"Muchos son los llamados, pero pocos los escogidos"

Son muchos los llamados, mas pocos los escogidos. A todos vosotros se os ha puesto por deber, en formaros en un recipiente de Mi Espíritu, y todos vosotros lo podéis también, si vuestra voluntad lo ambiciona. Mas se debe a vosotros mismos, que no todos alcancéis la meta, es decir en vuestra voluntad está, la que es libre y no está determinada o fijada por Mí, de que hagáis el bien. Sólo pocos toman en serio su tarca terrenal formando su corazón según Mi Voluntad, y por eso pueden también dejar en sí a que sea activo Mi Espíritu. Y estos son los que son escogidos entre los muchos llamados.

El ser por Mí escogido, significa sólo, tener que cumplir una misión que precisamente sólo puede ejecutar un hombre que permite el obrar de Mi Espíritu en él. Un hombre que Me represente a Mí y Mi Doctrina ante el mundo, que anuncie Mi Palabra, la enseñanza divina, la que manifiesta al hombre Mi Voluntad.

Ningún hombre en la tierra puede desempeñar una misión así, si él no pertenece a Mis escogidos, pues el anunciar el Evangelio tiene como condición previa un saber que corresponda a la Verdad.

Ese saber o conocimiento no puede ser adquirido por medio del estudio, pues el conocer mental no basta para la divulgación de Mi Evangelio, sino que el Espíritu de Mi tiene que hacer primeramente vivo ese saber mental, de lo contrario será siempre sólo un saber mundano puramente, aunque contenga lo espiritual. Por lo tanto cada anunciador de Mi Palabra tiene que haber sido escogido por Mí para su función, y eso tiene que ponerlo él bajo prueba. Tiene que poder mostrar un Don del Espíritu, tiene que ser evidente en él el obrar de Mí Espíritu. Eso significa tanto, como de que él dispone de habilidades las que él no se ha apropiado, sino que le fueron otorgadas por Mí como prueba del obrar Mi Espíritu en él.

Una capacidad semejante es también la interpretación de la Palabra que Me evidencia a Mí, la interpretación de la Escritura que trata de Mi Palabra y vale como Mi Palabra. Un estudio, por largo que sea, no capacita al hombre a que conciba y explique el sentido espiritual de Mi Palabra Pues el saber intelectual no puede reemplazar lo que Mi Espíritu hace manifesto al hombre.

Por otra parte, Mi Espíritu no puede obrar, donde las condiciones previas para ello no son dadas. Donde Mi Espíritu actúa, allí no es necesario el saber intelectual, allí instruyo Yo Mismo a los hombres y pongo en él la Verdad espiritual, maximamente comprensible en el corazón, de tal modo que él está lleno del saber y del conocimiento.

Y es por eso un esfuerzo en vano, el querer sacar de la Escritura sabiduría, en tanto que Mi Espíritu no pueda actuar. Por lo que es también explicable, cual es el motivo de que sea frecuentemente tan errónea la interpretación de Mi Palabra, y de por qué sólo se interpreta el sentido de la letra, mas no el sentido espiritual, el que Yo he puesto en todas Mis Palabras que dije en la tierra. Pues el sentido literal lo interpreta el juicio del intelecto humano, el sentido espiritual el espíritu de Mí, si puede obrar en el hombre. Y el trabajo de la mente que para ello es preciso, mientras que el espíritu que procede de Mí, explica clara e inteligiblemente Mi Palabra, sin que el entendimiento necesite entrar en actividad. Y sin embargo da al hombre esa explicación de un modo tan natural, como si fuera el resultado de su entendimiento mental, pero la profundidad de esa su sabiduría que él expresa, da prueba del obrar del espíritu en todas las interpretaciones comprensibles, pero sólo a aquellos que son de buena voluntad y quíeren ser verdaderamente enseñados, mientras que una interpretación intelectual no es una explicación satisfactoria para sus semejantes y no puede convencer. Únicamente el Espíritu da luminosidad, el Espíritu proporciona la Verdad, mientras que el intelecto sólo habla otra vez al intelecto y no encuentra ninguna resonancia en el corazón.

