La lutte de l'esprit avec le corps pour la suprématie sur l'âme

Chaque être a la nostalgie de sa libération, parce que l'état non-libre est un tourment pour tout le spirituel. Et dans l'incarnation en tant qu’homme le spirituel sent certes sa non-liberté, mais pas le corps ni l'âme. L'âme est aussi initialement sans connaissance de sa situation et par conséquent elle écoute seulement les désirs du corps. Ce derniers cependant se sent libre et même d’autant plus libre qu’il prend plus en considération le monde, c'est-à-dire les joies terrestres et donc il n'impose à lui-même aucun empêchement. Alors, l'âme cède à la poussée du corps et l'esprit reste inconsidéré. Ainsi le spirituel dans l'homme doit subir l'état lié, jusqu'à ce qu’il lui soit apporté de l'aide de la part de l'âme, parce que seulement celle-ci peut l'aider en pensant davantage à l'esprit en lui qu'au corps. Vraiment à cause de cela l'existence terrestre, même si elle doit procurer la libération à l'esprit, est le plus grand danger pour l'âme tant qu’elle ne s'est pas encore libérée des avidités du corps. Par conséquent le corps se dispute avec l'esprit pour la suprématie sur l'âme. Cela est la lutte de la Lumière avec l'obscurité. Les êtres de Lumière luttent avec les puissances de l'obscurité pour l'âme, pour le spirituel, qui s'est éloigné de Dieu et qui ne se rend pas encore entièrement compte qu’il fait partie de la Lumière éternelle, de la Divinité. Lorsque l'âme a atteint la connaissance, elle se tournera librement vers Dieu. Les puissances obscures cependant empêchent par tous les moyens, que l'âme arrive à cette connaissance. Le corps sera un obstacle majeur pour que l'âme se tourne vers l'esprit. Tant que le corps est encore mis au premier plan, pour l'âme il existe peu de possibilité de devenir instruite et d’arriver à la connaissance de sa situation, c'est-à-dire de son éloignement de Dieu. Seulement lorsqu’elle ne porte plus d'attention aux exigences du corps, elle commence à réfléchir sur le vrai but de la vie terrestre. Seulement alors l'adversaire perd le pouvoir ; les forces obscures n'ont plus autant d'influence sur l'âme. Elle se détourne du corps et se tourne vers l'esprit, et lorsque ce lien est établi, il se fait clair et limpide en elle. Donc, l'esprit en elle a vaincu et a conquis la domination sur l'âme, elle s'unit maintenant totalement avec l'esprit et maintenant la libération de l'être est une conséquence inévitable. Mais la lutte est incroyablement difficile et demande un plein engagement de toutes les Forces bonnes, comme aussi de la volonté humaine qui seule est décisive pour l’action de l'âme. La volonté de l'homme seulement est déterminante quant à la direction où l'âme se tourne, la volonté peut décider pour le corps, mais aussi pour l'esprit, mais seulement ce dernier apportera maintenant à l'être la libération définitive de la forme.

Struggle of the spirit with the body for supremacy over the soul....

Every being longs to become free because the unfree state is agonizing for all spiritual beings. But in the embodiment as a human being the spiritual certainly feels its lack of freedom, but not the body and the soul. The soul is likewise initially without realization of its situation and consequently only listens to the body's desires. The body, however, feels free, and indeed the freer the more it can take the world, i.e. earthly pleasures, into account and therefore hardly imposes any restraints on the body. Thus the soul yields to the body's urging and the spirit remains unheeded. And so the spiritual in man must endure the banished state until help comes from the soul. For only the soul can help it by thinking more of the spirit within itself than of the body. And that is why being on earth, although it is supposed to bring liberation to the spirit, is the greatest danger for the soul as long as it has not yet freed itself from the desires of the body. Consequently, the body fights with the spirit for supremacy over the soul.... And this is the struggle of light with darkness.... The beings of light wrestle with the powers of darkness for the soul.... for the spiritual that has distanced itself from God and is not yet fully aware of it that it belongs to the eternal light.... to the deity.... Provided the soul has attained realization, it will voluntarily turn to God. The dark forces, however, prevent the soul from attaining realization by all means. And the body will be the greatest obstacle for the soul to turn to the spirit. As long as the body is still placed in the foreground there is little possibility for the soul to become aware that it comes to the realization of its situation.... i.e. its distance from God.... Only when it no longer pays attention to the demands of the body does it begin to think about the actual purpose of life on earth. Only then does the adversary lose power; the dark forces no longer have so much influence on the soul.... It turns away from the body and towards the spirit within, and once this bond is established, it becomes bright and clear within.... Thus the spirit within it has triumphed and gained dominion over the soul, which is now completely united with the spirit and the inevitable consequence of this is the liberation of the being. Yet the battle is unspeakably difficult and requires the full commitment of all good forces as well as the human will, which alone brings about the soul's decision. The will of the human being alone is decisive as to where the soul turns.... the will can decide in favour of the body, but also in favour of the spirit, but only the latter will bring the being final liberation from the form....
