Purification of the soul....

You all have to pass through a purification bath in order to become free from sin and its consequences. And no matter how your earthly course unfolds, it will always offer opportunities which are equal to a thorough purification, because they consist of suffering and hardship which are only beneficial for your soul. Yet the most effective means of purification and healing is love.... Anyone who practices this helps his soul to thoroughly purify itself, he also dissolves the hardest shells, for nothing can offer resistance to love, love dissolves and redeems, it sets the soul free and gives it the life that lasts forever.... You must all descend into this sanctifying bath, for even suffering and pain can remain ineffective if they are not accompanied by love. Because you humans take little care of love, because you let it grow cold and therefore also leave the soul in its unhappy state, because you don't help your soul in its adversity, which signifies a burden of sin for the soul, it must now be helped in a different way. It has to go through a course of suffering which certainly also has the consequence that it dissolves the hardest shells.... but the soul remains weakened until it receives strength through the working of love.... Thus it can enter the beyond in weakness and helplessness but it has achieved on earth that it no longer resists the efforts of beings willing to help.... that it is grateful for the help in its state of weakness and is now also willing to provide the same assistance to souls which are in need like it. This will to help already gives it strength, for love flares up in those souls which only then secures the soul's ascent. For this reason people should bless the suffering which affects them on earth if they lack loving activity, for the soul only gains through this, and it first has to have shed its burdensome dross before it is possible to give it so much light that it will then strive upwards itself. And therefore it is of little use to want to keep all suffering away from a person, (15.12.1956) and where the love of fellow human beings would like to help him, this love should be directed towards the person's spiritual recovery, towards his spiritual progress. He should be remembered with intercession so that suffering does not fail to have an influence and that he is thereby purified, although fellow human beings should also do everything in their power to avert earthly suffering from their neighbour. But often you humans are helplessly confronted by your fellow human being's adversity yourselves, and then you should know that suffering is permitted precisely for the sake of the soul's purification; you should know that one day the soul will also recognize the blessing of the suffering it was granted in earthly life as soon as it has only surrendered to its earthly fate, because now it can also assess the suffering of other unfortunate souls in the beyond and thereby its will to help has awakened, which now also guarantees its ascent....

La purificazione dell’anima

Voi tutti dovete attraversare un bagno di purificazione, per diventare liberi dal peccato e dalle sue conseguenze. E comunque si svolga il vostro corso terreno, offrirà sempre delle occasioni che sono pari ad una fondamentale purificazione perché consistono in sofferenze e miserie che sono soltanto salubri per la vostra anima. Ma il mezzo più efficace di purificazione e guarigione è l’amore. Chi l’esercita, aiuta la sua anima ad una fondamentale descoriazione, dissolve anche gli involucri più duri, perché nulla può resistere all’amore, l’amore dissolve e libera, rende libera l’anima e le dona la Vita che dura in eterno. E voi tutti dovete discendere in questo bagno di guarigione, perché anche delle sofferenze e dei dolori possono rimanere senza effetto, se non sono accompagnati dall’amore. Dato che voi uomini curate poco l’amore, perché lo lasciate raffreddare e perciò lasciate anche l’anima nella costituzione di infelicità, perché non prestate alla vostra anima nessun aiuto nella sua miseria, che significa per l’anima un peso di peccati, a lei ora deve essere portato un altro aiuto. Deve percorrere un cammino di sofferenza, che ha anche per conseguenza che dissolve gli involucri più duri, ma l’anima rimane indebolita finché riceve la Forza tramite l’agire nell’amore. Può quindi entrare nell’Aldilà in debolezza ed inerzia, ma sulla Terra ha raggiunto (la condizione) di non prestare più nessuna resistenza agli sforzi degli esseri d’aiuto volonterosi d’aiutare, che nel suo stato di debolezza sia grata per l’aiuto ed ora è anche pronta, di prestare lo stesso aiuto alle anime che sono nella sua stessa miseria. Già questa volontà d’aiutare le apporta la Forza, perché in quelle anime divampa l’amore che soltanto ora assicura la risalita all’anima. Perciò gli uomini devono benedire la sofferenza che li colpisce sulla Terra, quando hanno mancato di svolgere l’agire nell’amore, perché l’amore conquista solamente con la sofferenza, e deve aver respinto dapprima le scorie che gravano su di lei prima che sia possibile di donarle così tanta Luce affinché ora lei stessa tenda verso l’Alto. E perciò è poco utile voler tenere lontano ogni sofferenza da un uomo, e dove l’amore dei prossimi vorrebbe aiutare costui, questo amore dovrebbe essere orientato alla guarigione spirituale, al progresso spirituale dell’uomo. Si deve pensare a loro nell’intercessione, affinché la sofferenza non perda la sua influenza e costui venga purificato dalla sofferenza, benché anche il prossimo deve fare di tutto per evitare la sofferenza terrena al suo prossimo, quando questo è nel suo potere. Ma sovente l’uomo stesso si trova inerme davanti alla miseria del prossimo. Ed allora dovete sapere che la sofferenza è ammessa appunto per via della purificazione dell’anima; dovete sapere che l’anima una volta riconoscerà la benedizione della sofferenza, che le era destinata nella vita terrena, appena si è arresa alla sua sorte terrena, perché ora nell’aldilà può commiserare anche la sofferenza delle altre anime infelici e da ciò si è risvegliata la sua volontà d’aiutare che ora garantisce anche la sua risalita.
