La trascuratezza del lavoro terreno - La pigrizia – L’ozio

Osserva quanto hai sempre di più da combattere contro l’inquietudine interiore, più ti sottrai alla regolare attività del giorno, perché per te è di Benedizione quando sei continuamete attiva in riferimento terreno. L’uomo ha un equilibrio animico, che lo rende anche prima idoneo per il tendere spirituale; inoltre questo può servire soltanto come dimostrazione ai prossimi, che la professione non deve soffrire per via del lavoro spirituale. E questo è della massima importanza. Il tempo in arrivo del risveglio spirituale dev’essere contemporaneamente contrassegnato attraverso una oltremodo vivace attività corporea, perché solo tramite questa è anche fornita la dimostrazione, che non deve essere necessariamente motivo una condizione malata per lo strano agire spirituale, che una cosa può armonizzare piuttosto molto bene con l’altra ed il lavoro terreno non deve subire nessun mancanza. E così ora ti giunge l’Ammonimento di dedicarti bensì con tutto il fervore al lavoro spirituale, di rispettarlo anche sempre al primo posto, ma adempiere anche tutte le esigenze terrene, quando si può far coincidere con il primo. Questo dà contemporaneamente una soddisfazione interiore che contribuisce nuovamente che il figlio terreno si dà con tutto l’amore alla dedizione al suo lavoro spirituale e così è molto più capace di agire meglio su questo campo. La minima pigrizia del corpo ha anche un effetto d’impedimento per l’anima; l’uomo diventa di malumore per ogni lavoro, e ci vogliono di nuovo giorni di lotta interiore, prima che sia di nuovo ristabilito il vecchio rapporto, perché diverse altre impressioni hanno scosso il collegamento con il Padre e tutti i disturbi possono essere superati solo con grande volontà. Perché l’accoglienza di queste Comunicazioni diventa sempre più difficile, più lontano sta il figlio terreno dal Padre suo. E dove l’uomo si lascia distrarre dalla vera attività dello spirito, là è anche pregiudicata la sua facoltà di comprensione, ed allora l’uomo si trova sovente di fronte a questioni per lui inspiegabili, la cui Risposta non può essere accolto così facilmente, perché manca la necessaria comprensione, ma questo sempre soltanto quando il figlio terreno trascura il lavoro spirituale e dà più attenzione agli avvenimenti terreni. Perché la tentazione è molto forte, l’avversario cerca di rendere infedele, ovunque gli sia solo possibile. Perciò sta in guardia, rimani nella preghiera e nella costante attività, perché l’ozio non ha mai prodotto nulla di buono, quindi l’uomo deve stare in guardia finché è ancora in grado di prestare il lavoro terreno.

Neglect of earthly work.... sloth.... idleness....

Notice how you have to fight harder and harder against inner restlessness the more you withdraw from the regular activity of the day, for it is a blessing for you if you are constantly active in earthly relationships. The person has a mental balance which also makes him more capable of spiritual striving; moreover, this can only serve as proof to fellow human beings that the profession need not suffer for the sake of spiritual work. And this is of greatest importance - the approaching time of spiritual awakening must at the same time be marked by exceedingly brisk physical activity, for only through such is also the proof supplied that a morbid condition need not necessarily be the occasion for strange spiritual activity, that rather the one can harmonize very well with the other and earthly work need not suffer any loss. And so you only receive the admonition to devote yourself to spiritual work with all eagerness, to always give it first priority, but at the same time to also do justice to all earthly demands as far as it is compatible with the former. At the same time this gives an inner satisfaction which in turn contributes to the earthly child giving itself over to its spiritual work with all love and devotion and is thus much more and better able to work in this field. The slightest sluggishness of the body also has a hindering effect on the soul; the human being becomes reluctant to do any work, and it again requires days of inner struggle before the old relationship is established, because many other impressions have shaken the connection with the father and only with great will can all disturbances be overcome. For it is increasingly difficult to receive these announcements the further away the earth child is from its father. And where the human being allows himself to be distracted from the actual activity of the spirit his comprehension is also impaired, and then the human being is often confronted with questions which are inexplicable to him, the answers to which cannot be received so easily because the necessary understanding for them is lacking, yet this only ever happens when the earthly child neglects the spiritual work and pays more attention to earthly events. For the temptation is very strong.... the adversary seeks to make it apostate wherever he possibly can. So be on your guard, keep in prayer and constant activity, for idleness has never brought about any good, therefore the human being should beware of it as long as he is still able to perform earthly work....
