영과 이성. 신체의 기능. 하나님으로부터 온 영.

내면의 깨달음의 은사가 없다면, 너희는 무지한 가운데 이 땅의 삶을 살게 된다. 너희가 영원한 창조주로부터 이성과 이해력을 받았기 때문에 알고 있다고 믿지만, 영의 깨달음을 구하지 않는 한, 너희는 이성과 이해력을 세상적인 의미로만 사용할 수 있다. 따라서 이성과 이해력이 같은 이성과 이해력이 아니다. 사람은 자신의 영을 깨우지 않고도 이성을 사용할 수 있다. 그는 자신의 이성적인 생각을 통해 이 땅에서 가장 큰 성공을 할 수 있다. 그러나 영의 가장 깊은 어두움 속에서 걸을 수 있다. 같은 방식으로, 생명으로 깨어난 영은 인간 안에서 매우 활동적이 될 수 있고, 이로써 이를 외적으로도 알아볼 수 있고, 이성적인 사고는 전혀 사용할 필요가 없다.

이제 인간은 아주 지혜롭게 자신을 표현할 수 있다. 다시 말해, 특별한 이성적인 일을 하지 않고 이웃 사람들에게 큰 지식을 전해줄 수 있다. 그러므로 잘 발달된 이성이 하나님의 지혜를 받아들이기 위해 전혀 필요하지 않다. 심지어 인간의 이성은 자주 영적인 지식을 받는 일에 방해가 된다. 왜냐하면 영적인 지식이 인간의 심장 안으로 들어가기를 원하지만, 그러나 이성적인 생각의 방해를 받기 때문이다. 왜냐하면 사람이 깨어난 하나님으로부터 온 영을 지혜를 주는 분으로 깨닫지 못하는 동안에는 세상 지혜가 항상 하나님의 지혜에 대항하려고 하기 때문이다.

하나님으로부터 온 영이 사람에게 가르치는 내용은 이성이 필요하지 않지만, 하나님으로부터 온 영이 가르친 것을 활용하기 위해서는 인간의 이성이 활발히 일해야만 한다. 그러면 사람은 하나님의 은사를 사용해야만 한다. 다시 말해 그에게 주어진 모든 능력들을 혼의 높은 성장을 위해 사용해야만 한다. 그러면 능력을 하나님의 뜻에 합당하게 활용한 것이다. 인간의 이 땅의 존재와 그의 목적과 실제 사명에 대해 생각하도록 사람에게 이성이 주어졌다. 그러나 사람은 그런 목적을 위해 이성을 가장 적게 사용한다. 모든 이성의 생각은 대부분 이 땅의 문제로 향한다. 모든 생각이 이 땅의 삶을 향상시키는 일로 향한다. 그러므로 하나님으로부터 온 영이 역사하지 않고, 유일하게 이성이 일을 한다. (1940년 7월 4일) 하나님의 영의 역사는 영적인 영역을 연구하려는 인간의 노력의 결과이다.

이 땅의 문제에만 관심이 있는 사람은 하나님으로부터 온 영을 깨닫지 못한다. 그는 자신의 이성을 활용한다. 다시 말해 신체의 기능을 단지 육체에게 유익하게 보이는 일을 위해 활용한다. 신체의 기능은 이제 사람의 의지에 따라 일한다. 반면에 영적 문제를 해결하려고 하고, 인간의 의지가 단지 의지 자신을 하나님의 영에 굴복시키는 정도로 역사한다면, 하나님으로부터 온 영이 역사한다. 그러면 이제 하나님의 영이 생각을 정리해주고, 생각을 올바른 깨달음으로 인도한다.

그러므로 사람은 무의식적으로 받지 않는 힘을 자원하여 사용한다. 그는 적극적인 사랑을 행함을 통해 자신 안에서 이 힘을 증가시켜야만 한다. 그러므로 그는 자신의 이성적인 생각의 결과가 전적인 진리라는 보장 아래 이성적인 생각을 증가시킬 수 있다. 반면에 유일하게 이성의 활동만으로는 절대적 진리라는 보장을 받지 못한다. 그러므로 그가 이성이 말하게 할 뿐만 아니라 심장도 함께 말하게 한다면, 항상 진리에 합당하게 받는다는 보장을 받고 자신의 지식을 크게 증가시키는 일은 그 자신에게 달려 있다. 왜냐하면 자신 안에 있는 하나님의 영의 불씨는 단지 느낌을 통해 깨어나게 할 수 있기 때문이다. 하나님의 영의 불씨를 깨우기 위해 길러야 할 느낌은 사랑이다.

