Life in divine order in free will as a human being....

An ascent development of the spiritual can only take place when it moves in divine order. Therefore, as long as the spiritual is bound in the works of creation it cannot but move in divine order, for it performs all its accomplishments in the law of compulsion according to God's will and thus, as it were, matures until it enters the stage as a human being where it is no longer determined by divine will but is to live in free will in divine order. Maturing therefore now depends on the human being's will, which can just as well be completely unlawful, so that the human being lives outside of divine order. And to live outside of divine order means to walk on earth completely without love.... Then the hitherto attained degree of maturity of the human being's soul.... is endangered, for it can now sink into the depth from which it has worked its way up in endless time through services it had to perform in the bound state.... It can also run the risk of having to take the endlessly long path of development once again if free will fails in the stage as a human being, if it is completely opposed to divine will. The human being has an advantage over the bound spiritual because he can reach the highest stage of development.... Therefore he bears great responsibility for this time, for he alone determines the degree of maturity which earthly life will bring him. But this short test of earthly life has to be passed by him because the previous ascent development is a gift of grace from God, because it is not the spiritual being's own merit to have reached the degree which is the prerequisite for embodiment as a human being.... He must now lawfully acquire this gift of grace by doing the same in free will as he had to do in bound will.... by serving in love.... It is only an exceedingly short time that he walks on earth as a human being, and so much grace is at his disposal that he can very well live in divine order.... but freedom of will must be granted to him, he cannot necessarily be determined to think and act on earth. For the price he pays for the right use of his will is: complete freedom in light and strength.... He has to give up his resistance against God and thereby prove that he has found his way back to God, from Whom he had once voluntarily distanced himself. And God will truly grant him every help, He will shower him with grace so that he can muster the willpower.... Yet it is up to him whether he uses the blessings; it is up to him whether he takes the right path, whether he takes the path of love, whether he thus moves in divine order.... And therefore the human being decides his own destiny in his earthly life.... an eternal life in beatitude or a state of bondage, which will always be agonizing for the spiritual being because it completely contradicts the spiritual being's original nature, which was created in light and strength and freedom and can also only be blissfully happy in light and strength and freedom....

인간으로서 자유의지를 가진 가운데 하나님의 질서 안에서 사는 삶.

하나님의 질서대로 살 때 단지 영적인 성장을 이룰 수 있다. 영적인 존재가 창조물 안에 묶여 있는 동안에는 영적인 존재는 단지 하나님의 질서대로 움직일 수 있다. 왜냐면 영적인 존재가 의무의 법 아래 하나님의 뜻대로 모든 일을 수행하기 때문이다. 이로써 영적인 존재가 인간의 단계에 들어가기까지 성숙하게 되고 인간의 단계에서는 영적인 존재가 더 이상 하나님의 뜻에 의해 정함을 받지 않고 자유의지로 하나님의 질서에 따라 살아야 한다. 그러므로 성장하는 일이 인간의 의지에 달려 있고 인간의 의지가 마찬가지로 전적으로 율법을 반하는 방향으로 향할 수 있고 이로써 인간이 하나님의 질서 밖에서 살 수 있게 된다.

하나님의 질서 밖에서 사는 일은 전혀 사랑이 없이 이 땅에서 사는 일을 의미한다. 그러면 인간의 혼인 영적인 존재가 지금까지 도달한 영적인 성숙의 정도가 위험하게 된다. 그러나 영적인 존재가 이제 깊은 곳으로 빠질 수 있다. 즉 영적인 존재가 끝 없이 오랜 기간 동안 묶임을 받은 상태에서 수행해야만 했던 섬기는 일을 통해 성장해 빠져나온 깊은 곳으로 빠질 수 있다. 인간의 단계에서 자유의지로 실패하고 사람이 하나님의 뜻에 전적으로 저항하면 끝 없이 긴 성장의 길을 다시 가야만 하는 위험에 빠질 수 있다.

인간은 묶임을 받은 영적인 존재보다 유리하다. 왜냐면 인간이 가장 높은 수준의 성장을 이룰 수 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 그는 이 기간에 대한 큰 책임을 져야 한다. 왜냐면 그가 유일하게 이 땅에서 사는 동안에 그가 이루는 성장 정도를 정하기 때문이다. 그러나 그는 이런 짧은 이 땅의 삶의 시험을 치러야만 한다. 왜냐면 이전의 성장단계는 하나님의 은혜의 선물이고 인간으로서 육신을 입는 일을 위한 전제 조건에 도달한 일이 영적인 존재 자신의 공로가 아니었기 때문이다. 사람은 이제 이런 은혜의 선물을 합법적으로 얻어야만 한다. 이를 위해 인간은 그가 자유의지로 이제 자신이 묶임을 받은 의지로 해야만 했던 같은 일을 행하고 사랑으로 섬겨야 한다.

그가 인간으로서 이 땅에서 거하는 기간은 단지 아주 짧은 시간에 불과하고 그에게 아주 많은 은혜가 제공되어 그가 실제 하나님의 질서대로 살 수 있다. 그러나 그는 의지의 자유를 보장받아야만 하고 그는 이 땅에서 강제적으로 생각하고 행동하도록 정함을 받을 수 없다. 왜냐면 그의 의지를 올바로 사용하는 일의 댓가가 빛과 힘을 가진 전적인 자유이기 때문이다. 그는 하나님을 향한 저항을 포기하고 이로써 그가 한때 자발적으로 떠난 하나님께 돌아가는 길을 찾았다는 것을 증명해야만 한다.

하나님은 진실로 그에게 모든 도움을 줄 것이고 그가 의지의 힘을 모을 수 있도록 그에게 은혜를 베풀 것이다. 그러나 그가 이런 은혜를 활용하고 올바른 길을 택하고 사랑의 길을 택하고 이로써 그가 하나님의 질서대로 살지는 그에게 달려 있다. 그러므로 인간 자신이 이 땅의 삶에서 축복된 영원한 삶이나 또는 묶임을 받는 상태가 되는 자신의 운명을 정한다. 묶임을 받는 상태는 영적인 존재에게 아주 고통스럽게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 이런 상태는 빛과 힘과 자유를 가진 가운데 창조되었고 단지 빛과 힘과 자유 가운데 축복될 수 있는 영적인 존재의 원래의 성품과 완전히 모순되기 때문이다.
