Importance of being responsible....

Every human being is solely responsible for his soul. And therefore it is of utmost importance for him to know what he has to do in earthly life in order to save the soul from falling into the abyss, from eternal darkness and torment, in order to prepare a blissful fate for it, an eternal life.... He has nothing more to do than to free his soul from dense shells which surround it, to create the possibility for it again to let itself be radiated through by the divine light of love, as once before the being fell.... The human being must be aware that earthly life was given to him for this purpose, and thus he must also use this life for this purpose. And every day, every hour gives him the opportunity to do so, for he need only constantly practice unselfish love.... He has to try to free himself from selfish love, which let those dense shells grow around the soul. Whatever the human being undertakes on earth is completely worthless for eternity, for the transformation of his being, for the maturing of the soul, if unselfish love is not the motive of his activity. And everything that arises from the motive of self-love is only of use for the time of earthly life but not of lasting value for eternity. The human being should always observe which feelings dominate his thoughts and actions. And he will be able to ascertain that self-love still emerges powerfully and unselfish neighbourly love is rarely only the driving force in his actions. But with good will he can change himself and his feelings, he can consciously work on himself by forcing himself to put aside himself and his desires in order to help those who are in need instead.... And he will always see hardship around him, he will always have the opportunity to be of service, and it will also always give him more pleasure the more consciously he works on himself.... yet not for the sake of a reward but out of his own conviction to be inadequately shaped and to use earthly life in order to become perfect. He must strive upwards, then strength will also be supplied to him from above.... He must want that his earthly life is not lived in vain at the end of his days, and then he will certainly also reach the aim. As soon as the human being has succeeded in putting his ego aside for the sake of his fellow human being he has already become a victor, and the soul's shells dissolve and can let in the divine ray of love, and then he no longer needs to fear having travelled the earthly path in vain.... But he must also do this very work on himself and know that he himself bears the responsibility. But the knowledge comes to him through the word of God.... If he allows himself to be touched by God's word, if he thinks about it and tries to follow it, then the work on himself already begins.... But anyone who does not listen to the word of God, who only lets it ring in his ears, who does not feel addressed by it, walks through life irresponsibly, even if he acts responsibly in earthly matters.... For he is only driven to this action by his self-love, which seeks earthly success, honour and fame but does not result in any spiritual transformation.... And such people will also hardly believe in the soul's continued existence after death and its torments in the kingdom of the beyond. For self-love makes it impossible for him to believe.... And therefore love for God and one's neighbour cannot be preached diligently enough, because only through such can the human being attain faith and the light of realization. Yet the human being cannot be forced into love either, it has to develop in him freely, but every human being is capable of it, because every human being has been given a spark of love for this course of his earthly life, thus only every human being needs to ignite it.... for which only his will is necessary. And the will is free but can be stimulated by the consciousness of responsibility. And the awareness of responsibility can also be awakened in every human being as soon as he seriously reflects on himself, on the creative power which brought him into being and on the purpose of his existence.... For anyone who seriously reflects on these questions will also receive a mental answer, and this answer will prompt him to live a conscious life with the purpose of the past perfection. And furthermore, every person will also receive enlightenments from outside which he can accept or reject.... But his own attitude is required, because only he himself can accomplish the work of changing his nature. But since every human being knows the damaging effects of an earthly, irresponsible life, he also knows the importance of a sense of responsibility.... And he can also value this for his soul.... and the transience of all earthly things should strengthen the awareness of responsibility for the eternal and imperishable even more.... Without love, however, man remains blind in his spirit and completely inactive. For the human being's work on his soul consists precisely of works of unselfish love, and as long as the human being's will is not willing to do so, the purpose of earthly life will not be fulfilled either, and the soul is and remains in greatest adversity, and the danger of sinking into the abyss again is great if it enters the kingdom of the beyond in this dark state.... unless the completely unselfish love of a human being on earth follows it into that kingdom and helps it to achieve a little light there.... But she will never be able to catch up or achieve what she was able to achieve on earth....