사랑을 행하지 않으면 하나님의 영을 깨어나게 할 수 없다. 그러므로 순수한 진리와 지식의 증가는 항상 아주 적극적인 사랑을 행한 결과가 될 것이다. 연구하는 사람이 자신을 이미 사랑으로 만들고, 이 땅의 사고 활동도 또한 하나님의 영의 인도를 받는 가운데, 진리라는 보장을 받는 연구가 영적 문제를 해결하는 목표를 향한다면, 영과 이성이 함께 일할 수 있게 될 것이다.

spirit - mind.... function of the body.... spirit from God....

Without the gift of inner enlightenment you go through earthly life ignorant. Although you believe yourselves to be knowledgeable because you have been endowed with intellect and reason by the eternal creator, you can only use them in an earthly sense as long as you do not ask God to enlighten your spirit. spirit and intellect are therefore not the same thing; a person can use his intellect without having awakened his spirit within himself. He can achieve the greatest earthly successes through his intellectual thinking and yet walk along in the deepest darkness of the spirit. And in the same way a spirit awakened to life can be extraordinarily active in a person so that it is also recognizable to the outside world, and intellectual thinking need not be used at all.... The human being can now express himself extremely wisely, i.e. bring great knowledge to the attention of his fellow human beings, for which no special intellectual work was necessary. So a well-developed intellect is not absolutely necessary in order to be receptive to divine wisdom. In fact, the human intellect is often an obstacle to the reception of spiritual knowledge, for this wants to penetrate the human heart unhindered but encounters resistance when only intellectual thinking is involved, because earthly wisdom always strives towards divine wisdom as long as the human being does not regocnize the awakened spirit of God as the giver of wisdom. What the spirit from God teaches man does not require the intellect, but the human intellect must also be active in order to utilize what has been taught by the spirit of God. Then man must use the gift of God and thus all abilities given to him are only useful for the higher education of the soul, then these are used according to the will of God. The human being has been given intellect in order to reflect on his earthly existence and its purpose and actual destiny. However, it is least used for this purpose. All intellectual thinking mostly revolves around earthly problems; all mental activity is aimed at improving earthly life, and thus the intellect alone is active, but the spirit from God is not yet at work....

(4.7.1940) Its working is only the result of human efforts to explore spiritual fields, and again these efforts must be based on a deep desire for truth and the knowledge of the eternal divine, but these researches must not be undertaken for the sake of earthly advantage. The spirit from God is by no means perceptible to the human being who is only interested in earthly problems. He claims his intellectual thinking, i.e. the function of his body, for a work which again only appears to be beneficial to the body. And this function is now carried out entirely according to the will of the human being, while.... thus the spirit from God is at work when it is a matter of solving spiritual problems.... the human will is only involved insofar as it leaves itself to the divine spirit; but now the spirit from God orders the thoughts, thus guides the mental activity towards the right realization. The human being is therefore willing to make use of a power that is not unconsciously available to him. And he must bring this power to unfold within himself through active loving activity.... He can therefore increase his intellectual thinking with the guarantee of the full truthfulness of what is the result of his thinking, whereas the activity of the intellect alone is no guarantee of absolute truth. The human being therefore has it in his own hands to considerably increase his knowledge, always with the guarantee that it will be conveyed truthfully if he not only lets his intellect speak but also his heart, for the divine spiritual spark in him can only be awakened emotionally, and this feeling, which has to be cultivated in order to awaken the spirit of God, is love.... Without being active in love, the awakening of the spirit of God is impossible, so pure truth and increased knowledge will always be the result of an extremely active activity of love. spirit and intellect will therefore only be able to work together when the researching human being has already shaped his nature into love and his research is now aimed at solving spiritual problems, although even then earthly thought activity will likewise be guided by God's spirit and thus also guarantee truth....
