하나님의 양육의 역사. 영적인 게으름. 고통의 목적.

아직 이 땅에 사는 너희가 말할 수 없는 슬픔에 빠질 때가 다가오고 있다. 너희는 너희에게 주어진 모든 어려움에 대항하여 자신을 관철해야만 할 것이다. 하늘과 땅의 창조주가 허락하는 일은 단지 언젠가 자신의 피조물들의, 저세상에 훨씬 더 크게 영향을 미치게 될 혼의 고통을 피하게 해주려는 수단이다. 사람이 세상의 고통을 헌신적으로 받아들이고, 이 고통을 통해 혼이 정화되고 성장하게 될 때, 이 고통을 피할 수 있다.

믿음이 부족한 결과인 근시안적인 사람은 하늘 아버지의 양육하는 목적을 이해할 수 없다. 그는 투덜거리고, 불평하고, 영원한 신을 완전히 부정하려는 경향을 보이는 일이 적지 않게 일어난다. 왜냐하면 아버지의 역사가 그에게 이해할 수 없게 보이기 때문이다. 그는 이런 길을 선택해야만 하는 창조주의 사랑과 인내를 깨닫지 못한다. 왜냐하면 주님의 사랑이 충만한 훈계와 위로부터 오는 말이 듣지 않고, 때가 점점 더 심각해지고, 사람들은 항상 더욱 영적인 일에 게을러지고, 이 땅의 의무를 수행하는 일이 혼에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 주의를 기울이지 않고, 항상 단지 이 땅의 의무를 수행하는 일에 주의를 기울이기 때문이다.

이제 영의 세계도 또한 극도로 활동적으로 되어야만 한다. 이 땅의 사람들 안에, 그들 주위에 영들의 역사를 향한 증거를 사람들에게 제공해야 한다. 왜냐하면 사람이 이제는 자신의 창조주와 연결을 이룰 수 없기 때문이다. 그의 삶의 원칙을 향한 엄청난 흔들림이 먼저 사람들이 "나"라는 자신에 대해, 자신의 출처에 대해, 자신의 마지막에 대해 ​​다시 생각하게 해야만 한다. 완전히 평안한 시간에는 영적인 게으름에 빠질 위험이 더 크다. 그러나 사람에게 어떤 종류의 부담이 가해지는 곳에서 그는 결국 모든 삶의 의미가 무엇인지를 묻고, 세상의 걱정과 고통에서 벗어나기 위해 어떤 길을 갈 수 있는지를 묻는다. 그러면 그는 사랑스럽게 내밀은 아버지의 손을 실제 주저하며 붙잡을 것이다. 아버지는 먼저 그의 혼의 영적 고통에서 그를 자유롭게 해주기를 원한다. 바로 이 목적이 고통의 계절이 다가오게 하는 유일한 이유이다.

God's work of education.... spiritual inertia.... purpose of sufferings....

You, who still live on earth, are approaching a time which will be unspeakably painful for you and you will have to assert yourselves in the face of all the hardship you are destined to experience. What the creator of heaven and earth allows is only ever a means by which He wants to spare His living creations the spiritual suffering one day, which will have far more painful effects in the beyond and which the human being can avert if he humbly accepts the suffering on earth and emerges from it purified and matured in soul. Man in his short-sightedness, which is the result of faithlessness, cannot comprehend the work of education of the heavenly father. He grumbles and complains and is not infrequently inclined to deny an eternal deity altogether because the work of Him seems incomprehensible to him. And he does not recognize the love and patience of his creator Who has to choose this path because His loving admonitions and words from above are not listened to, and time has become ever more serious, the human being ever more sluggish in his spiritual work and only ever concerned with fulfilling earthly duties, regardless of how this fulfilment of duty affects the soul. Now the spiritual world must also be extremely active and must in turn give people on earth evidence of its activity in and around it. For man no longer finds the connection to his creator. A tremendous shaking of his principles of life must first force man to think again about his 'self ', his origin and his end. In a completely calm time there is only a greater danger of living in spiritual inertia, but where the human being is forced to carry burdens of whatever kind he ultimately asks himself what meaning underlies his whole life and which path he could take in order to be relieved of earthly worries and suffering. And then he will certainly timidly grasp the father’s hand which is lovingly offered to him and which first wants to snatch him from the spiritual hardship of the soul. This purpose is the only reason for all the coming time of suffering....
