“Bienaventurados los pobres de espíritu”....
Qué pequeño es el hombre, qué sabio y poderoso se cree.... Cree que puede rechazar el don divino, y quiere poner sobre ello su propia sabiduría. Y no considera que su pensamiento intelectual sea también un don de Dios, del que hace mal uso si no lo utiliza de tal amera que aprenda a reconocer a Dios. Dios es el origen.... pero él se valora a sí mismo demasiado alto, no quiere aceptar nada por encima de sí mismo, de lo contrario tendría que valorar su sabiduría menos, que él lo hace. Pero sonríe sublimemente cuando se le ofrecen conocimientos que superan con creces sus conocimientos.... sonríe porque cree conocerse a sí mismo y, por tanto, también se cree capaz de emitir un juicio. Y es por eso que no puede aumentar su conocimiento, porque no lo desea....
Y Dios, por tanto, distribuye sabiduría a aquellos que se sienten humildes e ignorantes, que quieren aumentar sus conocimientos y que reconocen un Ser superior por encima de ellos, Que lo sabe todo, incluso la pobreza espiritual de Sus criaturas, que Él puede remediar.... Y bienaventurados aquellos, que se sienten pobres de espíritu, que no poseen ningún conocimiento del mundo que los haga arrogantes de espíritu.... Bienaventurados los que tienen hambre de sabiduría de lo alto, los que quieren beber de la fuente que Dios Mismo ha abierto.... está fuente está accesible a todos los humanos, pero la humanidad la ignora....
Pero el agua viva que mana de este manantial es lo más delicioso que el hombre tiene a su disposición.... Le proporciona un tesoro que supera con creces todos los bienes terrenales. Porque la sabiduría de Dios es un don de gracia que el hombre nunca quiere perder una vez que lo ha recibido.... La sabiduría divina tiene valor eterno, la sabiduría de Dios hace a los humanos indescriptiblemente felices, y la sabiduría de Dios da fuerza para esforzarse hacia la altura....
El conocimiento mundial, por otro lado, desvanece y no tiene valor, es decir, sólo tiene valor durante el camino terrenal y sólo trae ventajas terrenales. Pero el conocimiento espiritual tiene poco éxito en la vida terrenal y, sin embargo, la gente ya no lo regala una vez que lo ha encontrado. Y quienes lo rechazan demuestran su actitud mundana y su poco deseo por la verdad, de lo contrario tendrían que reconocerlo como un don precioso y también se esforzarían para conseguirlo....

But the living water that flows from this spring is the most delicious thing available to man.... It provides him with a treasure that far surpasses all earthly goods. For wisdom from God is a gift of grace that a person will never want to do without once he has received it.... Wisdom from God has eternal value, wisdom from God makes man indescribably happy, and wisdom from God gives strength to strive for the heights.... Worldly knowledge, on the other hand, fades and is worthless, i.e. it is only useful for the time of the earthly change and also only brings earthly advantage. spiritual knowledge, however, is of little use for earthly life and yet the human being will not give it up once he has found it. And those who reject it thereby testify to their merely worldly attitude and their little desire for truth, otherwise they would have to recognize it as a precious gift and would also strive for it....
