Jesus' forerunner....

The higher development of the soul is the human being's task on earth.... Yet only few are aware of it, only few question the purpose and goal of their existence.... The majority only strive for prosperity, for everything that provides the body with a sense of well-being. But all people have the gift of intellect, all people would be able to question themselves about the purpose and goal of earthly life, and all people would also receive an answer.... for it is the first step of ascent. However, since people think no further than their death, since they seldom believe in their soul's life after death, the question of their earthly welfare is more important to them and they consider their earthly activity and work a priority.... They lack faith.... for even if they had just a little faith they would not find inner peace regardless of their earthly comfort.... The more the end approaches the less faith can be found amongst people....

This is why unusually devout people will arise in the last days who can also carry out unusual feats and draw people's attention to themselves, for God will truly still try everything so as to help those who just require such unusual stimulation in order to become aware of the purpose of their lives. These people are beings of light who are embodied on earth for the purpose of a mission, who want to remedy people's adversity and therefore live on earth in the flesh without realising their origin. Their strong bond with God which they, however, establish voluntarily as human beings just like all their fellow humans would be able to do, gives them extraordinary strength.... For they have a loving nature and thus their belief is so alive that it expresses itself in unusual activity.... by proclaiming Jesus Christ with a living faith and in practical help of body and soul in His name.... On account of such people many can still come to believe, for they clearly demonstrate a strength which cannot be explained in an earthly way. People shall be helped to find faith and simultaneously shown the path to God for which, in view of the entirely incredulous human race, unusual means must be used which nevertheless will not force them to believe.

More and more awakened people will prove their strength of faith the nearer it is to the end.... Until a bright light begins to shine.... Until someone appears who announces the imminent arrival of the Lord and prepares the way for Him again.... His light will shine brightly in all directions.... For his appearance will soon become known, and although he will be a source of strength and comfort to many people, the majority will nevertheless meet him with hostility since they belong to God's adversary and on his instruction take action against everything of a divinely-spiritual nature and particularly persecute those who speak in Jesus' name and proclaim the near end.... Yet precisely because God's adversary will proceed with extraordinary brutality during the last battle on this earth, the extraordinary light will be sent to earth.... once again a spirit of light will embody itself on this earth as it is written.... Once again he will precede the Lord and proclaim His coming, and once again he will make himself known as a 'voice in the wilderness'.... And he will know who he is yet unassumingly live his earthly life, which will also be sealed with his death again.

But all people faithful to God will draw strength from him and time and again be lifted up when the adversity of the time seems to knock them down.... For he speaks on God's instructions.... God Himself speaks through him to people. They will also realise the important mission of Jesus Christ's forerunner and therefore fully consciously expect the Lord's arrival and won't doubt that they will be delivered from greatest distress. By the time the former appears the time will have come which has been constantly announced by seers and prophets, for when he comes the adversary's activity, which affects the believers so extraordinarily, will be so obvious that they will also need extraordinary help.... For he will let his light shine, sending its rays far and wide.... People everywhere will hear about him and the believers will know who hides behind this light, and thus they will also know which hour has struck. Yet despite hostility and a ban on speaking Jesus Christ's forerunner will continue steadfastly along his course.... He speaks on God's instructions and recognises no other Lord than the One he serves.... And his speeches will ignite hearts; they will strengthen the weak to muster the courage to die for their belief....

However, every human life rests in God's hand.... He alone knows when the hour of deliverance will strike, when His coming to earth and the removal of His Own will take place.... And His forerunner, too, knows his end but even his death will still be a service to his Lord.... For he will bring the work of glorification to completion, as a result of his death God's might and glory will be revealed.... For only One rules over life and death and this One will prove Himself as Lord, as victor over His adversary when the last day comes.... He will give life to those who believe in Him.... and all who are enslaved by His adversary will fall prey to death....

예수의 선행자.

혼이 높은 곳으로 성장하는 일이 사람들의 이 땅의 과제이다. 그러나 단지 소수의 사람들이 이를 알고 단지 소수의 사람들이 존재하는 목적과 의미에 대해 질문하고 대다수의 사람들은 단지 세상의 부유함과 무엇보다 육체를 행복하게 하는 일에 도움을 주는 모든 일을 추구한다. 그러나 모든 사람은 자신의 이성을 사용할 수 있는 은사를 가지고 있고 모든 사람은 스스로 이 땅의 삶의 목적과 목표에 대한 질문을 할 수 있다. 모든 사람은 이 질문에 대한 답변을 받아야 한다. 왜냐면 이런 질문이 높은 곳으로 향하기 위한 첫 걸음이기 때문이다. 그러나 사람들이 단지 그들의 죽음까지 생각하고 희귀하게 혼이 계속 산다는 것을 믿기 때문에 그들에게는 그들의 이 땅의 행복에 관한 질문이 더 중요하고 그들은 세상적인 의미에서 창조하고 역사하는 일을 더 긴급하게 여긴다.

그들에게는 믿음이 없다. 왜냐면 그들이 단지 작은 믿음이라도 가지고 있었다면, 그들이 세상적인 행복에도 불구하고 내적인 평안을 찾을 수 없을 것이기 때문이다. 종말이 가까이 다가올수록 사람들 가운데 믿음을 더욱 적게 찾아볼 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러므로 종말의 때에 특별하게 하나님과 연합 된 사람들이 나오게 될 것이고 이로써 특별하게 역사할 수 있고 이웃의 주의를 끌 수 있는 사람들이 나오게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 하나님은 사람들이 이 땅의 목적을 의식하게 만들고 이런 자극이 단지 필요한 사람들을 돕기 위해 진실로 모든 일을 시도하기 때문이다.

