'But seek ye first the kingdom of God....'

Only spiritual adversity need weigh you down, whereas earthly problems can leave you unconcerned, because they will be remedied as soon as you pay attention to your soul's adversity and are willing to help it. Yet precisely the people who experience immense earthly adversity are unaware of the fact that their spiritual adversity is the reason why they must suffer and live in want, for they do not know the correlations and My means of salvation, nor do they know the extent of their spiritual adversity, since they are focussed on worldly things and their lack of faith instantly rejects any thought which might cross their mind as an explanation of their difficult fate. Nevertheless, these people need to be instructed about the meaning and purpose of their earthly existence, are they to change their thinking. And in view of their earthly distress such instructions would indeed by appropriate; however, they are usually only successful when people see no other way out by earthly means anymore. Then they will become thoughtful and they can change their mind.... And I will manifestly support especially those people when they turn to Me in thought and appeal for My help. They will not take the earthly adversity over into the kingdom of the beyond; nevertheless, their spiritual adversity will follow them and will not let go of them either until they have turned their will and their thoughts towards Me which, however, is far more difficult than on earth. This is why I said the Words 'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you....' I can remove earthly adversity at any time; spiritual hardship, however, must be removed by yourselves.... I can certainly assist you with it, yet you must have the will and become active yourselves, you must take the path to Me, you must believe in Me and seek to fulfil My will, thus, you must live according to My commandments of love for God and your neighbour.... But in that case you will be able to confidently place all earthly adversity into My hands, for then you will have fulfilled the requirements, and My promise, that I will help you both in a physical and spiritual way, I will be able to take effect on you, because your soul will no longer be at risk of getting so engrossed in worry about its earthly needs that it cannot perform its actual task because it is too weak and makes no effort to gain strength. Time and again I have promised My help in earthly adversity, I Myself have asked you to come to Me if you are depressed and in need of help, I have given you the assurance that you will never ask anything of Me in vain.... Why don't you avail yourselves of My assurance, why don't you hand yourselves over to Me with complete faith, your Father of eternity? Because you do not believe in Me. And this is the immense spiritual adversity you find yourselves in, for without faith in Me you will not establish the connection with Me, and without this bond you are and will remain weak and will not be able to make any progress whatsoever in your development. As soon as you live your life on earth without Me.... precisely because you don't believe in Me.... you will remain on the same level or even descend further. But you ought to ascend if earthly life is to serve its purpose for you, you ought to get to the point that you can discard all material shackles and enter the spiritual kingdom as free and happy beings.... As long as you do not strive for this, as long as you merely regard your life on earth as an end in itself, you will suffer great spiritual adversity and will require a noticeable earthly burden which will lead you to a different way of thinking. And although it seems that your physical strength is not sufficient in order to master the earthly adversity, you can nevertheless ease your fate.... by merely taking the path to Me.... when you become conscious of your imperfect state and appeal to Me for help.... Then the earthly adversity will be removed from you at the same time or be arranged such that it will be endurable for you, for then I will have achieved what I wanted to achieve by means of the adversity: that you will get in touch with Me, your God and Father of eternity....

너희는 먼저 하나님 나라를 구하라. 고난의 원인.

단지 영적인 위험 만이 너희를 짓누를 수 있는 반면에 세상적인 위험은 너희를 짓누를 수 없다. 왜냐면 세상 위험은 너희가 혼의 위험에 주의를 기울이고 혼을 도우려는 의지가 있으면, 언제든지 해결되기 때문이다. 세상적으로 큰 곤경 가운데 있는 사람들이 세상적으로 고난을 당해야만 하고 가난해져야만 하면, 영적인 위험에 원인이 있다는 것을 의식하지 못한다. 왜냐면 그들은 연관 관계와 내 구원의 수단을 알지 못하기 때문이다. 그들은 자신이 얼마나 영적인 위험 가운데 있는지를 알지 못한다. 왜냐면 그들의 눈은 반지 세상을 향해 있기 때문이다. 그들의 믿음 없음이 그들의 어려운 운명에 대한 설명을 해주는 생각이 들어오면, 이런 모든 생각을 즉시 거부한다.

