True worship.... serving in love....

Joyful service in love is the true service of God, but only this is to be understood by it. Every human being is God's creature, and when one serves another, he also shows love to the creator, as it were, and serves Him.... The spiritual world can be incessantly active if access to the human being is opened up to it through active love, and can now also work in love again, i.e. hand out what it receives from God and receive again what it wants to hand out. For serving in love is also the first commandment in the beyond, but it is also a truly joyful activity, just as on earth serving in love likewise triggers the happiness of inner contentment and true joy in people. Labouring charity is therefore true service to God. Where love is lacking, serving God is inconceivable, and therefore everything else that is otherwise understood by the word service to God must be rejected. Anyone who wants to serve God can only do so by wanting to please Him, by doing what has been God's will since eternity.... that he lives in love and thereby confirms his origin, that he therefore recognizes his origin from God and now also endeavours to act as God Himself acts.... that he constantly gives love to every creature of God. Then he is of the same will as God because he has become what God Himself is.... love.... And then he can also do the same thing that God does.... to radiate His power of love to the creatures so that they can exist.... This only becomes understandable when the spiritual life is taken into consideration, which is independent of the life of the flesh, the physical shell. This spiritual life can only awaken when love becomes active in the human being, for then the human being receives God's emanation of love and now shapes himself according to divine will. In the same way, the being to whom the human being's love is directed is thereby also prompted to work in love.... For love awakens counter-love, and again a heart opens itself to God's emanation, and this becomes effective in the human being as increased love, which returns to God again, thus demanding that which was created by God to return to its creator....

This is the original purpose of the being, to work in the spiritual world in the closest union with God. It has distanced itself from God, but God does not let anything fall that has emerged from Him and always seeks to guide it towards Himself again. Every work of love is an approach to God and consequently a serving in love is the original purpose of the beingness, because serving in love is blissful and at the same time a ruling in the purest form.... It is a redirection of strength, a conveying of that which emanates from God, which is received by the spiritual being full of light and supplied to the spiritual being hungry for light.... This divine emanation, however, is love, which can now be received by the spiritual being, but which can also emanate unnoticed. If it is received by the being, then this expresses itself in such a way that this again becomes active in love, and thus the power of love increases perpetually, and every truly loving man contributes to the fact that the power returns again to God. If a person now serves another in love, he also offers his love to the creator from eternity, for man is the image of God, he is a divine product and therefore may not be lost. God's love belongs to every single creature and He tries to convey His love to them so that they recognize Him, and for this He needs a person who educates his fellow human beings to love, for only through love does man come closer to God. He should preach love and practice love.... by practicing love he establishes contact with the eternal love Itself, and thus he clears the path for the beings in the beyond to reach people so that they can now work directly. This is a work of mercy which should not be disregarded.... He also serves these beings by facilitating their work. And if someone connects his fellow human beings with the beings of light, there is no limit to their activity. The human being has now served in love and thereby also rendered a service to God, for His care is always directed towards the redemption of the unfree spiritual beings and since this is only possible through active neighbourly love, the human being thereby also serves God by contributing towards the redemption of the unfree spiritual beings....

Wahrer Gottesdienst.... Dienen in Liebe....

