Cumplimientos de los mandamientos divinos... Tentaciones del mundo...

Es mucho más fácil someterse a los deseos del mundo que cumplir los mandamientos divinos, porque lo que el mundo exige de los hombres es también el deseo de los hombres mismos, es decir, apela al cuerpo humano y ahora este también se esfuerza por ello. Los mandamientos divinos, sin embargo, exigen la renuncia a lo que el cuerpo desea a favor del prójimo que ahora está en necesidad. Entonces el deseo del cuerpo tiene que ser dejado de lado, tiene que renunciar por el bien del alma, entonces el ser humano vive su vida en la tierra de acuerdo con la voluntad divina, lo que le otorga el éxito espiritual.

Cumplir los mandamientos divinos es, por tanto, superarse a sí mismo, superar todos los deseos del cuerpo y un sacrificio constante de lo que es querido y valioso para uno mismo... No es fácil, es decir, requiere una constante impartición de fuerza, porque el ser humano tiene que resistir las tentaciones para probar su libre albedrio, porque los deseos del cuerpo siguen amenazando con volverlo voluble y constantemente necesita fuerza para resistirlo. Pero el progreso espiritual no se puede lograr sin lucha interior, y sin tentación no hay mérito en mantenerse firme.

Y así el mundo siempre querrá empujarse hacia delante, pero los mandamientos divinos siempre exigirán una voluntad de hacer sacrificios, mientras que el mundo trata de buscar que el disfrute de las alegrías terrenales sea parte de la vida humana, y se requiere una fuerte voluntad, una fe profunda y un esfuerzo consciente hacia Dios para entregar el mundo y encontrar su completa satisfacción en el cumplimiento de los mandamientos divinos. La fuerza de Dios tiene que capacitar al hombre para hacer esto último, tiene que penetrarlo y dejarle sentir el amor de Dios, entonces su obra de amor también se aumentará, la hará feliz al hombre mismo, ya no lo sentirá como un sacrificio, sino el amor al prójimo desinteresado le hará feliz y ya no extrañará al mundo sino que lo entregará voluntariamente por lo que cambiará por ello... por el amor de Dios, que ahora fluye hacia el en forma de fuerza que es muchas veces más valiosa que todas las alegrías terrenales.

Entonces el cuerpo tampoco añorará más al mundo, sino que tomará parte en el trabajo del alma y encontrará su satisfacción en ello, porque un alma amorosa ha vencido su cuerpo, es dominada por el espíritu dentro de sí misma, y el cuerpo también se somete a sus deseos, se espiritualiza como el alma en cuanto el amor de Dios puede hacerse efectivo en ella por el amor desinteresado al prójimo...

Fulfilling the divine commandments.... temptations of the world....

It is much easier to submit to the desires of the world than to fulfill the divine commandments, because what the world demands of people is also the desire of man himself, i.e. it appeals to the body of man and is now also sought by him. The divine commandments, however, demand renunciation of what the body desires in favor of the neighbor who is now in need. Thus the body's desire has to be put aside, it has to renounce for the sake of the soul, then the human being lives his life on earth in accordance with divine will, which brings him spiritual success. The fulfillment of the divine commandments is therefore an overcoming of oneself, an overcoming of all bodily desires and a constant sacrifice of what is dear and valuable to oneself.... It is not easy, i.e., it requires a constant supply of strength, because man must resist temptations in order to test his free will, because the body's desires threaten to make him fickle again and again and he constantly needs strength to resist them. But without inner struggle no spiritual progress can be achieved, and without temptation there is no merit in remaining steadfast. And so the world will always want to push itself forward, the divine commandments will always demand a willingness to sacrifice, while the world tries to make the enjoyment of earthly pleasures the human being's purpose in life, and it takes a strong will, a deep faith and a conscious striving towards God to surrender the world and to find complete satisfaction in the fulfillment of the divine commandments. The strength from God must enable the human being to do the latter, it must permeate him and make him feel God's love, then his activity of love will also increase, it will make the human being himself happy, he will no longer feel it as a sacrifice but unselfish neighbourly love will make him happy, and he will no longer miss the world but willingly give it up for what he exchanges for it.... for the love of God, which now flows to him in the form of strength and which surpasses all earthly pleasures many times over in value. Then the body will no longer desire the world either, but it will participate in the soul's work and find satisfaction in it, for a loving soul has conquered its body, it is dominated by the spirit within itself, and the body also submits to its desire, it spiritualizes itself like the soul, as soon as God's love can become effective in it through unselfish neighbourly love....
