모 교회를 떠나는 일...

인생에서 가장 큰 어리석은 일은 자신이 속한 교회를 떠나는 일이다. 이 시대가 영적인 사역자들에게 쉬운 시대가 아니다. 그들은 교회에 양들이 남도록 그들의 최선을 다한다. 그러나 한 사람 한 사람 연이어 나가고 있고 다시 돌아오지 않는다. 그러면 모든 사역자들의 직분이고 해야 할 이런 혼들에게 사역하는 일은 비교할 수 없게 어렵다.

이제 주님이 자신이 선택한 종들에게 가르치는 은사를 준다. 이는 사역자들을 그들의 직분에서 몰아내려는 것이 아니라 교회 밖에 있는 자들에게도 하나님의 말씀의 축복에 이를 수 있도록 돕기 위한 것이다. 그러나 누가 말씀을 듣고 영접하는가!

자유의지로 교회를 떠난 사람들이 하나님의 계명에 순복하게 만드는 일은 말할 수 없이 어렵다. 이런 사람들이 올바른 길을 갈 수 있는 가능성이 없는 것은 아니다. 만약에 그의 심장이 자신에게 주님을 기쁘게 하는 것을 가르치고 그가 이 음성을 따르면, 그는 자신을 더 높은 곳으로 성장시킬 수 있는 단계에 빠르게 도달한다. 그러나 자신의 모 교회와 멀어진 대부분의 사람들은 순수한 영적인 것을 전적으로 받아 드리려고 하지 않는다.

그들은 모든 것을 부정한다. 그래서 자신을 악한 세력에 넘겨줄 수 있는 아주 위험한 상태에 있다. 왜냐하면 자신을 붙잡아줄 수 있는 교회를 떠나 전적으로 믿음이 없이 살려고 하고, 그의 모든 생각의 방향은 단지 현재에만 향해 있기 때문이다. 그러나 이들은 사후에 계속 사는 것을 부인한다. 이것이 바로 사람들이 지금까지의 믿음을 떠난 대부분의 큰 이유이다. 사람들에게 한번 큰 위험이 닥친다면 이들은 어쩔 줄 모른다. 그들은 하나님을 구하지만, 이 하나님을 어디서 구해야 할지를 모른다.

사역자는 옛 양육을 더 이상 유지할 수 없을 것이다. 하나님의 말씀을 전파하는 그에게 그의 직분을 쉽게 해주는 능력이 사라졌다. 왜냐하면 그들 자신에게 진실된 깊은 믿음이 부족하기 때문이다. 그들은 더 이상 자신이 가르치는 것을 거룩한 열심으로 대변할 수 없다. 이 사실이 다른 사실을 설명해준다. 하나님의 말씀이 선포하는 사람 안에서 생명력있게 되어야만 한다.

백성들에게 설교하는 사람은 구세주에 대한 진정한 사랑으로 충만해야만 한다. 그러면 그의 입에서 나오는 모든 말은 마치 주님 자신으로부터 나온 것처럼 될 것이다. 그러면 모든 말이 사람들의 심장으로 파고 들어간다. 그러면 이 땅에서 주님을 따르고 그를 섬기려는 자세가 되어 있는 작은 무리들이 더 긴밀하게 하나가 된다.

모 교회를 떠나는 사람은 만약에 그가 자유 의지로 스스로 하나님의 가르침을 심장으로 깊이 받아들이지 않으면, 하나님의 은혜를 잃는다. 너희가 타락하지 않으려면, 요즘 세상에 이러한 심장으로 싸우는 일이 아주 큰 가치가 있다. 하나님의 말씀을 듣기 위해 모이는 교회에서 기초가 준비가 되고 사람 안에서 사랑이 역사한다.

이로써 이 땅의 자녀가 하나님의 가르침 속으로 항상 더 깊게 들어갈 수 있게 되면서, 그가 하나님의 말씀을 올바로 이해할 수 있게 되면서, 하나님의 말씀의 축복을 체험할 것이다. 이로써 이러한 교회에는 믿음의 기초가 세워지고, 이 교회는 한 사람의 신실한 하나님을 섬기는 목자아래 있게 된다. 이처럼 주님의 말씀이 믿는 사람들의 심장에 곧 뿌리를 내리고, 그들은 위를 향한 올바른 길로 인도받는다. 그러므로 너희의 모 교회에 충실하고 떠나지 마라.

