자유의지. 의무의 단계. 헌신.

인간만이 자신의 자유의지를 사용할 수 있다. 다시 말해 인간은 온전하지 못한 상태에 있지만, 그러나 자유의지를 가진 유일한 피조물이다. 이런 일은 사람이 자신의 육체를 벗고, 빛의 영역으로 들어갈 때, 비로소 제대로 판단할 수 있는 특권이다. 그러면 그는 비로소 그에게 그의 재량에 따라 그의 의지를 사용할 기회를 준, 하나님의 무한한 사랑을 깨닫게 된다.

자유의지를 가지고 사는 이 땅의 기간은, 그가 자신의 자유의지를 잘못 사용한다면, 그에게 큰 위험이 될 수 있다. 그러나 자유의지가 올바르게 사용이 된다면, 이 땅의 기간이 그가 최고의 영적 성숙에 도달하게 할 수 있다. 그러므로 모든 선행이, 강요에 의한 것이 아니라 완전한 자유의지로 이뤄진다면, 모든 선한 행동은 특별하게 높은 평가를 받게 될 것이다. 그러나 사람이 일단 자신을 하나님께 드리면, 사람의 뜻은 언제나 항상 하나님의 뜻과 동일하게 된다. 그러면 그의 이 땅의 삶은 더 이상 많은 책임을 질 일이 없게 된다. 왜냐면 그가 하나님께 자신의 뜻을 드리면, 하나님 자신이 그를 돌보기 때문이다.

자신의 의지를 포기하는 일은 실제로 인생의 전환점이다. 자유의지의 단계에서는, 인간으로 육신을 입기 전에 의무단계에서 했던 것처럼, 하나님의 의지를 아래 자신의 의지의 완전한 종속시키기 위해 추구해야 한다. 그러므로 인간은 다른 모든 창조물에 대한 실제 인간의 특권을 버려야 한다. 끝없이 긴 포로의 시간 동안에 존재가 묶인 의지를 가진 가운데 고통 가운데, 갈망했던 것을 이제 자발적으로 포기해야 한다. 그러면 존재가 비로소 진정으로 자유롭게 되고, 빛 안으로 들어갈 수 있게 된다. 왜냐면 의지를 드리는 일이 비로소 영적인 자유를 의미하기 때문이다. 왜냐면 의지를 드리는 일이 온전하게 되게 해주기 때문이다.

존재는 하나님 앞에서 가장 깊이 겸손해야만 한다. 그러면 그는 가장 높은 곳에 도달할 것이다. 왜냐하면 존재가 하나님의 뜻을 영접하고, 이제 하나님과 연합이 되게 해주는 모든 일을 수행하기 때문이다. 자유의지가 하나님을 떠나게 한 원인이었고, 자유의지가 이제 다시 하나님께 돌아오게 해야만 한다. 존재가 자유의지로 하나님을 떠났기 때문에, 존재는 이제 마찬가지로 자유의지로도 다시 연합하려고 노력해야 한다. 이 일은 필수적인 일이다. 왜냐면 모든 강요를 받는 상태는 어떤 온전하지 못한 상태이고, 그러므로 존재를 절대로 올바르게 만들어 줄 수 없고, 존재가 스스로 자신을 형성해야만 하기 때문이다.

그러나 마찬가지로 그에게 자신의 자유의지를 잘못된 방식으로 사용할 수 있는 가능성이 부여되어만 한다. 왜냐면 이런 일이 바로 자유한 상태의 특성이기 때문이다. 그러나 인간은 항상 영적인 힘을 요구함으로써, 연약한 의지를 해결할 기회가 있다. 그가 실패할 위험에 처할 때, 수많은 존재들이 그의 곁에 있고, 그들은 생각을 통해 그에게 영적 쇠퇴의 큰 위험을 알려주고, 자유의지를 올바르게 사용하도록 그를 인도한다.

그러므로 잔신의 뜻을 하나님께 복종할 수 없는 존재는 없다. 그가 자신이 동인이 되어, 자신의 의지를 포기하고, 이로써 이제 이 땅의 삶에 대한 모든 책임에서 해방이 된다면, 그는 자신의 자유의지로 그에게 주어진 이 땅의 과제를 성취시킬 수 있다._>아멘

Free will.... mandatory state.... devotion of which....

Only the human being is capable of utilizing his free will, i.e. he is the only creature that is in a state of imperfection and yet has free will. This is a privilege which he can only fully appreciate once his carnal shell has been removed and he has entered spheres of light. Only then will he recognize God's infinite love, which gave him the opportunity to use his will as he saw fit. The time of earthly change in free will is indeed a great danger for him if he misuses it, but it can also bring him the highest maturity of soul if free will is utilized correctly. And that is why every good deed is valued particularly highly if it is not caused by some kind of compulsion but is carried out in complete free will. However, once the human being has given himself to God as his own, his will is also always and constantly equal to the divine will, and then his life on earth is no longer responsible, since God Himself accepts the human being once he has sacrificed his will to Him. Giving up his own will is actually the turning point in his life. What was a compulsory state before the embodiment as a human being is to be striven for in the stage of free will.... the complete subordination of the will to the divine will. Thus the human being is to divest himself of what is actually the prerogative of the human being over all other works of creation. What the being has desired in the endless time of captivity, when it languished in bound will, it is now to give up voluntarily, only then it can become truly free and enter the light, because the giving up of the will first means spiritual freedom, because it entails becoming perfect. The being must stand in deepest humility towards God, then it will reach the highest height, for it then accepts the divine will and now carries out everything that brings about the union with God. Free will was the cause of the apostasy from God and must now also cause the return to Him again.... Since the being carried out the separation from Him of its own free will, it must now likewise seek union again of its own free will. This is indispensable because every state of compulsion is something imperfect, the being can therefore never again be judged but must first form itself. Equally, however, he must also retain the possibility of being able to use his free will in the wrong way, since this characterizes the state of freedom. But man always has the opportunity to remedy the weakness of the will by requesting spiritual power. Countless beings stand by him when he threatens to fail. They mentally present to him the great danger of spiritual regression and thus urge him to use free will correctly. No being is therefore incapable of subordinating its will to God.... it can fulfil the task it is given on earth by virtue of its free will if it surrenders this will of its own accord and is now relieved of all responsibility for earthly life....