이런 사람들은 사명 때문에 이 땅에서 육신을 입은 빛의 존재들이고 사람들의 위험을 돕기를 원하고 자신의 출신 성분을 의식하지 못하면서 육신을 입은 가운데 이 땅에서 사는 사람들이다. 그들의 이웃들도 할 수 있는 것처럼 그들이 인간으로서 자유의지로 하나님과 이룬 강한 연결이 그들에게 특별한 능력을 부여한다. 왜냐면 그들의 성품이 사랑이기 때문이다. 그러므로 그들은 아주 생명력이 있는 믿음을 가지고 있고 이런 믿음이 특별한 방식으로 나타나고 생명력이 있게 예수 그리스도를 선포한다. 이런 믿음이 예수 이름으로 육체와 혼에게 행동력이 있는 도움을 주는 일로 나타난다. 그들을 많은 사람들의 믿음을 얻게 될 수 있다. 왜냐면 그들은 세상적으로 설명할 수 없는 볼 수 있는 힘을 보여주기 때문이다.

사람들은 믿음을 갖도록 도움을 받아야 하고 동시에 하나님께 향하는 길을 알아야 한다. 이를 위해 전적으로 믿음이 없는 사람들에게 특별한 수단을 사용해야만 하지만 그러나 믿도록 강요하지 않는 수단을 사용해야만 한다. 종말이 가까이 다가올수록 한 사람이 큰 빛이 비출것이고 주님이 곧 온다는 것을 선포할 것이고 깨어난 사람들이 주님의 길을 다시 예비하기 까지 항상 더욱 많이 그들의 믿음의 능력을 증명하게 될 것이다. (1956년 5월 25일)

그의 빛은 넓은 영역에서 밝게 빛나게 할 것이다. 왜냐면 그의 나타남은 곧 알려지게 될 것이기 때문이다. 비록 그가 많은 사람들에게 능력과 위로를 주는 원천이 된다 할지라도 그러나 그는 저항을 더 많이 받을 것이다. 이런 저항은 아직 종말의 때에 다수이고 하나님의 대적자에게 속해 있고 대적자의 명을 받아 모든 신적인 것과 영적인 것을 공격하는 저항이고 특별히 예수의 이름으로 말하고 가까운 종말을 선포하는 사람들을 공격하는 저항이다.

그러나 하나님의 대적자가 특별한 잔인함으로 이 땅의 마지막 싸움에 임하기 때문에 특별한 빛을 이 땅에 보낼 것이다. 기록이 된 대로 다시 빛의 존재가 이 땅의 육신을 입게 될 것이고 그는 다시 주님을 앞서 가게 될 것이고 그의 재림을 선포할 것이다. 그는 다시 "광야에 부르는 소리"로 자신을 깨달을 수 있게 해줄 것이다. 그는 자신이 누구인지 알고 그럴지라도 아주 초라하게 그의 죽음으로 끝나게 될 이 땅의 삶을 살게 될 것이다.

그러나 하나님께 신실한 모든 사람은 그로부터 힘을 얻을 것이고 이 때의 위험이 그들을 바닥으로 넘어지게 하는 것처럼 되면, 그들은 항상 또 다시 세움을 받을 것이다. 왜냐면 그가 하나님의 사명을 받아 말하고 하나님 자신이 그를 통해 사람들에게 말하기 때문이다. 사람들은 예수 그리스도의 선행자의 의미가 있는 사명을 이해하고 이로써 그들은 주님의 재림을 전적으로 의식하는 가운데 기다리며 그들이 가장 큰 위험으로부터 자유롭게 될 것을 의심하지 않는다.

이런 사람이 나타나면, 항상 선견자와 선지자를 통해 예언한 때가 온 것이다. 왜냐면 이런 사람이 오면, 적 그리스도의 역사도 드러나기 때문이다. 적그리스도는 믿는 자들을 특별하게 공격해 믿는 자들이 특별한 도움이 필요할 것이다. 왜냐면 이런 사람은 그의 빛을 비추게 될 것이고 넓은 영역을 밝혀줄 것이기 때문이다. 사람들은 어느 곳이든지 그의 말을 듣게 될 것이다. 믿는 사람들은 이런 빛 뒤에 누가 숨겨져 있는지를 알게 될 것이고 그리고 때가 어느 때 인지를 알게 될 것이다.

그러나 예수 그리스도의 선행자는 공격을 받고 말하는 일을 금지를 당하는 일에도 불구하고 가는 길을 잃지 않고 그의 길을 갈 것이다. 그는 하나님의 사명을 받아 말하고 그가 섬기는 한 분의 주님 외에는 다른 어떤 주님도 인정하지 않을 것이다. 그의 말은 불이 타오르게 할 것이고 그의 말은 연약한 사람들에게 저항할 수 있는 능력을 주게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 사람들이 이를 통해 자신의 믿음을 위해 죽을 수 있는 용기를 가질 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 모든 사람의 생명이 하나님의 손에 달려있고 하나님만이 구원의 시간이 언제 임할지 언제 그가 이 땅에 임해 자신에게 속한 사람들을 휴거시킬 것인지를 안다.

선행자도 자신의 죽음을 안다. 그러나 그는 자신의 죽음을 통해 자신의 주님을 섬긴다. 왜냐면 그는 영광스럽게 하는 역사를 완성할 것이기 때문이다. 그의 죽음을 통해 하나님의 권세와 영광이 드러날 것이다. 왜냐면 한 분이 단지 삶과 죽음을 결정하기 때문이다. 이 한 분이 종말의 때가 오면, 자신을 주님으로 증명할 것이고 자신의 대적자에 대한 승리자로 증명할 것이다. 그는 자신을 믿는 사람들에게 생명을 줄 것이고 그의 대적자에게 속한 모든 사람은 죽음에 빠지게 될 것이다.