만약에 너희가 하늘의 아버지가 자신의 종들을 통해 너희에게 주는 것을 귀로만 듣지 않고 심장으로 듣는다면, 너희 자신이 높은 곳으로 성장할 수 있는 기초를 모든 교회가 제공해줄 수 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 너희가 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 곳에는 주님 자신이 종들을 통해 너희에게 말한다는 것을 알라.

하나님을 섬기는 모든 종들은 언젠가 큰 수확을 하도록 하나님의 말씀을 전파하도록 택함 받았다는 것을 알라. 주님의 포도원의 모든 일꾼들 존경하라. 말씀을 전하는 사람은 하나님으로부터 사명과 능력을 받았다. 그의 말을 들으라. 모든 시간에 하나님의 말씀의 축복이 너희에게 임할 것이다. 아멘

Leaving the mother church....

The biggest foolishness in life takes place when people withdraw from the church they belong to. The circumstances the clergy find themselves in nowadays are not easy.... they do everything possible to help the church keep its sheep and yet one after the other isolates itself and often no longer finds its way back.... It is then exceptionally difficult to influence the souls of such deserters even though this is and indeed should be every clergyman’s task. Now the Lord puts the gift of teaching into the hands of His chosen servants.... not to push the clergy out of office but to help them, so that people outside the church also receive the blessing of God’s Word. But who listens to and accepts the Word....

It is indescribably difficult for someone having voluntarily separated himself from the church to submit to God’s commandments.... It is not as if he did not have the opportunity to walk the right path.... If his heart dictates what is pleasing to the Lord and he follows this voice he will very soon reach a level which can lead him to much further ascent.... but usually people who have separated from their mother church are not at all interested in purely spiritual matters. They deny everything and are therefore in an extremely unsafe position by delivering themselves to evil powers, since they give up all support which the church had still provided to them and are far more likely to become entirely unbelieving, and their whole direction of thought only applies to the present.... but they deny life after death, which is generally the reason why they have separated from their previous belief. If these people are confronted by great hardship one day they won’t know where to turn.... then they will look for their God and don’t know where to look for Him....

The clergy will never again be able to keep up the old discipline, it has lost the strength which makes the task of the messengers of God’s Word easier, because they themselves often lack true profound faith as well.... They cannot any longer support with holy eagerness what they are teaching, and thus one thing explains the other. God’s Word has to come to life in the messenger.... anyone speaking to the people has to be permeated by true love for the Saviour. Then every word flowing from his mouth will be spoken by the Lord Himself.... then every word will also enter into the human beings’ hearts, and the small flock of people on earth which follows the Saviour and is willing to serve Him, will unite ever more closely. But anyone leaving the mother church surrenders himself to divine grace if he does not voluntarily bring himself in his heart to accept the divine doctrine.... Such struggle of heart is of immense value at the present time if you do not want to perish. The soil is being prepared wherever a community congregates to hear God’s Word, and if a person’s love is active as well the earthly child will soon feel the blessing of God’s Word by being able to penetrate the divine teaching ever more and by receiving the right understanding for God’s Word.

And thus the foundation of faith is laid in such a community, and if a faithful, God-serving shepherd is in charge of this community the Lord’s Words will soon take root in the hearts of the believers, and they will be correctly guided onto the path of ascent. Therefore remain faithful to your mother church and don’t leave it, for every church can give you the foundation for your own progress of ascent if you don’t just listen with your ears but also with your hearts to what your Heavenly Father is telling you through His servants. Therefore, when you hear God’s Word you should know that the Lord Himself is speaking to you.... you should know that everyone who serves the Lord has been chosen to proclaim the Word, that one day there shall be a great harvest.... and respect all workers in the vineyard of the Lord.... Any person proclaiming His Word has been given the task and strength by Him.... thus listen to him and the blessing of God’s Word will always come over you....
