Life.... Awakening the divine spark in the person....

The divine spiritual spark in the human being is his actual life, consequently, one can only speak of rebirth when the spirit in the human being has been awakened, when it can start to become active and thus the spiritual life begins.... In that case the human being is spiritually reborn, for his physical birth only makes sense and serves its purpose when spiritual rebirth has taken place. The divine spiritual spark has consciously been acknowledged by the person's soul even if the person is not yet able to rationally differentiate between the two concepts of soul and spirit. For the process of unification of spirit and soul can happen without a person's knowledge, since this is only conveyed to him when it occurred. Only then will the spirit explain to the soul what the unity of the spirit with the soul means, and only then will the soul strive towards ever closer union with its spirit and will accept the most valuable knowledge from it. And from then on the human being will be alive, that is, he will utilise his knowledge and consciously work for the kingdom of God; he will eagerly work at distributing the obtained information and at imparting the knowledge to his fellow human beings.... Life is continuous activity.... Admittedly, the human being is certainly physically alive without having awakened his indwelling spiritual spark, that is, he is active in an earthly way and thus works for his earthly life, for his body and for earthly goals. But this is not the true life, the life which is everlasting, the life Jesus had spoken about and which He promised to anyone who believes in Him.... True life is the never-ending life of the spirit, the attainment of which is the purpose of life on earth. This purpose will only be achieved when the human being's spirit has come to life.

Spiritual rebirth is the most worthwhile goal to strive for, because it will yield indescribable gain for the human being's soul. That which is offered by the earth is impermanent and only benefits the body but never the soul. In contrast, what the spirit offers the soul will refresh it and quench its thirst, it is its nourishment, thus it is strength for living; it is a precious commodity which can no longer perish, which induces happiness and encourages diligent activity and therefore can be called the elixir of life, because death, which previously had threatened the soul and would be its inevitable share had rebirth not taken place, will no longer be possible. The carnal body is the shell which harbours the divine spark and it is up to the person's free will as to whether he bursts the shell, whether he strives to awaken the Divine within himself to life. If the soul, the bearer of the will, turns towards the divine spirit by trying to penetrate the shell, by trying to liberate itself from all earthly wishes, from bad habits and vices, if it tries to dissolve the shell through activity of love, the divine spiritual spark will start to move, it will make contact with the human being's soul, it will help it rise above itself, it will constantly whisper advice and instructions and thus guide the soul as soon as it allows itself to be guided. From then on the divine spark in the person will take the lead and this will truly be right.... Then the spirit and soul will no longer oppose each other but pursue their goal together.... they will strive towards the eternal home and pay no attention to the body, the earth and everything of an earthly nature, even though the human being still lives on earth. The human being is alive, even if earthly matters are of no further interest to him, for his spirit is alive and is constantly active. The human being only works for the spiritual kingdom, for the kingdom of God, he works at improving himself and his fellow human beings, he is incessantly active, for the indwelling spiritual spark will not allow him to rest, that is, to rest idly, as it is harmful and synonymous with death.... with a state which is painful in eternity and should therefore be feared as the worst fate that can befall the human soul. However, once the spirit has come alive then death will no longer exist, for the spirit is immortal and also draws the soul into eternal life, into everlasting glory....

Leben.... Erwecken des göttlichen Funkens im Menschen....

Der göttliche Geistesfunke im Menschen ist das eigentliche Leben dessen, und darum kann von Wiedergeburt erst dann gesprochen werden, wenn der Geist im Menschen erweckt worden ist, wenn er seine Tätigkeit beginnen kann und also das geistige Leben seinen Anfang nimmt.... Es ist der Mensch dann wiedergeboren im Geist, denn seine irdische Geburt ist erst dann sinn- und zweckvoll geworden, wenn die geistige Wiedergeburt stattgefunden hat. Es ist der göttliche Geistesfunke von der Seele des Menschen (bewußt) anerkannt worden, selbst wenn der Mensch verstandesmäßig die beiden Begriffe Seele und Geist noch nicht auseinanderhalten kann. Denn das Einen des Geistes mit der Seele ist ein Vorgang, der sich vollziehen kann, ohne daß der Mensch als solcher davon Kenntnis hat, denn diese Kenntnis wird ihm erst vermittelt, so sich die Einigung zwischen Seele und Geist vollzogen hat. Denn dann erst kann der Geist die Seele darüber aufklären, was die Einigung des Geistes mit der Seele bedeutet, und dann erst strebt die Seele nach immer innigerer Vereinigung mit ihrem Geist und nimmt das reichste Wissen von ihm entgegen. Und nun erst lebt der Mensch, d.h., er verwertet sein Wissen und arbeitet nun bewußt für das Reich Gottes; er ist emsig tätig, das gewonnene Wissen zu verbreiten und den Mitmenschen die Erkenntnis zu übermitteln....

