Spiritual progress - constant struggle and fight....

All spiritual progress must be fought for.... must always be preceded by an overcoming of oneself if the soul is to mature and achieve spiritual success. And therefore the will always has to become active, the human being is not forced to do so but has to think and act in complete freedom of will.... And therefore it is often made difficult for him to test his will, obstacles are placed in his path, temptations of all kinds approach him which he can only resist with utmost strength of will, and if he does so then he will inevitably ascend. A constant struggle and overcoming is therefore man's lot on earth, because otherwise he cannot reach the heights. Life on earth is a test in which the human being has to prove himself and he will fail if he does not constantly struggle and strive. For God wants to kindle the desire for Himself in the human being, He wants to strengthen it through every resistance so that the human being strives ever more and thereby comes ever closer to Him. There is no ascent without a fight, for even the person who is willing to love has to fight against himself, he has to suppress all self-love, he has to deny himself what he wants to do to his fellow human being, and this is always an inner battle before he has reached that degree of perfection which makes him forget himself. As long as earthly matter surrounds the human being he has to fight against it, and it requires a lot of willpower to completely free himself from the desire for it because the body is still too closely connected to it. But the human being who strives towards God increasingly puts matter aside, and when he is faced with the choice he gives it up with a light heart because God helps him in this battle as soon as He recognizes his will, thus the battle will be easier the more the human being strives towards God. For now love also becomes active in him, and this renounces far sooner everything that hinders man from ascending. Anyone who has love has already travelled the path of battle and emerged victorious, he has progressed spiritually and now his life will be easier, for he is now serving and therefore no longer needs to fight.... And every service in love is spiritual progress, every service in love is an overcoming of oneself of one's own free will, which was preceded by a struggle as soon as the human being was in a low degree of maturity.... He must not become discouraged, for a high goal crowns his eager endeavour. He must always be mindful that he walks the earth for the sake of this goal and that only one thing is required of him.... submission to the divine will.... which he has so far resisted.... This requires overcoming and struggle until he has become love and fulfils the divine will without resistance.... until he has the same will and has thereby come close to God....

Progresul spiritual - luptă permanentă....

Pentru orice progres spiritual trebuie să se lupte.... trebuie întotdeauna să fie precedat de o luptă de sine, dacă se dorește ca sufletul să se maturizeze și să atingă succesul spiritual. Și de aceea voința trebuie să devină întotdeauna activă, omul nu este forțat să facă acest lucru, ci trebuie să gândească și să acționeze în deplină libertate de voință.... Și de aceea, de multe ori i se creează dificultăți, astfel încât voința sa este pusă la încercare, i se pun obstacole în cale, se apropie de el tentații de tot felul, cărora nu poate rezista decât cu cea mai mare voință, iar dacă face acest lucru, atunci va urca și el inevitabil. Prin urmare, soarta omului pe Pământ este de a lupta și de a se învinge în mod constant, pentru că altfel nu va putea să se înalțe. Viața terestră este un test în care omul trebuie să se dovedească pe sine, iar el va eșua dacă nu luptă și nu se străduiește în mod constant. Căci Dumnezeu vrea să aprindă în om dorința pentru Sine, vrea să-l întărească prin orice rezistență, astfel încât omul să se străduiască tot mai mult și astfel să se apropie tot mai mult de El. Nu există ascensiune fără luptă, căci chiar și omul care iubește de bunăvoie trebuie să lupte împotriva lui însuși, trebuie să își reprime orice iubire de sine, trebuie să își refuze ceea ce vrea să facă semenilor săi, iar aceasta este întotdeauna o luptă interioară înainte de a ajunge la acel grad de perfecțiune care îi permite să uite de sine. Atâta timp cât materia pământească îl înconjoară pe om, el trebuie să lupte împotriva ei și este nevoie de multă voință pentru a se elibera complet de dorința pentru ea, deoarece trupul este încă prea strâns legat de ea. Dar persoana care se străduiește spre Dumnezeu lasă din ce în ce mai mult materia deoparte, iar atunci când este pusă în fața alegerii, renunță cu ușurință la ea, deoarece Dumnezeu o ajută în această luptă imediat ce îi vede voința, astfel că lupta va fi cu atât mai ușoară cu cât persoana se străduiește mai mult spre Dumnezeu cu dorință. Pentru că atunci se va trezi în ea și dragostea, iar aceasta se va dezbrăca mult mai repede de tot ceea ce împiedică ascensiunea ființei umane. Oricine are iubire a parcurs deja calea bătăliei și a ieșit victorios, a progresat spiritual și acum viața lui va fi mai ușoară, căci acum este în slujba sa și, prin urmare, nu mai are nevoie să lupte.... Și orice slujire în iubire este un progres spiritual, orice slujire în iubire este o depășire de sine de bună voie, care a fost precedată de o luptă de îndată ce omul se afla într-un grad scăzut de maturitate.... El nu trebuie să se descurajeze, căci un țel înalt încununează strădania sa entuziastă. El trebuie să fie mereu conștient de faptul că pentru acest țel parcurge drumul pe Pământ și că i se cere un singur lucru.... Supunerea față de voința divină.... căreia i-a rezistat până acum.... Acest lucru necesită depășire și luptă până când el a devenit iubire și îndeplinește voința divină fără rezistență.... până când are aceeași voință și astfel s-a apropiat de Dumnezeu....
