Fallimento dei compagni di via

Non avrete da registrare nessun successo significativo alla fine della vostra vita terrena quando avete percorso la via larga, quando vi siete uniti ai viandanti senza prima domandare dove conduce la via che le “masse” percorrono. – Perché allora siete soltanto dei compagni che credono di poter scaricare la loro responsabilità sul loro prossimo, su coloro che guidano le masse. Ogni singolo uomo arriverà nel suo percorso terreno a delle crocivie, ed anche singoli accompagnatori prendono altre vie – ed allora l’uomo deve prendere una decisione da sé stesso dove vuole rivolgersi. – Perché se egli rimane un compagno della via larga fino alla fine della sua vita, egli non ha conquistato nulla per la salvezza della sua anima. Perciò delle organizzazioni di chiese non possono mai garantire il raggiungimento della beatitudine ai loro associati, perché a questa ogni uomo deve tendere e lottare da sè, e gli possono bensì essere date delle indicazioni, ma ogni uomo deve ora svolgere su sé stesso il lavoro dell’anima – cioè ognuno deve ora percorrere da sé la via che conduce in Alto. E’ un grave errore di voler scaricare la responsabilità per la sua anima su presunte guide, di fare sempre soltanto quello che richiedono queste guide e credere che questo fosse “cosciente lavoro sull’anima”. – E’ un grave errore di non poter sottoporre le richieste di quelle guide ad un esame – di accettare tutto incondizionatamente e di credere ciò che quelli presentano come Verità. Anche se fosse la Verità, ogni uomo deve prendervi posizione, perché soltanto allora può riconoscere quando l’errore vuole insinuarsi e difendersene. Ma chi si fida totalmente di ciò che deve essere inevitabilmente controllato, non deve presumere che la sua omissione trovi scusa – non deve credere di poter caricare la sua colpa su coloro che lo hanno guidato erroneamente. Ognuno vede le vie che si diramano ed egli può prendere ugualmente quelle vie come quella su cui cammina, ma dovrebbe sempre domandarsi dove conducono le diverse vie ed ora scegliere coscientemente. Ma chi butta gli occhi a terra e va spensieratamente dietro alle masse, può anche non vedere l’incrocio ed anche allora è colpa sua perché deve guardarsi intorno, non deve andare alla cieca se gli è stata concessa la Grazia di poter vedere. Ed egli deve riflettere, perché per questo gli è stato dato l’intelletto che deve anche usare per il raggiungimento della salvezza dell’anima. E dovete anche sapere che non è mai giusta la via che è percorsa dalle masse. Perché le masse sono guidate dall’avversario di Dio e mai vi si troverà la Verità. Voi uomini dovete ricordarvi che sulla Terra l’avversario ha il predominio e che gli appartengono molti più uomini che a Dio. Se soltanto vorreste riconoscere nel marciume degli uomini, nell’assenza d’amore e del basso stato spirituale quanto è forte il suo potere sull’umanità. Allora voi, se siete tesi seriamente a raggiungere la salvezza della vostra anima, non vi muovereste tra le masse, ve ne separereste e cerchereste una via che è orientata diversamente – badereste ai messaggeri che precedono con la Luce per illuminarvi la via, non vi accontentereste con discorsi vani, chiedereste delle istruzioni sagge che vi danno una vera luce – voi stessi riflettereste per giungere ad una Luce sempre più chiara. Scuotetevi di dosso la spensieratezza, dove si tratta della salvezza della vostra anima. – Non lasciate provvedere altri per voi, perché per la vostra anima portate voi stessi la responsabilità che nessuno può togliervi. Cercate voi stessi di mettervi in contatto con Dio, scegliete Lui come vostra Guida e liberatevi di coloro che sulla Terra credono di essere Suoi rappresentanti, perché i veri rappresentanti di Dio vi indicheranno sempre soltanto di stabilire il contatto con Dio, i falsi rappresentanti però vogliono togliervi la responsabilità e pretendono da voi soltanto cieca obbedienza e adempimento di comandamenti che loro stessi hanno rilasciati. Se volete diventare beati allora dovete anche percorrere le vie che conducono alla Beatitudine, dovete pregare Dio che Egli vi indichi le giuste vie e vi dia forza di camminarvi anche quando conducono in alto. E Dio vi manderà incontro le giuste guide, Egli Stesso vi attirerà e raggiungerete certamente la vera meta.

Mere conformists will be unsuccessful....

You will be unable to demonstrate any noteworthy success at the end of your earthly life if you have travelled the broad road, if you have joined other travellers without first having asked where the path of the masses is leading to.... For then you will be mere conformists who believe that they can shift their responsibility onto other people, onto those who lead the crowds. Each individual person will come upon crossroads during his life on earth, and each time some of his companions will turn off, and then the human being will have to decide for himself which direction he wants to take.... For as long as he merely remains a conformist for the rest of his life he will have gained nothing for the salvation of his soul. This is why church organisations can never guarantee that their members will reach beatitude, for this has to be pursued and attained by every person himself, and although he can indeed be appropriately instructed every person nevertheless has to do the work of improving his soul himself.... that is, everyone will then have to take his own path of ascent.

It is a big mistake for a person to think that he can pass the responsibility for his soul on to alleged leaders, to only ever comply with the requests of these leaders and to believe that this is 'conscious psychological work'.... And it is an even bigger mistake to believe that people should not scrutinise these leaders' requests, that they should unconditionally accept or believe everything that those in authority portray as truth.... And even if it is the truth, every human being should form his own opinion of it, for only then will he be able to recognise when error creeps in and guard against it. But anyone who entirely relies on what definitely must be scrutinised should not assume that his omission will be excused, he should not assume that he can transfer his blame onto those who have guided him wrongly, for everyone can see the paths branching off and can take these just as easily as the trodden one, but he always needs to ask himself where the different paths will lead to and then make a conscious choice.

However, anyone who keeps his eyes to the ground and thoughtlessly follows the crowds can miss the crossroads, and then it will be his fault as well, for he is supposed to be watchful himself, he is not meant to walk blindly since he was given the gift of sight.... And he is supposed to think, because this is why he was given intellect, which he should use for attaining his salvation. And you also should know that the path of the masses will never be the right path.... For the masses are led by God's adversary and the truth will never be found there. If only you humans would bear in mind that the adversary dominates on earth and that far more people belong to him than to God.... If only people's wickedness, heartlessness and spiritual low level would make you realise much power he has over the human race.... Then, if you were seriously striving to reach your salvation, you would not move with the crowds, you would separate yourselves and find a path which leads in a different direction.... You would pay attention to the messengers who lead the way with a light in order to illuminate the path.... you would not be satisfied; you would think for yourselves and become ever more enlightened.

Shake off your indifference where it concerns your souls' salvation.... Don't let others take care of you for your soul is your own responsibility, of which no one can relieve you. Try to contact God Himself, choose Him as your Leader, liberate yourselves from those who want to be His representatives on earth, for His true representatives will only ever advise you to establish your own connection with God, but false representatives want to relieve you of your responsibility and just demand blind obedience from you and the fulfilment of their own commandments.... If you want to attain bliss then you will have to take the paths which lead to beatitude yourselves; you have to appeal to God to show you the right paths and to give you the strength to take them, even if they lead uphill.... And God will also send the right guides to meet you, He will draw you to Himself, and you will safely reach the right goal....