Leben ist ständige Tätigkeit.... Irdisch lebt der Mensch zwar auch, ohne den göttlichen Funken in sich erweckt zu haben, d.h., er ist irdisch tätig und schaffet also für sein Erdenleben, für seinen Körper und für irdische Ziele. Dies ist aber nicht das wahre Leben, das Leben, das Bestand hat, das Leben, von dem Jesus Christus gesprochen hat, das Er dem verheißen hat, der an Ihn glaubt.... Denn das wahre Leben ist das Leben des Geistes, das unvergänglich ist und das zu gewinnen Zweck des Erdenlebens ist. Erst wenn der Geist im Menschen erweckt ist zum Leben, dann ist der Erdenlebenszweck erfüllt. Und diese Wiedergeburt des Geistes ist das Erstrebenswerteste, weil es der Seele des Menschen unnennbaren Gewinn einträgt. Was die Erde bietet, ist unbeständig und nur dem Körper nütze, niemals aber der Seele. Was jedoch der Geist der Seele bietet, ist ihr Erquickung und Labsal, es ist ihr Nahrung, also Kraft zum Leben; es ist köstliches Gut, das nicht mehr vergehen kann, das beglückt und zu emsiger Tätigkeit antreibt und daher das Lebenselixier genannt werden kann, weil nun der Tod nimmermehr möglich ist, der zuvor die Seele bedroht hat und auch unweigerlich ihr Anteil wäre, so die geistige Wiedergeburt nicht stattgefunden hätte. Es ist der fleischliche Körper die Hülle, die den göttlichen Funken in sich birgt, und vom freien Willen des Menschen hängt es nun ab, ob er die Hülle sprengt, ob er danach trachtet, das Göttliche in sich zum Leben zu erwecken. Und so nun die Seele, die Trägerin des Willens, dem göttlichen Geist sich zuwendet, indem sie die Hülle zu durchdringen sucht, indem sie selbst sich frei macht von allen irdischen Wünschen, von Untugenden und Lastern, so sie durch Liebetätigkeit die Hülle aufzulösen sucht, wird der göttliche Geistesfunke sich zu regen beginnen, er wird mit der Seele des Menschen Fühlung nehmen, er wird ihr helfen, sich zu überwinden, er wird ihr ständig Ratschläge und Unterweisungen zuflüstern, und er wird die Seele nun lenken, sowie sie sich von ihm lenken läßt. Und nun übernimmt der göttliche Funke im Menschen die Führung, und diese ist wahrlich recht.... Nun stehen der Geist und die Seele nicht mehr im Widerspruch zueinander, sondern sie verfolgen vereint ihr Ziel.... sie streben der ewigen Heimat zu und lassen den Körper, die Erde und alles Irdische unbeachtet, wenngleich der Mensch noch auf Erden weilt. Es ist der Mensch lebendig, selbst wenn er gleichgültig dem Irdischen gegenübersteht, denn sein Geist lebt und wirket unentwegt. Es schaffet der Mensch nur noch für das geistige Reich, für das Reich Gottes, er arbeitet an sich und an den Mitmenschen, er ist unentwegt tätig, denn der Geistesfunke in ihm lässet ihn nimmer zur Ruhe kommen, zur untätigen Ruhe, die verderblich ist, weil sie gleichbedeutend ist mit Tod.... mit einem Zustand, der qualvoll ist in der Ewigkeit und darum gefürchtet werden soll als das ärgste Los, das der Seele des Menschen beschieden sein kann. Ist aber der Geist lebendig geworden, dann gibt es ewig keinen Tod mehr, denn der Geist ist unsterblich, und er ziehet auch die Seele zu sich in das ewige Leben, in die ewige Herrlichkeit....
