La Grazia divina – La necessità della preghiera

Quello che affluisce a voi come Grazia, da solo è già una dimostrazione d’Amore del Signore, perché voi stessi senza l’Aiuto divino non sareste capaci di liberarvi dalle catene della materia. Ma la costante lotta e preghiera per la forza vi allontana lentamente dalla Terra e la sua brama. Come un uccello si lancia in alto nell’aria, lasciando dietro a sé tutto ciò che è attaccato alla Terra, così anche l’anima si eleverà sempre di più nelle sfere, dove la pressione della gravità terrestre non tocca più così percettibilmente. Il corpo dimora bensì ancora sulla Terra e deve svolgere l’attività terrena, ma quest’attività non è più la cosa principale della vita, ma si compirà come da sé, percettibilmente sostenuta dagli esseri spirituali di protezione dati all’uomo, che ce la mettono tutta per mantenere l’anima del figlio terreno in quelle sfere e che vorrebbero impedire con tutte le Forze il ritorno alla Terra. Nel tempo della maturità interiore l’anima si isolerà e desidererà sempre di più solo un ambiente spirituale, abbandona spesso il corpo e si sofferma prevalentemente in regioni spirituali, cioè il mondo dei pensieri, nel quale un tale figlio terreno si sofferma, sarà d’ora in poi puramente spirituale, e vuole sapere poco o persino nulla della Terra e le sue pretese, ma ha sempre il desiderio di accogliere il Nutrimento spirituale in forma di Verità spirituali. Il sentimento più sicuro di uno sviluppo verso l’Alto è sempre il desiderio per il Cibo spirituale. Chi viene ancora trattenuto sulla Terra, non lo desidera, il suo senso è rivolto ad altri godimenti, e solamente dove l’anima si è già nobilitata e purificata, aspira a penetrare nell’insondabile. Un tale desiderio verrà poi anche promosso e sostenuto da tutti gli esseri nell’aldilà, che assistono una tale anima durante il suo tempo terreno. Per l’anima nulla è più pericoloso che un sempre continuo saziarsi con godimenti e gioie terreni, è totalmente incapace di accogliere degli Insegnamenti spirituali e così deruba sé stessa della Grazia più grande, se non può pregare e, riconoscendo la sua imperfezione, non supplica il Padre celeste per l’Aiuto. Tali uomini il Signore li provvede particolarmente amorevole, mentre li conduce su vie spinose, attraverso sofferenza e preoccupazioni, affinché debbano finalmente trovare il Padre, quando hanno bisogno di Aiuto nella grande miseria ed oppressione. Se si sono una volta rifugiati nella preghiera, a loro verranno aperti gli occhi e questo è già una Grazia, che li può portare al progresso dell’anima, se l’uomo stesso ha soltanto un po’ di buona volontà. L’uomo non deve mai dimenticare la preghiera. Finché si può unire nella preghiera con il Padre celeste, gli è aperta la Fonte di Grazia, e nulla nella vita terrena gli sarà troppo difficile, quando si serve di questa Grazia divina, per mezzo della quale può anche mettere mano all’opera di formare sé stesso secondo la Volontà di Dio. Senza la Grazia divina l’uomo non può fare nulla, con questa però infinitamente molto, perciò pregate affinché il Signore vi gratifichi con la Sua Grazia, e non dovete scoraggiarvi, perché la Benignità di Dio dura in eterno.

Divine Grace.... Necessity of prayer....

Grace flowing to you is in itself a proof of the Lord's love, for without Divine help, you yourselves would not be able to free yourselves from the fetters of matter.... But the constant struggle and prayer for strength gradually removes you from the earth and it's desire....

As a bird swings high into the air, leaving everything that sticks to the earth far behind it, so the soul will also rise more and more in spheres where the pressure of the weight of the earth no longer touches it so noticeably.... The body still resides on earth and must pursue the earthly activity, but this activity is no longer the main thing in life, but will take care of itself, perceptibly supported by the spiritual protective structures given to man.... those who do their utmost to preserve the soul of the earthly child in those spheres, and who want to prevent the decline of the earth with all their strength.

At the time of inner maturity, the soul will separate itself and always only desire spiritual surroundings.... it often leaves the body and stays predominantly in spiritual regions.... i.e., the world of thoughts in which such an earthly child prefers to stay, will from now on be purely spiritual, and of the earth and it's requirements, it wants to know little or nothing, but always has the desire to take up spiritual food in the form of spiritual truths.

The surest feeling of a higher development, is always the desire for spiritual food.... Whoever is still held on earth, does not long for this.... his sense wants other pleasures, and only where the soul has already refined and purified itself, it is anxious to penetrate into unfathomable things. Such a desire will then also be encouraged and supported by all beings in the hereafter, which look after such a soul during it's time on earth.

Nothing is more dangerous for the soul than an everlasting saturation with earthly pleasures and joys.... it is completely unable to accept spiritual teachings and thus deprives itself of the greatest grace.... so it cannot pray - and, recognizing it's imperfection, begs the heavenly Father for help. The Lord commemorates such people especially lovingly by leading them over thorny paths, through suffering and sorrows, so that they should finally find their way to the Father when they need help in great need and distress. Once they have taken refuge in prayer, their eyes will be opened and this is already a grace that can lead them to the progress of the soul, when man himself has only some good will.

Never should man forget prayer.... As long as he can unite with the heavenly Father in prayer, the source of grace is open to him, and nothing will be too difficult for him in his life on earth if he makes use of this Divine grace.... by means of which he can also lend a hand in the work of shaping himself according to the will of God. Without Divine grace, man can do nothing.... but with it, infinitely much - so pray that the Lord will consider you with His grace, and you need not despair.... For God's goodness endures eternally....