Mas Mi Espíritu siempre podrá ser activo y eficaz donde hay amor; un amor, que siempre esté dispuesto a dar, que quiere ayudar y salvar, un amor, que no conoce otro anhelo más que el de mitigar la necesidad, ya sea espritual o terrena. Donde es evidente el amor entregado y por completo desinteresado, allí se encuentra la Verdad siempre, porque Yo estoy donde está y hay amor, porque cada obra de caridad me atrae a Mí Mismo y al hombre que está intimamente a Mí unido que vive en el amor. Y donde Yo estoy allí actúa Mí Espíritu, donde Yo estoy, está la Verdad, donde Yo estoy, allí Me expreso a través del espíritu, y eso significa también Luz, conocimiento, significa poseer un saber que corresponde a la Verdad.

"Many are called, but few are chosen...."

Many are called, but few are chosen. You have all been given the task of forming yourselves into a vessel of My spirit, and you would all be able to do so if your will strove for it. But the fact that you do not all reach the aim is due to yourselves, precisely due to your will, which is free and not directed or determined by Me to do what is right. Only a few take their earthly task seriously, they shape their heart according to My will and therefore can also let My spirit become effective in them. And thus these are the ones who are chosen among the many called ones.... But to have been chosen by Me means to have to fulfil a task which can only be carried out by a person who allows My working of the spirit. He shall represent Me and My name before the world, he shall proclaim My word, the divine teaching of love, which reveals My will to people. No person can administer such an office on earth who does not belong to My chosen ones, for the proclamation of the gospel requires knowledge which corresponds to the truth. Such knowledge cannot be gained through study, for mental knowledge is not sufficient for the spreading of My gospel, instead, the spirit from Me must first bring mental knowledge to life, otherwise it will only remain pure worldly knowledge, even though it has spiritual content. Therefore, every preacher of My word must also have been chosen by Me for his ministry, and he must prove this.... He must be able to demonstrate a gift of the spirit, the working of My spirit in him must be obvious. This means that he has abilities which he did not acquire but which were given to him by Me as evidence of My working of the spirit in him. One such ability is also the interpretation of the word which testifies of Me.... the interpretation of the scriptures which are regarded as My word.... No matter how long a study makes the human being capable of grasping and explaining the spiritual meaning of My word. For intellectual knowledge cannot replace what My spirit announces to the human being. My spirit, however, cannot work where the prerequisites for it are not given. But where My spirit is active, intellectual knowledge is not necessary, there I Myself instruct the human being and place the spiritual truth into his heart in a highly comprehensible way so that he is full of knowledge and realization....

(17.2.1953) And therefore it is also a futile effort to want to draw wisdom from the scriptures as long as My spirit cannot work. And thus it can also be explained why the interpretation of My word is so often wrong, why only the literal meaning is interpreted but not the spiritual meaning, which I placed in all My words I spoke on earth. For the human being's intellect interprets the literal sense, the spiritual sense is interpreted by the spirit from Me, if it can work in the human being. And what intellectual work is required for this.... while the spirit from Me clearly and understandably explains My word without the intellect having to become active. And yet, the human being naturally reproduces this explanation as if it were his intellectual result, yet the profound wisdom of what he says, the interpretations which are understandable to all, testify to the working of the spirit, yet again only to those who are of good will and want to be taught correctly.... whereas an intellectual interpretation is not a satisfactory explanation to fellow human beings and cannot convince them. The spirit alone gives brightness, the spirit conveys truth, and the spirit alone appeals to the heart, whereas the intellect again only appeals to the intellect and finds no echo in the heart.

But My spirit will always be able to be effective where love is.... a love which is always willing to give, which wants to help and redeem, a love which knows no other desire than to alleviate hardship, be it spiritual or earthly. Where the giving, completely selfless love is evident, truth can also always be found there, because I am where love is, because every work of love attracts Me Myself and the person who lives in love is intimately united with Me.... And where I am My spirit is active, where I am is truth, where I am I express Myself through the spirit, and that also means light, knowledge.... it means possessing knowledge which corresponds to the truth....
