La foi formelle - Le faux culte religieux

Occupe-toi des Paroles qui t'arrivent aujourd'hui. Tes pensées s’élèvent souvent vers le Ciel et donc elles te guident plus sûrement vers le Haut que chez un fils terrestre même s’il est de bonne volonté, un fils qui écoute volontiers la Doctrine du Christ, mais qui ne donne suite à aucune des pensées qu’il a ressenties. Les hommes ne savent pas qu'ils sont dans une incommensurable richesse, lorsqu’ils écoutent la Parole de Dieu et vivent en conséquence. Ils connaissent certes les Enseignements, mais ils ne saisissent pas leur sens profond, parce que le cœur les écoute bien, mais le cœur ne cherche pas à les comprendre. Et comme la foi ne peut pas être appréhendée depuis l'extérieur, mais seulement intérieurement, alors l'homme reste vide et creux, et la Parole de Dieu ne trouve aucun écho dans le cœur de l'homme. Et à de tels hommes il n’y a pas lieu de parler de jugement. Ils croient être fortement initiés mais ils n'ont pas de toute façon la moindre Sagesse dans le cœur, car celle-ci peut venir uniquement de la compréhension de l'Enseignement de Dieu. Si l'homme veut s’approprier la Parole de Dieu, la première condition est que tout ce qui est autour de lui fasse silence, pour que le cœur puisse L’accueillir, c'est-à-dire que l'homme lui-même ne donne pas prise aux séductions venant de l'extérieur pour le distraire de la Parole de Dieu. Seulement là où l'homme approfondit la Doctrine divine, le cœur est pourvue, et seulement là est aussi atteint la pleine compréhension grâce aux Dons d'en haut. Pour l'homme rien n’est plus inadéquat que la foi dans l'extérieur. Elle rend l'homme paresseux, car il est si conscient de sa valeur et de l'accomplissement de son devoir, qu’une aspiration est hors de question, et ainsi l'homme reste éternellement sur la même marche, parce que la Parole de Dieu retentit dans le vide sans pénétrer dans le cœur, et donc un tel fils terrestre ne peut pas percevoir en lui la Bénédiction d'une profonde foi vivante. Elle lui sera aussi lointaine que la connaissance et, vu qu’il n’y tend pas tout seul, il ne s'approche pas à la Vérité divine, et il n'enregistrera aucun progrès spirituel. Et malgré cela, ce qui est la chose la pire, il vivra dans la croyance d'exécuter à suffisance son devoir. Donc il est plus facile de mener un homme mécréant sur la voie, qu'un qui se contente de toutes les formalités ecclésiastiques, parce que celui-ci est sur une fausse voie, mais il reste presque toujours sur la fausse voie car il manque de connaissance. Lui-même se croit sur la voie juste, il croit servir Dieu, mais son culte religieux est superficiel, il est dépourvu de toute profondeur et par conséquent c’est seulement une foi formelle qui n’attire pas en soi les Bénédictions divines. Et à ceux-ci Mes Paroles ne semblent pas acceptables, parce qu'Elles nécessitent une grande auto-abnégation et un cœur fort, de bonne volonté et capable de sacrifices. Et à lui restera cachée toute Sagesse tant que sa volonté ne le pousse pas à s'intérioriser.

Form faith.... False worship....

Pay attention to the words which are sent to you today.... Your thoughts so often move heavenward and therefore lead you much more surely upward than an earthly child, however willing, who makes a point of listening to Christ's teaching, but afterwards gives no thought whatsoever to what he has heard. People do not know that they stand in immeasurable riches, if they hear the word of God and live according to it..... They are familiar with the teachings, but they do not grasp the deep meaning, because only the ear hears them, but the heart does not try to understand them. And so the faith is outwardly not to be touched, but inwardly the man is empty and hollow, and the Word of God finds no echo in the human heart.

And to such people it is not given to speak a judgment..... They believe to be deeply initiated, and yet do not harbor the slightest wisdom in their hearts, from where alone all understanding of the doctrine of God can come. If a person wants to devote himself to the Word of God, the first condition is that everything around him is silenced so that the heart can absorb.... , i.e., that no temptations from outside are a reason for the person to divert his thoughts from the Word of God. Only where man is immersed in the Divine teaching, the heart will be considered, and only there is also full understanding for the gifts from above to be presupposed.

Nothing is more unwholesome to man than the external affirmation of faith. It lets man become sluggish, because he is so conscious of his value and his fulfillment of duty, that striving is out of the question, and so man remains eternally on the same level, because the Word of God goes unheard by the heart, and therefore such an earthly child cannot feel the blessings of a deep, living faith in himself..... Knowledge will be so far from him.... and.... since he does not strive of his own accord to come close to Divine truth.... he will have no spiritual progress to record.... And yet, what is the worst, living in faith, completely fulfilling his duty.

Therefore, an unbelieving person is even more likely to be guided on the right way than a person who satisfies all ecclesiastical forms, because he is on the wrong way, but remains on this way mostly in wrong or lacking knowledge..... He thinks himself to be on the right track.... he believes to serve God, but his worship is superficial.... it lacks any depth and is therefore only a form-faith which does not contain the Divine blessings.... And My words will not seem acceptable to them, because they demand greater self-denial and a strong heart willing to sacrifice..... And all wisdom will therefore remain hidden from them until their own will drives them to internalize....
