Responsibility of educators.... love of truth....

The person who exercises an educational ministry and leads the souls entrusted to him astray bears a tremendous responsibility. As soon as he is active as a teacher, he must also be completely convinced of what he is teaching, otherwise he must not transfer his knowledge to others. This is especially true for teachings that relate to spiritual matters, i.e. that are intended to educate the soul. If he is convinced of the truth of these teachings, then he also has the right to defend his conviction. However, in order to be convinced, he must have thought through the teachings himself and taken a stand on them with the full will to stand in the truth. Then he will also be able to justify his educational ministry before God, because he is now acting to the best of his knowledge when he fulfils this ministry. However, as soon as he only passes on knowledge that he himself has received in exactly the same way without being fully convinced of the truth of it, he is guilty of the educated thinking of the people entrusted to him, for he is, as it were, imposing knowledge on them that may be far removed from the truth. But he has the task of watching over their knowledge, he must protect them from error or from teachings that are so unclear that they only confuse their thinking, for this is his office, which he is to administer conscientiously. But he can fulfil his office with peace of mind if he takes refuge in God, if he asks Him for enlightenment and His help, thus entrusting the souls of the people entrusted to him to God so that He may protect them from error or wrong thinking. He must be aware of his responsibility and only want to represent the pure truth, then God will also strengthen his will and his power of realization, and he will only pass on what he can fully affirm, what is therefore regarded by him as truth. And that is why it is of particular importance for a teacher that he intimately connects himself with God and asks Him for His help and blessing, because not only his salvation but also that of the pupils entrusted to him is in danger if divine grace does not make his activity a blessed one, if God does not give him the fullest realization as to whether and when he is in the truth. For one day he will have to answer for himself and he will be called to account for the souls to whom he should proclaim the truth....

La responsabilità degli educatori - L’amore per la Verità

L’uomo che esercita una funzione educativa carica su di sé un’immensa responsabilità, se conduce le anime a lui affidate nello smarrimento. Appena è attivo nell’insegnamento, deve essere assolutamente convinto di ciò che insegna, altrimenti non deve trasferire su altri le sue conoscenze. Questo vale soprattutto per gli insegnamenti che si riferiscono a cose spirituali, che quindi devono sviluppare l’anima. Se è convinto della Verità di questi insegnamenti, allora ha anche il diritto di rappresentare questa sua convinzione, ma per poter essere convincente, egli stesso deve aver elaborato questi insegnamenti ed averne preso posizione e cioè, con la piena volontà di stare nella Verità. Allora potrà anche rispondere della sua funzione d’educazione davanti a Dio, perché ora agisce secondo la migliore conoscenza, se esercita questa funzione. Ma appena trasmette soltanto il sapere che egli stesso ha ricevuto così, senza essere pienamente convinto della sua Verità, allora si rende colpevole del pensare deformato degli uomini a lui affidati, perché li obbliga in certo qual modo ad un sapere che può essere molto lontano dalla Verità. Ma lui ha il compito di vegliare sul sapere di costoro, egli deve proteggerli dall’errore e dalle dottrine che sono poco chiare, che confondono soltanto il pensare, perché questa è la sua funzione che lui deve amministrare. Ma lui può svolgere tranquillamente la sua funzione, quando si rifugia in Dio, se Lo prega per avere l’illuminazione e la Sua Assistenza, quindi affida a Dio le anime degli uomini affidati a lui, che Egli li protegga dall’errore e dal falso pensare. Deve essere consapevole della sua responsabilità e voler sostenere soltanto la pura Verità, allora Dio fortificherà anche la sua volontà e la sua forza di conoscenza e darà agli altri soltanto ciò che lui può affermare pienamente, quello che perciò viene riconosciuto da lui come Verità. E perciò per un insegnante è di particolare importanza, perché si unisca intimamente con Dio e chiede a Lui la Sua Assistenza e Benedizione, perché è in pericolo non soltanto il bene della sua anima, ma anche quella dei suoi allievi, se la Grazia divina non benedice la sua attività, se Dio non gli dà la piena conoscenza, se e quando si trova nella Verità. Perché una volta deve rendere conto e verrà pretesa la giustificazione da lui sulle anime, alle quali doveva annunciare la Verità.