그들이 다른 생각에 도달하려면, 그들이 이 땅에 존재하는 의미와 목적을 가르침을 받아야만 하고 그의 세상적인 곤경 때문에 이런 가르침을 주기에 적절하다. 그러나 단지 사람들이 어떠한 세상적인 탈출구를 보지 못하게 될 때 대부분 성공할 수 있다. 그러면 그들은 생각하기 시작하고 그들의 생각이 바뀔 수 있다. 그들이 생각이 나에게 향하고 나에게 도움을 청하면, 나는 바로 이런 사람들을 분명하게 도울 것이다. 그들은 세상적의 곤경을 저세상의 나라로 가지고 가지 않는다. 그러나 그들의 영적인 위험은 그들을 뒤따르고 그들이 그들의 의지와 그들의 생각을 나에 향하게 하는 일은 이 땅에서 보다 훨씬 더 어려운 일이지만 그들의 의지와 그들의 생각을 나에 향하게 만들 때까지 그들은 영적인 위험으로부터 자유롭게 될 수 없다.

그러므로 나는 너희에게 말했다. "너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더할 것이다." 내가 세상적인 위험은 언제든지 해결할 수 있지만 그러나 영적인 위험은 너희 자신이 스스로 해결해야만 한다. 나는 진실로 너희에게 도움을 줄 수 있다. 그러나 너희 자신이 의지를 가지고 행동을 취해야만 하고 너희 스스로 나에게 향하는 길을 택해야만 하고 나를 믿고 내 뜻을 성취하려고 시도해야만 한다. 그러므로 내 계명인 하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하는 계명대로 살아야만 한다.

그러면 너희는 안심하고 모든 세상적인 위험을 내 손에 맡길 수 있다. 왜냐면 그러면 너희는 이제 조건을 성취시켰고 이로써 이제 내 약속이 너희에게 역사할 수 있기 때문이다. 나는 너희를 위해 영적으로 육신적으로 돌볼 수 있다. 왜냐면 세상적으로 필요한 것에 대한 염려 때문에 혼에게 생기는 위험이 이제 사라졌기 때문이고 혼이 너무 연약하고 스스로 강하게 되기 위해 애쓰지 않기 때문에 혼이 실제적인 자신의 과제를 수행할 수 없게 하는 혼의 위험이 이제 사라졌기 때문이다. 나는 항상 또 다시 세상의 위험 가운데 내 도움을 너희에게 약속했고 나는 나 자신이 너희가 짓눌리고 도움이 필요하면, 나에게 다가오도록 너희에게 요구했다. 나는 너희가 나에게 헛되게 구하게 되지 않을 것이라는 보장을 너희에게 해주었다.

너희는 왜 이런 내 약속을 활용하지 않느냐? 너희는 왜 전적으로 신뢰하며 너희 자신을 영원한 너희의 아버지인 나에게 맡기지 않느냐? 왜냐면 너희가 나를 믿지 않기 때문이다. 이것이 너희가 처한 가장 큰 영적인 위험이다. 왜냐면 나를 믿는 믿음이 없이는 너희는 나와 연결을 이루지 않기 때문이고 이런 연결이 없이는 너희는 힘이 없고 힘이 없이 머물고 너희는 너희의 상장에 한 걸음도 전진할 수 없기 때문이고 너희가 나를 믿지 않기 때문에 너희가 내가 없이 너희의 삶을 살면, 너희는 같은 단계에 머물거나 또는 다시 깊은 곳으로 빠지기 때문이다.

그러나 이 땅의 삶이 너희의 목적에 합당하게 되려면, 너희는 높은 곳으로 향해야 하고 너희는 너희의 모든 물질적인 사슬을 끊을 수 있고 자유롭고 복된 존재로써 영의 나라에 들어갈 수 있을 정도로 성장해야 한다. 너희가 이 일을 추구하지 않고 너희가 이 땅의 삶을 단지 삶 자체에 목적이 있는 것으로 보는 동안에는 너희는 큰 영적인 위험 속에 있다. 너희는 너희를 다른 생각으로 인도해야 할 느낄 수 있는 삶의 짐이 필요하다.

너희의 육체의 힘으로 세상적인 위험을 다스리기에 충분하지 않게 너희에게 보일지라도 그러나 만약에 너희가 단지 나에게 향하는 길을 택하고 너희가 너희의 부족한 상태를 의식하고 이제 스스로 나에게 도움을 청하면, 너희가 스스로 너희의 운명을 쉽게 만들 수 있다. 그러면 동시에 내가 너희의 세상적인 위험을 넘겨받을 것이다. 또는 너희가 이를 견딜 수 있게 할 것이다. 왜냐면 내가 위험을 통해 도달하기 원하는 목표에 도달하기 때문이다. 이 목표는 너희가 너희의 영원한 하나님 아버지인 나와 관계를 맺게 하는 일이다.