Importance du sentiment de responsabilité

Chaque homme porte tout seul la responsabilité pour son âme. Donc pour lui il est de la plus grande importance de savoir ce qu'il doit faire dans la vie terrestre, pour sauver son âme de la chute dans l'abîme, de l'éternelle obscurité et du tourment, pour lui préparer un sort bienheureux, une Vie éternelle. Il ne doit pas faire autre chose que de libérer son âme des épaisses enveloppes qui l'entourent, de lui créer de nouveau la possibilité de se laisser rayonner par la divine Lumière d'Amour, comme autrefois avant que l'être soit tombé. L'homme doit se rendre compte que pour ce but il lui a été donné la vie terrestre et donc il doit l’exploiter pour ce but. Et chaque jour, chaque heure lui en donne la possibilité, parce qu'il doit seulement s'exercer continuellement dans l'amour désintéressé. Il doit chercher à se libérer de l'amour propre qui est ce qui a fait se lever ces épaisses enveloppes autour de l'âme. Tout ce que l'homme entreprend sur la Terre, est totalement inutile pour l'Éternité, pour la transformation de son être, pour le mûrissement de l'âme, si l'amour désintéressé n'est pas le motif de son entreprise. Ce qui se lève au motif de l'amour propre est utile seulement pour le temps de la vie terrestre, mais n’a pas de subsistance pour l'Éternité. L'homme lui-même doit toujours observer quels sentiments le dominent dans ses pensées et ses actes et il pourra constater que l'amour propre se porte encore puissamment en avant et l'amour désintéressé pour le prochain est seulement rarement la force de poussée de son action. Mais avec de la bonne volonté il peut se changer lui-même ainsi que ses sentiments, il peut travailler consciemment sur lui en s’efforçant de faire reculer lui-même ainsi que ses désirs, et aider par contre ceux qui sont dans la misère. Il verra toujours de la misère autour de lui, il aura toujours la possibilité de servir, et cela lui causera toujours une plus grande joie, plus consciemment il travaille sur lui, mais pas pour un salaire, mais du fait de sa propre conviction d'être formé imparfaitement et d'utiliser la vie terrestre pour devenir parfait. Il doit tendre vers le Haut, alors il lui est guidé la Force d'en haut. Il doit vouloir que sa vie terrestre n'ait pas été vécue en vain à la fin de ses jours, alors il sera aussi sûr d’atteindre le but. Dès que l'homme aura réussi à faire passer son moi après celui du prochain, il est déjà devenu victorieux, et les enveloppes de l'âme se dissoudront et laisseront entrer le Rayon de Lumière de l'Amour divin, il ne doit alors plus craindre d'avoir parcouru en vain la voie terrestre. Mais ce travail sur lui-même doit vraiment se dérouler et il doit savoir que lui-même en porte la responsabilité. Or le savoir lui arrive par la Parole de Dieu. S’il se laisse toucher par la Parole de Dieu, s'il réfléchit sur celle-ci et cherche à l'exécuter, alors le travail sur lui-même commence déjà. Mais celui qui n'écoute pas la Parole de Dieu qui la laisse passer outre son oreille, qui ne se ne sent pas interpelé, celui-ci passe comme un irresponsable à travers la vie, même lorsqu’il agit de façon responsable sur les choses terrestres; parce qu'à cette activité il y est poussé seulement par son amour propre qui cherche le succès, l’honneur et la renommée terrestres, mais ne provoque aucune transformation animique. Et de tels hommes croient à peine dans la continuité de la vie de l'âme après la mort et à son tourment dans le Règne de l'au-delà. Parce que l'amour propre le met dans l'impossibilité de croire. Donc il ne peut pas être prêché avec assez de ferveur l'amour pour Dieu et pour le prochain, parce que seulement avec cela l'homme arrive à la foi et à la Lumière de la connaissance. Mais l'homme ne peut pas être forcé à l'amour, il doit se développer librement en lui, et chaque homme en est capable, parce que chacun a reçu une étincelle d'amour pour son parcours de vie terrestre, donc chaque homme doit seulement l'allumer, et pour cela seulement sa volonté est nécessaire. La volonté est libre, mais elle peut être stimulée à travers la conscience de la responsabilité. Et celle-ci peut même être à nouveau réveillée dans chaque homme, dès qu'il réfléchit seulement sérieusement sur lui-même, sur le Pouvoir du Créateur Qui l'a fait se lever, et sur le but de son existence ; parce que celui qui réfléchit sérieusement sur ces questions, recevra mentalement la Réponse, et celle-ci le poussera à mener une vie consciente avec pour but son perfectionnement. En outre à chaque homme ils arrivent aussi des explications de l'extérieur qu’il peut accepter ou refuser. Mais à celui-ci il est demandé sa propre prédisposition, parce que seulement lui-même peut dérouler l'œuvre du changement de l'être. Mais vu que chaque homme sait quel effet nuisible a une vie terrestre irresponsable, il connaît aussi la signification de la conscience de la responsabilité et peut évaluer celle-ci pour son âme, ainsi que la caducité de tout le terrestre et il devrait fortifier encore bien davantage la conscience de la responsabilité sur l'impérissabilité éternelle. Mais sans amour l'homme reste aveugle dans son esprit et totalement inactif ; parce que c’est vraiment dans les œuvres d'amour désintéressé que consiste le travail de l'homme sur son âme, et tant que la volonté de l'homme n'y est pas disposée, le but de la vie terrestre n'est pas atteint et l'âme est et reste dans la plus grande misère, et le danger de se précipiter de nouveau dans l'abîme est très grand, s'il entre dans le Règne de l'au-delà dans cet état obscur, à moins qu'un amour totalement désintéressé d'un homme sur la Terre le suive dans ce Règne et l'aide là encore à une petite Lumière. Mais il ne pourra jamais être récupéré ou atteint ce qu’il était possible d’atteindre sur la Terre.
