Valor del conocimiento espiritual y terrenal en el más allá....

Todo espiritual tiene valor de eternidad y duración de eternidad.... todo lo terrenal pasa con la muerte física del ser humano. Las alegrías y las penas pasan y, por lo tanto, no es necesario tomarlas en serio. Sin embargo, lo que ha logrado o se ha perdido espiritualmente es decisivo para la permanencia en la eternidad y, por lo tanto, significativo para el alma humana.

El esfuerzo espiritual siempre se referirá a la vida interior del ser humano y a todo lo que está separado de la materia terrestre.... que por lo tanto no está relacionado con una vida placentera en la tierra ni con ningún deseo físico, sino que apaga el cuerpo por completo y solo se dedica a preguntas espirituales y toca experiencias espirituales. El esfuerzo espiritual es todo lo que se relaciona con Dios, es decir, lo que se refiere a la vida que no termina con la muerte del cuerpo.

Porque solo lo que pertenece a la tierra es transitorio, así también el bien intelectual del hombre, que sólo incluye las cosas terrenales. Lo que el hombre ha adquirido en conocimiento que fue de valor para la existencia terrenal, para el hombre como tal, es completamente inútil desde el momento de su entrada en el más allá. Pertenece a otro mundo, por lo que es inútil para el nuevo mundo.

Y cuando la persona ahora piensa en los bienes espirituales que le quedan, podrá comprender por qué deber luchar por los bienes espirituales en la tierra.... acumular tesoros espirituales. Porque se encuentra en la más grande pobreza si no hubiera adquirido también bienes espirituales en la tierra. y sobre todo la persona que posee conocimiento terrenal no se molestará mucho con cuestiones espirituales y, por lo tanto, también pasará al más allá correspondientemente pobre en tesoros espirituales.

Y entonces es indeciblemente amargo para tal alma tener que reconocer su carencia.... mientras que, por lo contrario, algunas almas disponen de una gran riqueza espiritual que no tenían ningún conocimiento digno de mencionar en la tierra porque solo enfocaban su atención en la maduración del alma, porque las cuestiones terrenales no le afectaban tanto y su deseo no era por los bienes terrenales y el conocimiento terrenal. Esta alma también guarda el éxito de la vida terrenal en el más allá, no necesita regalar nada porque lo que ha recogido es bien espiritual y porque este bien es imperecedero y ya no se le puede quitar en la eternidad.

Mientras que el conocimiento terrenal no sirve para nada en el más allá, el alma que posee bienes espirituales puede obrar con ello de una manera indescriptiblemente beneficiosa.... puede dárselo a las almas ignorantes y encuentra su mejor recompensa en poder ayudar a aquellas que entran en el reine del más allá en la mayor pobreza, mientras que las personas que se esforzaron por el conocimiento terrenal también encontraron su recompensa en la tierra, el honor, el respeto y la riqueza terrenal.... todo lo cual tiene su fin con la muerte corporal. Porque nada de esto lo pueden llevar a la eternidad.

Pero qué breve es el disfrute de los placeres terrenales.... y qué infinitamente larga es la vida después de la muerte.... Para qué felicidad aparente usaba la gente su pensamiento y qué dicha incomprensible han desperdiciado, la cual podía haberse logrado fácilmente a través del esfuerzo espiritual. Y si el hombre se preocupara primero por lo que tiene relación con Dios, entonces su conocimiento terrenal le sería impartido sin esfuerzo al mismo tiempo así como se esfuerza por ello por amor a la humanidad, es decir, quiere servir a sus semejantes a través del conocimiento terrenal. Solo este conocimiento terrenal tiene valor y al mismo tiempo le trae riqueza espiritual. Porque entonces su voluntad de servir a sus semejantes será valorado cuando el conocimiento terrenal se haya vuelto obsoleto....

Pero la necesidad espiritual de aquellos que solo adquirieron su conocimiento terrenal por el bien de su éxito terrenal será indescriptible en la eternidad porque se encuentran desnudos en un ambiente donde lo que poseen no tiene ningún valor. Y pasa mucho tiempo hasta de que se decidan a aceptar lo que les falta de las almas amorosas.... hasta que se decidan a hacer lo que debían hacer en la tierra.... a recoger bienes espirituales para poder traspasarlos con amor a aquellos, quienes como ellos ha dejado de hacer esto en la tierra....

Value of spiritual and earthly knowledge in the hereafter....

Everything spiritual has eternal value and eternal duration.... everything earthly passes away with the death of the human body. Joys and sufferings pass away and therefore need not be taken seriously. However, what has been spiritually achieved or missed is decisive for the stay in eternity and therefore significant for the soul of man. Spiritual endeavour will now always relate to the human being's inner life and to everything that is separate from earthly matter.... which therefore has nothing to do with a pleasurable earthly life or any physical desires but completely eliminates the body and only touches (concerns) spiritual questions and spiritual experiences. Spiritual endeavour is everything that is connected with God, i.e. that concerns life that does not end with the death of the body....

For only that which belongs to earth is transient, thus also man's thought material, which only comprises earthly things. Whatever knowledge the human being has absorbed that was of value for earthly existence, for the human being as such, is completely worthless from the moment he enters the beyond. It belongs to another world, it is therefore useless for the new world. And if the human being now considers what spiritual possessions will then remain to him, he will be able to understand why he should strive for spiritual good on earth.... spiritual treasures on earth. For he is in the greatest poverty if he has not likewise received spiritual possessions on earth. And in most cases it is precisely the person possessing earthly knowledge who will concern himself little with spiritual questions and thus also pass over into the beyond correspondingly poor in spiritual treasures. And it is then unspeakably bitter for such a soul to have to recognize its lack.... whereas, conversely, some souls possess spiritual wealth which had no knowledge worth mentioning on earth because they only focused their attention on the soul's maturing, because earthly questions did not affect them that much and their desire was not for earthly possessions and earthly knowledge. This soul also retains the success of earthly life in the beyond, it does not need to give anything away because it is spiritual good that it has gathered and because this good is imperishable and cannot be taken from it in eternity. While earthly knowledge is no longer of use to anyone in the beyond, the soul who possesses spiritual possessions can be indescribably blessed with it.... it can give it to ignorant souls and itself finds its most beautiful reward in being able to help those who enter the kingdom of the beyond in utmost poverty, whereas the people who strived for earthly knowledge also found their reward on earth, honour, reputation and earthly wealth.... which all comes to an end with bodily death. For they can carry none of this over into eternity. But how short is the enjoyment of earthly pleasures.... and how endlessly long is life after death.... For what illusory happiness have men used their mental activity and what inconceivable bliss have they forfeited, which could easily be attained through spiritual endeavour. And if man would first concern himself with that which has a connection with God, then his earthly knowledge would be imparted to him effortlessly at the same time, as soon as he strives for it out of love for humanity, i.e. he would like to serve his fellow human being through earthly knowledge. This earthly knowledge alone has value and at the same time brings him spiritual wealth. For his will to serve his fellow human beings will be valued when the earthly knowledge has become obsolete.... Yet the spiritual hardship of those who only absorbed earthly knowledge for the sake of their earthly success will be indescribable in eternity, for they will stand naked and bare in an environment where what they possess is of no value whatsoever. And it takes a long time until they decide to receive what they lack from loving souls.... until they decide to do what they should do on earth.... to collect spiritual goods in order to be able to pass them on in love to those who, like them, have failed to do so on earth....
