고리가 되게 하기 때문이다.

이웃 사람에게 하나님의 뜻을 선포할 수 있는 중계자가 될 수 있다는 일은 가장 큰 의미를 가진 은혜이고 과제와 연결되어 있다. 이런 과제의 성취는 다시 혼이 최고로 성숙하게 되는 일을 보장한다. 하지만 소수의 사람만이 자신을 이런 은혜에 합당하게 만든다. 단지 소수의 사람들이 하나님을 섬기기 위해, 자신을 하나님께 드리고, 이웃 사람의 행복을 위한 이 땅의 과제를 하나님께 구한다.

하나님은 이런 소수의 사람들에게 자신의 사랑과 은혜를 넘치게 부어준다. 그들은 언제든지 이런 은혜와 사랑을 요청할 수 있다. 하나님은 항상 그들의 요청을 듣고, 힘을 줄 것이다. 이로써 그들이 자신의 과제를 완수할 수 있게 하고, 영의 능력이 그들 안에서 역사하여 인류에게 축복이 되게 한다.

Spiritual rebirth.... mediator.... task

The moment of spiritual rebirth is immensely uplifting for the soul and yet only slightly perceptible to the body, since spiritual rebirth is a union of the soul with the spirit within itself and signifies a separation from the body. The body has little part in this act of union and therefore this is often very difficult as long as the body has not yet become still, i.e. as long as it still puts up a certain resistance to the soul if it wants to enter into this union with the spirit. And yet heartfelt prayer gives the soul the strength to carry out its will. And prayer should therefore be used as an antidote when the body's desire is too strong and the soul threatens to become weak. The spirit in the human being also struggles for the soul and would like to bring it the delights of union, and if the soul then does not comply with its urging, the body gains the upper hand and its desire is fulfilled.... The spirit in man cannot force the soul, just as the body cannot exert any compulsion on it. It is up to the soul what it chooses. The decision in favour of the spirit, however, earns the soul a spiritual reward, whereas only earthly rewards await the soul if it decides in favour of the body. The spiritual reward is a total transformation of its thinking, eternal truth and knowledge, i.e. light.... The earthly reward is the goods of this world, which are impermanent and transient with the physical death of man. The person who is born again in the spirit no longer needs to fear earthly death, for his life lasts forever and he only lays down the earthly body in order to enter eternal life without any outer shell. He is therefore reborn into a new life in which there is no more death. However, the rebirth of the spirit excludes earthly pleasures and worldly enjoyment, because spirit and body cannot be considered at the same time. The soul can only decide in favour of one or the other. He who is therefore only worldly-minded will never be able to speak of the rebirth of the spirit. He must avoid everything worldly and completely separate himself from it in his heart, only then can the soul enter into union with the spirit, and the complete fusion of both results in rebirth, which is unimaginably blissful because it makes the human being worthy of receiving the wisdom from God, because it makes him a bearer of light and consequently a link between God and people. To be able to be a mediator who is allowed to announce the divine will to fellow human beings is a grace of utmost importance and associated with a task whose fulfilment again guarantees highest maturity of soul, and again only few people make themselves worthy of this grace, and only few people offer themselves to God for service and ask Him for an earthly task for the benefit of fellow human beings. But God provides these few with His love and grace in abundance, and they may request this grace and love at any time.... God will always listen to their requests and provide them with strength so that they are able to fulfil their task, so that the power of the spirit may work in them for the blessing of humanity....
