L’assenza di fede – L’ostacolo

All’uomo nulla è più insopportabile che un sempre continuo sostare nell’assenza di fede. Non solo che manca loro la Forza di essere attivi spiritualmente, ma a loro è anche tolta la possibilità di aspirare in genere ad una conoscenza spirituale. Come dovrebbe anche essere risvegliato in tali uomini la tendenza se si occupano soltanto con cose puramente mondane, se non hanno nessuna fede in una missione che è il vero scopo della loro vita sulla Terra? Solo tutto ciò che è afferrabile, visibile e spiegabile con il loro intelletto ha una qualche influenza su questi uomini, ma tutto il resto, la vita interiore, il patrimonio spirituale di pensieri ed una possibile continuità della vita dopo la morte, lo rifiutano solo con indifferenza come fantasticherie, e così rimane loro solo ancora la vuota vita esteriore, che viene riempita con godimento del mondo, con bramosie e vizi di ogni genere, e non lascia sorgere in loro nessun ulteriore pensiero. Ora però attraverso il saggio Consiglio di Dio ogni essere è incorporato in una forma fino a quando l’anima dell’essere non sia matura per una nuova formazione, per un ulteriore sviluppo in altro involucro. Quello che è il compito di vita di ogni più piccola creatura, dev’essere necessariamente anche il compito dell’essere vivente più alto sulla Terra, dell’uomo, e l’attività terrena non può mai e poi mai bastare, per assicurargli un determinato grado di maturità. Quest’attività terrena serve solo al corpo, che nel breve tempo terreno passa, ma non all’anima, che abita in questo corpo. Come deve ora poter mai svilupparsi l’anima ad una maturità superiore, se non le viene offerto il minimo nutrimento spirituale, se l’uomo non si sforza di assisterla per liberarsi dall’involucro che l’aggrava, dalla materia e le sue catene? L’anima di un uomo, che non ha questa tendenza, rimane continuamente su un basso gradino, questa soffre indicibilmente, se non le viene nessun aiuto ancora nella vita terrena e nell’aldilà ha da portare una sorte estremamente grave. E tutto questo soltanto perché all’uomo manca la fede, che lui stesso deve rendere conto per tutto ciò che fa o ha omesso nella vita terrena. E’ lasciato all’uomo di fare o non fare ciò che vuole, dato che gli è stata data la libera volontà. Ma una tale vita terrena non riconosciuta e non utilizzata non si dissolve mai in un nulla, l’anima dopo il decesso terreno riconoscerà piuttosto l’ingiustizia in tutta la sua gravità e si pentirà amaramente per il tempo terreno trascorso inutilmente e di cercare nella faticosa lotta e combattere per salire un gradino dopo l’altro, se ha ottenuta in genere solo la conoscenza dell’eterna Divinità! E così sapete, che è necessaria la fede e mai e poi mai da sostituire attraverso sapienza ed un voler conoscere intellettualmente la Creazione. Una fede infantile unita con il più intimo amore per il Salvatore soltanto può guidarvi all’eterna Beatitudine, ma senza questa rimanete delle creature morte, anche se vi muovete in mezzo al trambusto del mondo. Siete poveri nello spirito e non potete mai aver parte delle Benedizioni, che vi può dare una ferma fede, ma camminerete nel buio, finché non desiderate nella libera volontà la Luce e l’accettate con fede. Solo allora potrete seguire la destinazione, che è il senso della vostra incorporazione.

Faithlessness.... obstacle....

Nothing is more detrimental to people than a perpetual persistence in faithlessness. Not only do they lack the strength to be spiritually active but they are also deprived of the opportunity to strive for spiritual realization at all. How should this endeavour be awakened in such people if they only concern themselves with purely worldly things, if they have no faith whatsoever in a mission, which is the real purpose of their life on earth. Only everything tangible, visible and explainable with their intellect has any influence on these people.... but everything else, the inner life, spiritual thoughts and a possible continuation of life after death.... they indifferently reject as fantasies, and so all that remains for them is an extremely empty life, which is completely filled with the pleasures of the world, with all kinds of desires and vices, and thus allows no further thoughts to arise in them. However, by God's wise decree, every living being is embodied in one form until the soul of the being is ripe for a new mould.... for further development in another shell. What is the life task of every smallest creature must of necessity also be the task of the highest living being on earth.... the human being, and earthly activity can never suffice to secure a certain degree of maturity for it.... This earthly activity only benefits the body, which passes away in a short time on earth.... but not the soul that inhabits this body. How can the soul ever develop to higher maturity if it is not offered the slightest spiritual nourishment.... if the human being does not endeavour to help it to free itself from its burdensome shell, matter and its chains. The soul of a person who does not make this endeavour will remain on a low level, it will suffer unspeakably if it is not helped in earthly life and will have to bear an extremely difficult fate in the beyond. And all this only because the human being lacks the belief that he himself must take responsibility for everything he does or fails to do in earthly life. It is up to the human being to do or not to do what he wants, since he was given free will. But such an unrecognized and unused earthly life will never dissolve into nothingness, rather, after its earthly demise the soul will recognize the injustice in all its gravity and bitterly regret the useless past lifetime and try to climb one step after the other in arduous struggles and battles, once it has become aware of the eternal deity.... And so you know that faith is necessary and can never ever be replaced by wisdom and the intellectual will to recognize creation.... A childlike faith combined with the most heartfelt love for the saviour alone can lead you to eternal bliss, but without it you remain dead creatures, even if you move in the midst of the world's hustle and bustle.... You are poor in spirit and can never partake of the blessings that a firm faith can give you.... but you will walk in darkness until you desire light of your own free will and believingly accept it. Only then will you be able to fulfil the purpose of your embodiment....
