La dipendenza spirituale – Insegnamenti di fede nella costrizione – Ricompensa oppure punizione

Gli uomini capitano nella dipendenza spirituale, se si lasciano spingere dai prossimi in una direzione spirituale, che pretende da loro un’accettazione dei loro insegnamenti senza contraddizione, che quindi derubano l’uomo della sua libertà spirituale. L’uomo deve bensì prenderne conoscenza, ma dovrà poter rifiutare senza costrizione ogni insegnamento offerto, non deve rimanere influenzato e decidersi totalmente libero per o contro questo insegnamento. La libertà spirituale non dev’essere toccata, e questa rimane all’uomo finché non viene influenzato in nessuna direzione attraverso la costrizione o da minacce di doversi decidere. Appena viene minacciato da punizioni temporanee o eterne, la sua decisione è già influenzata svantaggiosamente in quanto la spinta è la paura, allora non è valida dinanzi a Dio.

All’uomo deve bensì essere messo davanti agli occhi l’effetto di un camino terreno sia giusto che sbagliato, ma per questo non deve mai essere usata l’espressione di punizione o ricompensa, ma gli deve essere chiarito, che è nel suo potere di formarsi la vita nell’aldilà in modo bello o insopportabile, che lui stesso decide quindi lo stato nell’Eternità attraverso il suo cammino di vita, che egli stesso può crearsi qualcosa di incomparabilmente magnifico, ma che può anche creare a sé stesso una sorte misera, tormentosa attraverso la sua volontà, ma la sua sorte nell’aldilà non è mai una punizione oppure una ricompensa emessa su di lui da Dio; perché non deve mai tendere verso l’Alto per via della ricompensa, come nemmeno la paura di punizione deve determinare il suo volere ed agire.

Ma appena i pensieri dell’uomo vengono guidati attraverso insegnamenti di fede, che conduce la sua vita sotto una certa costrizione, che esegue delle azioni oppure anche dell’agire nell’amore prescritti solamente, perché gli vengono imposte in certo qual modo come obbligo, poiché la loro omissione viene rappresentata come peccato che gli procura delle punizioni nell’Eternità, quando cerca di conquistarsi attraverso l’esercizio di tali azioni una ricompensa nell’Eternità, allora il suo agire non è più da considerare come libera volontà, l’uomo è piuttosto in una dipendenza spirituale, che gli fa compiere obbligatoriamente ciò che dev’essere fatto per propria spinta, senza paura di punizione e senza speranza in una ricompensa.

L’uomo deve sempre pensare, che si trova in uno stato non redento dal quale si deve liberare e lo può anche fare, se ne ha la volontà, che lui stesso si forma la sua sorte nell’Eternità, ma che Dio non emette mai su di lui una punizione oppure lo ricompensa per ciò che deve fare o non fare per la sua propria Redenzione. Dio lascia all’uomo la sua pienissima libertà ed una punizione o una ricompensa toglierebbe già all’uomo la libertà della volontà. Lui stesso si forma la sorte secondo la sua volontà e gli deve essere messo davanti agli occhi solamente, che la vita terrena ha l’effetto nell’Eternità, affinché non viva la sua vita alla giornata da irresponsabile. Ma se viene esercitata una costrizione spirituale, allora la sua libera volontà viene esclusa in quanto questa viene sostituita dalla paura o dalla speranza ed allora le buone azioni non vengono valutate come l’agire d’amore, perché per questo la prima condizione è la totale libera volontà.

Ogni buona azione dev’essere portata dall’amore, e l’amore non si può obbligare né attraverso la paura né attraverso la speranza in un vantaggio. Perciò all’uomo deve anche essere predicato solamente l’amore, ma mai preteso l’agire d’amore per costrizione, cosa che però è il caso, quando l’uomo viene obbligato nel suo agire e volere attraverso la minaccia di punizioni temporali o eterne. L’amore non può essere risvegliato attraverso qualche costrizione, deve svilupparsi nel cuore e spingere l’uomo a tutto ciò che pensa e fa, allora la volontà rimane libera ed il suo agire e pensare ha valore dinanzi a Dio.

Spiritual dependence.... doctrines of faith in compulsion.... reward or punishment....

People become spiritually dependent if they allow themselves to be forced by fellow human beings into a school of thought which demands that they accept its teachings without contradiction, which thus deprives the human being of his spiritual freedom. The human being should certainly take note of it but be allowed to utilize every teaching offered to him without coercion, he should remain uninfluenced and decide completely freely for or against this teaching. Spiritual freedom must not be infringed upon, and man remains spiritually free as long as he is not influenced in any direction by coercion or threats to decide in his favour. As soon as he is threatened with temporal or eternal punishment, his decision is already unfavourably influenced insofar as he makes it driven by fear, and then it is invalid before God. The human being should certainly be made aware of the consequences of the right as well as the wrong earthly life, but the expression punishment or reward should never be used, instead it must be made clear to him that it is in his power to make the life in the beyond beautiful or unbearable, that he himself therefore determines the state in eternity through his way of life, that he can create incomparably marvellous things for himself, but that he can also prepare a meagre, agonizing fate for himself through his will, but that his fate in the beyond is never a punishment or a reward imposed on him by God.... for he should never strive upwards for the sake of reward, just as the fear of punishment should never determine his will and actions. But as soon as man's thoughts are directed by doctrines of faith in such a way that he leads his life under a certain compulsion, that he only carries out prescribed actions or works of love because they are, as it were, made his duty, because their omission is regarded as sin, which will bring him punishment in eternity.... if he tries to gain a reward in eternity by carrying out such actions, then his actions are no longer to be regarded as free will, the human being is rather in a spiritual dependence which makes him fulfil according to instructions what is to be done of his own accord, without fear of punishment and without hope of reward. Man should always bear in mind that he is in an unredeemed state from which he should and also can free himself if he has the will to do so, that he himself will shape his fate in eternity, but that God will never punish him or reward him for what he should or should not do for his own redemption. God leaves man complete freedom, and punishment or reward would already be a restriction of freedom for the will of man. He himself shapes his fate according to his will, and only this should be made clear to him, that life on earth has an effect in eternity so that he does not live his life irresponsibly.... However, if spiritual coercion is exercized then his free will is switched off insofar as that it is replaced by fear or hope and then the good deeds are not to be assessed as deeds of love, for completely free will is the first condition for this. Every good deed should be borne by love, and love cannot be determined either by fear or by hope for an advantage. That is why only love should be preached to people, but never should loving actions be demanded by force, which is the case when a person's actions and will are determined by the threat of temporal or eternal punishment. Love cannot be awakened by any kind of compulsion.... it must unfold in the heart and drive man to everything he thinks and does, then the will remains free and his actions and thoughts have value before God....
