A reminder of the strength of faith....

Receive everything from God as it is sent to you. There will come times when you will be weary and despondent and when your faith threatens to weaken. But then just stick to prayer and implore God for strength, and you will overcome the weakness of faith and all earthly hardship. For God needs strong fighters for the battle against the world, and man only becomes strong by overcoming himself. And therefore make every sacrifice to God; try to abstain from every worldly pleasure; remain deeply inwardly connected to God and recognize His great love in that He imposes trials on you by which you are to mature. For the day is drawing ever closer that calls you to action. God stands by you in every adversity, and so it must not weigh you down. For once God has seized you with His love He will not let you fall, and this faith should become so strong in you that you will face every earthly adversity without fear and only ever take refuge in Him in prayer. What God sends upon people will shake everyone's peace, and even the believers will doubt His love and think that God has abandoned them. Yet He invisibly stands by their side and only demands confidence and hope in His help.... and He will not disappoint them....

Mahnung zur Glaubensstärke....

Alles nimm von Gott entgegen so, wie es dir gesandt wird. Es werden Zeiten kommen, in denen du müde und verzagt sein wirst und wo dein Glaube schwach zu werden droht. Dann aber halte dich nur an das Gebet, und flehe Gott an um Kraft, und du wirst überwinden die Schwäche des Glaubens und alle irdische Not. Denn Gott braucht starke Streiter für den Kampf wider die Welt, und stark wird der Mensch nur durch Überwinden seiner selbst. Und darum bringe Gott jedes Opfer; versuche, dich jeder weltlichen Freude zu enthalten; bleibe Gott tief innerlich verbunden, und erkenne darin Seine große Liebe, daß Er dir Prüfungen auferlegt, an denen du ausreifen sollst. Denn der Tag rückt immer näher, der dich zur Tätigkeit ruft. Gott steht dir bei in jeder Not, und also darf sie dich nicht niederdrücken. Denn wen Gott einmal erfaßt hat mit Seiner Liebe, den lässet Er nicht fallen, und dieser Glaube soll so stark in dir werden, daß du jeder irdischen Not ohne Furcht begegnest und du nur immer zu Ihm deine Zuflucht nimmst im Gebet. Was Gott über die Menschen sendet, wird eines jeden Ruhe erschüttern, und auch die Gläubigen werden zweifeln an Seiner Liebe und denken, Gott habe sie verlassen. Doch unsichtbar steht Er ihnen zur Seite, und Er fordert nur Zuversicht und Hoffnung auf Seine Hilfe.... und Er wird diese nicht enttäuschen....
