Cristo, il Capo della Sua Chiesa - Membri della vera Chiesa

Il Capo della Chiesa di Cristo rimane Gesù Cristo Stesso, perché questa Chiesa si basa sulla fede nella Sua Opera di Redenzione, che abbraccia la comunità dei credenti, quindi di coloro che si mettono sotto la Croce di Cristo e vogliono partecipare alla Redenzione tramite il Suo Sangue, che Egli ha versato per l’umanità peccaminosa. Diversamente che su questa fede in Lui e la Sua Redenzione non è da intendere la Sua Chiesa, e così sono anche da intendere le Parole di Gesù: “Tu sei Pietro, la roccia, su di te voglio edificare la Mia Chiesa.... ”. Pietro era il più credente fra i Suoi discepoli e lui ha riconosciuto la Missione dell’Uomo Gesù, credeva in Lui come il Figlio di Dio e Redentore del mondo, benché nelle ore di miseria terrena ha posto il mondo nel proscenio, che lo ha spinto alla sua triplice negazione. La sua fede era perciò non più debole, soltanto la carne ha fallito nella paura e miseria degli avvenimenti intorno a Gesù. Quindi, chi vuole appartenere alla Sua Chiesa, deve riconoscere Gesù Cristo, e perciò Gesù Cristo deve anche sempre essere professato come segno dell’appartenenza alla Sua Chiesa. E quindi anche il Suo Insegnamento dovrà essere annunciato, cioè dev’essere insegnato lo stesso di ciò che Gesù ha insegnato ai Suoi prossimi, agli uomini deve venir portato vicino il Vangelo, perché questo sapere è necessario per far rivivere anche la fede nella Redenzione attraverso Gesù Cristo. Perché soltanto la viva fede è il motivo che l’uomo entri nel giusto rapporto con Lui, il Quale gli ha conquistato l’eterna Beatitudine attraverso la Sua morte sulla Croce. Perciò gli appartenenti di ogni confessione possono far valere il diritto sull’appartenenza alla vera Chiesa di Cristo, se soltanto stanno nella fede in Gesù Cristo e la sua Opera di Redenzione e sono penetrati nel Suo Vangelo e conducono il loro cammino di vita secondo la Sua divina Dottrina dell’amore. Questi soltanto sono i segni della Chiesa, che Gesù Stesso ha fondato sulla Terra, affinché gli uomini rimangano nel Suo Spirito e non Lo dimentichino mai più e tendano a seguirLo nelle azioni, parole e pensieri. La fede in Gesù Cristo determina l’uomo ad una giusta conduzione di vita, perché per lui le Parole di Gesù, il Suo Vangelo, sono sacre; le rispetta come la Parola di Dio e cerca di viverle fino in fondo. E con ciò risveglia alla Vita lo spirito in sé e l’Agire dello Spirito è poi il segno più inequivocabile di essere un appartenente della vera Chiesa di Cristo. Ma non sono dei legami esteriori, l’adempimento di formule esteriori oppure una appartenenza obbligatoria nel modo tradizionale, che annovera un uomo nella comunità dei credenti. Perché allora non ha molto a che fare con il risveglio dello spirito, che pretende di più che l’appartenenza esteriore soltanto secondo il nome. Chi vede in Gesù Cristo il Capo della Chiesa, tende coscientemente verso di Lui e per costui la Sua Parola è il Vangelo, l’unica via verso la meta, perché la Parola di Gesù Cristo è la Carne ed il Sangue, è il Pane ed il Vino dai Cieli; di conseguenza deve anche guidare nel Cielo, deve guidare alla strettissima unificazione con il divino Redentore Stesso e quindi rendere beati. La Parola quindi è il nucleo della Chiesa di Cristo, la Parola è la Sua Dottrina dell’amore, e dove questa viene guidata agli uomini, là sarà sempre la vera Chiesa di Cristo. E chi accoglie la Sua Parola nel suo cuore e vive secondo questa, costui è il suo seguace, egli è un membro della Sua Chiesa, che è quindi sempre da intendere soltanto spiritualmente, quindi non è legato alle organizzazioni terrene. Ciononostante ogni organizzazione chiesastica-terrena può abbracciare dei membri di questa Chiesa, appena adempiono quelle condizioni, se sono dei veri seguaci credenti e confessori di Gesù Cristo e della Sua Opera di Redenzione.

Christ head of His church.... members of the true church....

The head of the church of Christ remains Jesus Christ Himself.... For this church, which comprises the community of believers, i.e. those who place themselves under the cross of Christ and want to participate in the redemption through His blood, which He shed for sinful humanity, is based on faith in His redemptive work. His church cannot be understood in any other way than on this faith in Him and His redemption, and this is also how Jesus' words are to be understood: "You are Peter, the rock, on you I will build My Church....". Peter was the most faithful among His disciples, and he recognized the mission of the man Jesus, he believed in Him as God's son and redeemer of the world, although in hours of earthly distress he put the world in the foreground, which drove him to his threefold denial. His faith was therefore not weaker, only his flesh failed in the anguish and distress of the events surrounding Jesus. Therefore, whoever wants to belong to His church must acknowledge Jesus Christ, and therefore Jesus Christ will also always have to be confessed as a sign of belonging to His church. And thus His teaching will also have to be proclaimed in it, i.e. the same must be taught as Jesus taught His fellow human beings.... the gospel must be brought to people because the knowledge of it is necessary in order to revive faith in the redemption through Jesus Christ. For only the right faith is the cause for a person to enter into the right relationship with Him, Who acquired eternal bliss for him through His death on the cross....

(23.8.1949) For this reason, followers of every denomination can claim membership of the true church of Christ if they only believe in Jesus Christ and His act of salvation and have penetrated His gospel and live their lives according to His divine teaching of love. These alone are the signs of the church which Jesus Himself founded on earth, that people remain in His spirit and never ever let Him out of their thoughts and strive to follow Him in deeds, words and thoughts.... Faith in Jesus Christ determines a person's right conduct of life, for Jesus' words, His gospel, are sacred to him; he respects them as God’s word and seeks to live them out. And through this he awakens the spirit in himself to life, and the working of the spirit is then the most unmistakable sign of being a member of the true church of Christ. But it is not outward bonds, the fulfilment of outward formulas or a forced membership in the traditional way that makes a person belong to the community of believers. For then the awakening of the spirit is not far off, which demands more than outward membership in name only. Anyone who sees Jesus Christ as the head of the church consciously strives towards Him and for him His word is the gospel.... the only path to the aim.... because the word is Jesus Christ's flesh and blood, it is bread and wine from heaven; consequently it must also lead to heaven, it must lead to the closest union with the divine redeemer Himself and thus make him blissfully happy. Hence the word is the core of Christ's church, the word is His teaching of love, and where this is conveyed to people there will always be the true church of Christ. And anyone who receives His word into his heart and lives accordingly is His follower, he is a member of His church, which is only ever to be understood spiritually, thus not bound to earthly organizations. Nevertheless, every earthly ecclesiastical organization can include members of this church as long as they fulfil those conditions, provided they are truly devout followers and confessors of Jesus Christ and His act of salvation....
