La Fonte del sapere - Delizioso sorso di refrigerio

La Fonte del sapere è inesauribile e di Forza inimmaginabile che ne defluisce. E se voi uomini volete solo attingervi, vi potrete anche ristorare a questa Fonte. Ma ne dovete aver sete, perché la Bevanda di ristoro è troppo deliziosa, che potesse affluire agli uomini senza essere desiderata. Quello che Dio Stesso vi offre, non può essere altro che delizioso. E perciò lo dovete desiderare dal più profondo del cuore, non dovete dare spazio ad altro desiderio e bramare soltanto il Dono divino. E molto presto desidererete essere nutriti solo ancora dal Cielo, perché non vi è nulla pari al Cibo ed alla Bevanda. E la nostalgia di questo la dovete cercare di rafforzare oltre degli ostacoli, ogni ostacolo vi deve spingere ad una accresciuta nostalgia. E perciò per voi che volete ricevere i Doni del Cielo, la vita non può passare monotona ed indisturbata. La via verso la Fonte che vi deve refrigerare, è faticosa, ma promette la ricompensa più meravigliosa, se non vi stancate e malgrado gli ostacoli, cercate di spingervi avanti. Non dovete mai dimenticare, che Dio Stesso vi dischiude questa Fonte, che E’ Lui il Quale vi vuole ristorare e fortificare sulla via attraverso la vita terrena; che il suo infinito Amore per voi tiene pronta la cosa più deliziosa che vuole rivolgere a voi e richiede soltanto la vostra volontà di riceverla, per poter provvedervi smisuratamente. L’uomo deve sacrificare per poter ricevere. Tutto ciò che desidera per l’esaudimento terreno, dev’essere combattuto, deve negarsi ogni gioia corporea, se vuole essere provveduto spiritualmente. Deve anche voler rinunciare a tutto per poter ricevere tutto, perché allora si stacca totalmente dalla materia ed ora può anche penetrare liberamente nel Regno spirituale, che adesso gli è d’esaudimento della sua nostalgia. Se l’uomo desidera il terreno, allora per via della sua anima gli deve sovente rimanere negato, se desidera però lo spirituale, il suo desiderio viene smisuratamente esaudito. Perché Dio non mette limiti, Egli dà sempre, quando il Suo Dono è desiderato. Ma per poter afferrare questo Dono in tutto il suo valore e percepire tutta la delizia è possibile solamente, quando ogni desiderio terreno viene soffocato, quando il senso dell’uomo si è rivolto del tutto allo spirituale e la sua anima si sia unita con lo spirito, perché dalla Fonte ora fluisce l’Acqua viva inarrestabilmente ed è ristoro e refrigerio per l’anima assetata.

The source of knowledge is inexhaustible and the power that flows from it is unimaginable. And if you men only want to draw, you will be allowed to refresh yourselves at this source. Yet you must thirst for it, for the refreshment is too delicious to flow to people without being honoured. What God Himself offers you cannot be anything other than delicious. And that is why you should desire it from the bottom of your heart, you should not give room to any other desire in you and only long for the divine gift. And you will soon only desire to be fed from heaven, for nothing equals the food and drink from above. And you must try to strengthen your longing for it by overcoming obstacles; every obstacle must drive you to increased longing. Therefore your life, you who want to receive the gifts of heaven, cannot pass by monotonously and undisturbed. The path to the source, which is to refresh you, is arduous but promises you the most marvellous reward if you do not tire and try to advance despite obstacles. You should never forget that God Himself opens up this source for you, that it is He Who wants to refresh and strengthen you on the path through earthly life; that His infinite love has the most delicious things in store for you and wants to give them to you and only requires your willingness to receive them in order to be able to give them to you without measure. Man must sacrifice in order to be able to receive. Everything in him which desires earthly fulfilment has to be fought against, he has to deny himself every bodily pleasure if he wants to be spiritually considered.... He must want to give everything in order to be able to receive everything, for only then will he completely detach himself from matter and can now also enter the spiritual kingdom unhindered, which is now the fulfilment of his longing. If the human being desires earthly things he must often be denied them for the sake of his soul, but if he desires spiritual things his desire will be fulfilled without measure. For God sets no limits, He always gives if His gift is desired.... Yet it is only possible to grasp this gift in all its value and to feel it in all its deliciousness when every earthly desire has been stifled, when the human being's mind has completely turned to the spiritual and thus his soul has united with the spirit, for now the living water flows unstoppably from the spring and is refreshment and refreshment for the thirsting soul....
