Actividad mental razonablemente utilizada....

Usar el don del razonamiento adecuadamente es absolutamente necesario para el desarrollo superior del alma; pues para este propósito se le dio al hombre la mente de que pueda averiguar mentalmente todo lo que está sucediendo a su alrededor y, por lo tanto, saca conclusiones y que ahora le hacen buscar conscientemente lo eterno divino. El libre albedrio debe actuar en él a través de la mente, porque el hombre solo querrá algo cuando su mente le ha presentado los beneficios de esta voluntad, por lo que siempre la voluntad será el resultado del pensar.... Y para usar la mente adecuadamente, es decir, querer lo bueno, aborrecer el mal, inevitablemente también debe ser promovido el desarrollo del alma

No se puede hablar de un uso correcto de la mente, si esto, lleva al hombre a hacer el mal, entonces los dones de la mente son mal utilizados. Con un pensamiento intelectual serio, el hombre puede reconocer fácilmente que un poder creativo sabio está obrando, Que dio origen a todo lo que lo rodea, y que este poder creativo también sigue manteniendo todo lo creado.

Y si una vez que el hombre ha llegado tan lejos, entonces la mente también puede determinar la voluntad de conectarse con esta fuerza creativa, porque debe considerarse a sí mismo como un ser de pensamiento independiente, es decir, Su criatura, y en consecuencia reconocer al Creador como un ser igualmente pensante en la más alta perfección, y esta consciencia es suficiente, para ahora poder establecer una conexión con el Creador.

Es este un resultado mental que cada hombre puede lograr si usa su mente para acercarse a la verdad. Que luego su actividad de pensamiento será dirigida adecuadamente es el trabajo de este Creador, tan pronto como el hombre haya establecido una conexión consciente con Él. Pero la mente ha sido agregada al hombre para estar activo por uno mismo hasta el momento de la conexión, se la ha añadido al libre albedrio, para que este pueda tomar la dirección correcta, la que lleva a la meta, la conexión con Dios. La única condición es que la persona quiere lo bueno desde adentro, entonces su actividad mental inevitablemente la llevará a la meta.

Entonces la mente debe ser utilizada para que la voluntad actúe para establecer la conexión consciente con Dios, pero antes de esto, esta voluntad tenía que haber decido para Dios, de lo contrario la actividad mental no se usa correctamente al abstenerse de pensar seriamente y solo considerando razonablemente las ventajas y desventajas de lo que lo rodea y lo que sucede. Entonces él no evalúa el don de pensar y, correspondiendo a esto es el resultado ....

Nunca alcanzará su objetivo, pero duda o erra constantemente, porque según la voluntad es influenciado por fuerzas buenas o malas.

La mente, cuando se usa en serio, incluso puede cambiar una mala voluntad, y es esto también su trabajo. Es por eso que el hombre tiene que responsabilizarse si hace mal uso del don de la mente, si no la usa para el propósito real.... Para acercarse a la verdad de que Dios no oculta a aquel que se esfuerza seriamente por ella a través de una actividad pensativa muy activa. Con la voluntad correcta tendrá el mayor éxito y con un pensamiento serio también determinará su voluntad de luchar por el mismo objetivo....

Correctly used mental activity.... Will....

Making correct use of the gift of intelligence is absolutely essential for the soul's higher development, since the human being was given intellect so that he can mentally process everything that exists and happens around him and thereby reach conclusions which consciously make him seek the eternally Divine. By using the intellect, free will becomes active in him, for a person will only want something if his intellect has portrayed the benefit of this volition to him, thus the will is always the result of thinking.... And the correct use of intellect, i.e., to want what is good and to detest evil, must inevitably advance the soul's maturity. One cannot speak of correct use of intellect if the latter impels someone to behave badly; in that case the gifts of intellect are being misused. With serious and sensible deliberation, a person can easily recognise the activity of a wise creative Power which brought everything surrounding him into existence and that this creative Power continues to care for its creations. Once a person has come this far then the intellect will be able to persuade the will into making contact with this creative Power, for he has to regard himself as an independently thinking being, thus as His living creation, subsequently he also has to acknowledge the Creator as an equally thinking Being of supreme perfection, and this awareness is enough to establish a connection with the Creator.

Every human being can arrive at this conclusion if he uses his intellect in order to come closer to the truth. The fact that his mental activity will be correctly guided afterwards is this Creator's working as soon as the person has consciously established a connection with Him. However, the human being was given intellect in order to use it until the moment of contact, thus it was added to free will in order to enable the latter's move in the right direction which leads to the goal, to contact with God. The only condition is that a person must want what is good of his own volition, then his reasoning will invariably lead him to the goal. Thus the intellect has to be used for activating the will to consciously establish a connection with God, yet prior to that this will must have made a decision in favour of God, otherwise the mental activity will have been used incorrectly by refraining from all serious deliberation and merely assessing the advantages and disadvantages of his surroundings and what takes place therein. In that case, he will not be making full use of the gift of reasoning and the result will be accordingly.... he will never reach the goal, instead he will always doubt or be mistaken, for he is influenced by good or evil forces according to his will. With earnest use, the mind can even change an ill-will, and this is indeed its task. For this reason the human being has to justify himself if he misuses the gift of intelligence, if he fails to use it for its actual purpose.... to come closer to the truth, which God does not withhold from anyone who seriously strives for it through earnest mental activity. With the right determination he will be extremely successful and after serious deliberation, he will also influence his determination to aim towards the same goal....
