죽음의 공포 - 세상을 향한 사랑.

죽음을 향한 두려움이 사람을 사로 잡는다면, 그런 사람 안의 영이 아직 활동하지 않은 것이다. 다시 말해 혼이 아직 영을 위한 결정을 내리지 않았고, 아직 세상의 쾌락을 따르고, 혼은 아직 이 땅의 과제를 완수하지 못했고, 혼이 자신에게 임한 끝을 생각할 때, 이런 생각이 혼을 우울하게 한다. 왜냐면 혼이 무의식적으로 자신에게 정해진 한계를 느끼기 때문이다. 하나님과의 직접적인 연결을 통해 혼에게 지식을 전해줄 수 있다. 그러나 그들 자신의 영이 아직 깨어나지 못했기 때문에 항상 이웃 사람을 통해서만 전달이 될 수 있다.

사람은 이제 하느님의 요구 사항에 따라 살기 위해 노력하면서, 그에게 주어진 지식을 활용할 수 있다. 그러면 그는 곧 인간 안에 하나님의 영의 표현인, 자신 안에서 음성을 듣는 일에 성공하고, 그 순간부터 그의 혼의 상태는 높아지게 된다. 이런 상태는 이 땅의 기쁨과 즐거움에 대한 완전한 무관심을 통해 나타난다. 그러면 사람들은 세상에 속한 것을 기꺼이 버린다. 그러면 더 이상 죽음에 대한 두려움이 사라진다. 왜냐면 그가 더 이상 갈망할만 하게 여기지 않는 것은 그의 매력을 잃고, 이제 더 이상 사람을 이 세상에 묶지 못하기 때문이다.

세상을 경멸하는 사람은 절대로 죽음의 시간을 두려워할 필요가 없다. 그는 영원을 향하는 문을 통해, 조용히 고통이 없이, 영원으로 들어가게 된다. 그는 영광스러운 진정한 고향을 갈망하고, 이를 위해 당연하게 모든 것을 희생한다. 그러므로 죽음의 시간에 대한 두려움이 아직 인간을 억압하다면, 그는 아직 이 땅의 욕망으로부터 완전히 자유롭지 못한 것이다. 그는 이를 먼저 극복해야만 한다. 사람은 하나님께 더 긴밀하게 다가가고, 그의 삶을 이웃사랑을 행하는 가운데 보내야만 한다. 그는 자주 긴밀하게 하나님이 평화로운 죽음의 시간이 되도록 자신을 도와주도록 기도해야만 한다. 그는 자신을 하나님께 전적으로 내어드리고, 자신의 필요와 걱정을 믿는 가운데 하나님께 아뢰고, 미래를 하나님께 맡겨야만 한다. 이 땅을 향한 갈망은 사라지게 될 것이고, 반면에 영적인 것을 향한 갈망은 증가하게 될 것이고, 죽음에 대한 두려움이 사라지게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그러면 사람이 영원한 나라에 들어가기 위해 합당하게 되도록 자신을 형성하기 때문이다._>아멘

Fear of death - love of the world....

As soon as a fear of death takes hold of the human being, the spirit has not yet become active in him, and thus the soul has not yet decided in his favour but still takes too much account of worldly pleasures. Thus the soul has not yet fulfilled its earthly task and this depresses it when it thinks of its near end. For unconsciously it feels that it will then have a limit. Through the direct connection with God knowledge can be imparted to the soul, but always only through the fellow human being, since its own spirit is not yet awakened. The human being can now make use of this imparted knowledge by endeavouring to live in accordance with divine requirements. Then he will soon be able to hear the voice within himself, the expression of the divine spirit in the human being, and from that moment on his state of soul will also lift, which will be noticeable through complete indifference towards earthly pleasures and enjoyments. Then man gladly gives away what belongs to the world.... then all fear of death is also invalid. For what he no longer considers desirable has lost its appeal and no longer binds man to this world. He who despises the world never has to fear the hour of death, he enters quietly and painlessly through the gate to eternity, he longs for his true home with its glory and understandably gives up everything for it. If therefore the fear of the hour of death still oppresses man, then he is not yet completely free of earthly desire, and this must first be overcome, man must turn more intimately to God, spend his life in active neighbourly love; he must pray often and intimately that God helps him to a peaceful hour of death, he must devote himself completely to God, entrust his needs and worries to Him in faith and then leave the future to Him. And the inclination towards the earthly will dwindle, the desire for the spiritual, on the other hand, will grow, and the anxiety before the hour of death will give way, for the human being will then mould himself as he should be in order to be able to enter into eternal life....
