Creencia “convencida”....

Nadie está obligado a creer, porque cada uno tiene que adquirirlo por sí mismo. Entonces, si se le presenta enseñanzas espirituales al hombre, no se le puede exigir obligatoriamente, que crea en ellas, porque tal creencia solo significaría falta de contradicción, es decir, que el hombre no se expresa abiertamente en contra de ella, pero interiormente todavía no necesita estar convencida de ella de ninguna manera.

Tales hombres no deben ser llamados “creyentes”, mientras que no hayan adquirido la convicción interior de la verdad de lo que se requiere para creer. Y tal creencia es inútil ante Dios.... porque ni la mente ni el corazón se adaptan a ella afirmativamente. Sin embargo, la mente por sí sola no puede obtener esta convicción porque no puede presentar ninguna evidencia de la verdad de las enseñanzas espirituales. Pero el corazón puede llegar a la convicción.... pero solo a través del obrar en amor. Y, por otra parte, no se puede obligar al hombre a amar porque el amor es completamente libre.

El amor es el único medio para lograr una fe viva, a una convicción interior sin pruebas. Ésta es una verdad incontrovertible que no puede ser refutada pero que nunca será reconocida por personas sin amor. Porque solo se confirma a través del amor. Y entonces también es comprensible por qué hay discusiones una y otra vez precisamente sobre las doctrinas de la fe, por qué la humanidad tiene opiniones muy diferentes en el campo espiritual y por qué solo se llega a un acuerdo allí donde la gente lleva una vida de amor.... Pero por qué estos últimos también representan sus puntos de vista con plena convicción, porque han ganado la fe justa y viva a través del amor.

Y así, el bien espiritual probablemente podría llevarse a los hombres, pero no podrá convertirse en una convicción en ellos, antes de que el espíritu en ellos no será despertado a través de una vida amorosa. Y, por tanto, es lo primero y lo más urgente si se quiere ayudar a las personas a llegar a la fe, a predicarles el amor y animarlas a obrar en amor. Pero mientras estos esfuerzos no tengan éxito, la gente no podrá creer en todo lo demás que tiene su origen en Dios y debe conducir de regreso a Dios. Por tanto, se puede decir de forma muy sencilla: sin amor, nadie llega a Dios tampoco.

Solo una cosa es necesaria para el hombre: encender el amor dentro de sí mismo. pero se ignoran todas las referencias, solo unos pocos lo toman en serio y buscan formarse al amor, solo unos pocos someten su naturaleza y su comportamiento a criticas serias y buscan cambiarse. Y es por eso que solo unas pocas personas logran su objetivo. Poder creer seriamente es una bendición, pero no debe entenderse como una fe ciega, que no ha precedida por una discusión seria de las doctrinas de la fe.... que una persona que tiene poco amor puede representar.... la fe, que tendría que ser llamado “fanatismo” en vez de “creencia”.

El amor siempre sigue siendo el fundamento de la fe, y una fe sin amor se derrumba en cuanto debe probarse a sí misma.... Pero un día se les exigirá la prueba de los hombres, y entonces sólo unos pocos resistirán, sólo en unos pocos estará presente la convicción, que solo puede dar una vida en amor, la cual es la llamada fuerza de la fe, que puede resistir los hostigamientos más severos en los últimos días antes del fin.

Solo entonces se revelará quién es verdaderamente un creyente.... pero el creyente ciego fallará, Carece de la fuerza que solo el amor le puede dar.... Carece de convicción interior, y por lo tanto renunciará a su fe sin dudarlo, porque en realidad no la tenía....

'Convinced' faith....

No human being is forced to believe but everyone has to acquire it himself. Therefore, even if spiritual teachings are presented to the human being he cannot be compelled to believe in them, because such faith would only mean lack of contradiction, thus the human being would not openly express himself against them but he would still not need to be inwardly convinced of them. Such people therefore cannot be called 'believers' as long as they have not yet gained the inner conviction of the truth of what is demanded to be believed. And such faith is worthless before God.... For neither the intellect nor the heart affirmatively puts itself to it. However, the intellect alone cannot acquire this conviction because it cannot produce any evidence for the truth of the spiritual teachings. But the heart can attain conviction.... but only through the working of love. And the human being, in turn, cannot be forced into love because love is completely free. Love is the only means of attaining a living faith, an inner conviction without proof. This is an incontrovertible truth which cannot be refuted but will never be acknowledged by unloving people. For it is precisely only confirmed through love: And thus it is also understandable why precisely doctrines of faith are repeatedly disputed, why humanity has completely different opinions in the spiritual sphere and why unity can only be recorded where people live a life of love.... but why the latter also hold their views with full conviction, for they have gained the right, living faith through love. And thus spiritual knowledge could certainly be conveyed to people but it will not be able to become a conviction in them until the spirit in them is awakened through a life of love. And therefore it is the first and most urgent thing if people are to be helped to attain faith, to preach love to them and to stimulate them to be active in love. However, as long as these efforts are unsuccessful people will not be able to believe in everything else which has its origin in God and should lead to God again. So it can be said quite simply: Without love no one will reach God. Only one thing is necessary for man: to kindle love in himself. But all indications of this are ignored, only a few take it seriously and try to shape themselves into love, only a few subject their nature and their way of acting to serious criticism and try to change. And that is why only a few people reach the aim. To be able to believe wholeheartedly is blissful, but it is not to be understood as blind faith which has not been preceded by a serious examination of the doctrines of faith.... which can also be held by a person who has little love.... the faith which should rather be called 'fanaticism' than 'faith'. Love always remains the foundation of faith, and a faith without love collapses as soon as it is to prove itself.... But one day people will be called upon to prove themselves, and then only a few will persevere, only a few people will have this conviction which only a life of love can give and which is therefore called the strength of faith which stands firm in the most difficult tribulations in the last days before the end. Only then will it be proven who is truly faithful.... but the blind believer will fail. He lacks the strength which only love can bring him.... He lacks inner conviction and will therefore unhesitatingly surrender faith because he did not possess it in reality....
