Idleness.... regulated activity....

Regulated activity is a blessing in that it protects people from the vices of idleness. This is by no means meaningless, for idleness is the greatest danger to the soul's higher development. It is, as it were, a return to the state of inactivity that the beingness had to endure in the bound will in the initial stage of its development.... thus an abuse of free will, which permits busy activity. Activity is life, inactivity death.... Thus the beingness, the soul, favours the state of death and at the same time puts itself in danger of falling into the most diverse vices. For as soon as a person is inactive, the desires of the body come to the fore; it wants to extract from life whatever earthly pleasures and joys are possible. And this is of the greatest harm to the soul. The state of activity, on the other hand, is only a danger to the soul if the human being is so materialistically minded that he wants to increase his earthly goods through his activity. Nevertheless, being active is serving.... And thus the human being unconsciously fulfils the task assigned to him for his time on earth. For although he carries out this serving activity without love, matter itself is nevertheless changed again, i.e. the spiritual in it is helped to serve through the constant transformation which every activity entails.... be it directly or indirectly through teaching activity. And that is why idleness should be fought most diligently and people should be encouraged to be industrious, because every activity is a blessing as long as it is not carried out to the detriment of fellow human beings. For this is true love for man, to protect him from spiritual decline. The hardships of earthly life are not even remotely comparable to the disadvantage that arises for the soul from an earthly life in which, out of apparent consideration, the demands that exist in regulated activity are kept from the human being. Man can only mature through the latter because he can never be spared serving. But he who wants to serve must be active.... But idleness excludes service; rather, man claims serving activity for himself, which is always a blessing only for the one who serves....

Mãos ociosas.... Atividade regulada....

A atividade regulada é uma bênção, pois protege o homem dos vícios do ócio. Isto não é de forma alguma insignificante, pois a ociosidade é o maior perigo para o desenvolvimento superior da alma. É, por assim dizer, um regresso ao estado de inactividade que o ser teve de suportar na vontade vinculada na fase inicial do seu desenvolvimento. portanto, um abuso do livre arbítrio, que permite uma actividade activa. Atividade é vida, inatividade, morte..... Assim, a disposição, a alma, dá preferência ao estado de morte e, ao mesmo tempo, coloca-se em perigo de cair em presa dos mais diversos vícios. Pois assim que o ser humano está inativo os desejos do corpo se empurram para a frente, ele quer ganhar da vida quaisquer prazeres e alegrias terrenos que sejam possíveis. E isto é do maior mal para a alma. O estado de atividade, por outro lado, só é um perigo para a alma se o ser humano tem uma mente tão materialista que quer aumentar os seus bens terrenos através da sua atividade. No entanto, estar activo é servir.... E assim o ser humano cumpre inconscientemente a tarefa que lhe foi designada para o tempo na Terra. Pois embora ele realize esta atividade de serviço sem amor, a matéria é novamente mudada, ou seja, o espiritual nela é ajudado a entrar em serviço através da constante transformação que toda atividade implica.... seja directa ou indirectamente através da actividade docente. E é por isso que a ociosidade deve ser combatida com mais afinco e o ser humano deve ser instado a ser industrialmente ativo, porque toda atividade é uma bênção, desde que não seja realizada em detrimento de outras pessoas. Pois este é o verdadeiro amor pelo ser humano, para protegê-lo do declínio espiritual. As dificuldades da vida terrena não podem nem mesmo começar a se comparar com a desvantagem que surge para a alma de uma vida terrena na qual, por consideração aparente, o ser humano é mantido afastado das exigências que existem na atividade regulada. O ser humano só pode amadurecer através deste último, porque nunca pode ser poupado a servir. Mas aquele que quer servir tem de estar activo.... A ociosidade, no entanto, exclui o serviço; ao contrário, o ser humano reivindica servir a actividade para si próprio, o que é apenas uma bênção para o servo...._>Amém