Ein freudiges Dienen in Liebe ist der rechte Gottesdienst, aber auch nur dieses ist darunter zu verstehen. Ein jeder Mensch ist Gottes Geschöpf, und so einer dem anderen dient, erweiset er gleichsam auch dem Schöpfer die Liebe und dienet Ihm.... Die geistige Welt kann unentwegt tätig sein, so ihr durch werktätige Liebe der Zugang zum Menschen erschlossen wird, und nun auch wieder wirken in Liebe, d.h. austeilen, was sie empfängt von Gott, und wieder empfangen, was sie austeilen will. Denn das Dienen in Liebe ist auch im Jenseits erstes Gebot, aber auch wahrhaft beglückende Tätigkeit, so, wie auf Erden das Dienen in Liebe gleichfalls im Menschen das Glück innerer Zufriedenheit und wahrer Freude auslöst. Werktätige Nächstenliebe also ist wahrer Gottesdienst. Wo die Liebe fehlt, ist ein Gott-Dienen undenkbar, und darum ist alles andere zu verwerfen, was unter dem Wort Gottesdienst sonst verstanden wird. Wer Gott dienen will, kann es nur dadurch tun, daß er Ihm eine Freude bereiten will, daß er das tut, was Gottes Wille ist seit Ewigkeit.... daß er in der Liebe lebt und damit seinen Ursprung bestätigt, daß er also seinen Ausgang aus Gott erkennt und nun auch so zu handeln bemüht ist, wie Gott Selbst handelt.... daß er unentwegt Liebe gibt jeglichem Geschöpf Gottes. Dann steht er im gleichen Willen mit Gott, weil er das geworden ist, was Gott Selbst ist.... Liebe.... Und dann kann er auch das gleiche tun, was Gott tut.... Seine Liebeskraft ausstrahlen auf die Geschöpfe, auf daß sie bestehen können.... Es wird dies erst verständlich, wenn das geistige Leben in Betracht gezogen wird, das unabhängig ist vom Leben des Fleisches, der körperlichen Hülle. Dieses geistige Leben kann erst erwachen, wenn die Liebe im Menschen tätig wird, denn dann nimmt der Mensch die Liebesausstrahlung Gottes in Empfang und gestaltet sich nun nach göttlichem Willen. Ebenso wird auch das Wesen, dem die Liebe des Menschen gilt, dadurch veranlaßt zum Wirken in Liebe.... Denn Liebe erweckt Gegenliebe, und wieder öffnet sich ein Herz der Ausstrahlung Gottes, und diese wird wirksam im Menschen als vermehrte Liebe, die wieder zu Gott zurückkommt, also das von Gott Geschaffene wieder zu seinem Schöpfer zurückverlangt....

Es ist dies die Urbestimmung des Wesens, im engsten Verband mit Gott zu wirken in der geistigen Welt. Es hat sich von Gott entfernt, Gott aber läßt nichts fallen, was aus Ihm hervorgegangen ist, und sucht es immer wieder Sich zuzuleiten. Jedes Liebeswerk ist eine Annäherung an Gott und folglich ein Dienen in Liebe die uranfängliche Bestimmung des Wesenhaften, weil Dienen in Liebe beglückend ist und gleichzeitig ein Herrschen in der reinsten Form.... Es ist ein Umleiten der Kraft, ein Vermitteln dessen, was aus Gott entströmt, von dem lichtvollen Geistigen empfangen, und dem nach Licht hungernden Geistigen zugeführt wird.... Diese göttliche Ausstrahlung aber ist Liebe, die nun von dem Wesenhaften empfangen werden kann, die aber auch unbeachtet verströmen kann. Wird sie von dem Wesenhaften in Empfang genommen, so äußert sich dies so, daß dieses wieder liebetätig wird, und also vermehrt sich die Kraft der Liebe immerwährend, und jeder wahrhaft liebetätige Mensch trägt dazu bei, daß die Kraft wieder zu Gott zurückkehrt. Dienet nun ein Mensch dem anderen in Liebe, so bringt er auch dem Schöpfer von Ewigkeit seine Liebe entgegen, denn es ist der Mensch das Ebenbild Gottes, er ist göttliches Produkt und darf sonach nicht verlorengehen. Gottes Liebe gehört jedem einzelnen Geschöpf, und Er suchet ihnen Seine Liebe zu vermitteln, auf daß sie Ihn erkennen, und Er bedarf dazu eines Menschen, der die Mitmenschen zur Liebe erzieht, denn nur durch die Liebe kommt der Mensch Gott näher. Dieser soll Liebe predigen und Liebe üben.... so er Liebe übet, stellt er den Kontakt her mit der ewigen Liebe Selbst, und er macht also den jenseitigen Wesen den Weg frei zu den Menschen, auf daß diese nun direkt wirken können. Es ist dies ein Werk der Barmherzigkeit, das nicht außer acht gelassen werden sollte.... Er dienet auch diesen Wesen, indem er ihnen ihr Wirken erleichtert. Und so jemand die Mitmenschen mit den Lichtwesen verbindet, ist deren Wirken keine Schranke gesetzt. Es hat der Mensch nun gedient in Liebe und Gott dadurch gleichfalls einen Dienst erwiesen, denn Dessen Fürsorge gilt jederzeit dem Erlösen des unfreien, Geistigen und da dies nur durch die tätige Nächstenliebe möglich ist, dienet der Mensch dadurch auch Gott, indem er zur Erlösung des unfreien Geistigen beiträgt....
