Progress of the soul.... divine will....

Only that which contributes to the perfection of the soul can correspond to God's will. And this is the standard to be applied as to what is important to observe in earthly life. It is of no value for eternity to accomplish things which do not signify a possibility of progress for the soul, for then the human being will utilize the strength given to him for higher development in the wrong way and thus the time granted to him for this purpose will also be lost. If the human being subjects his thoughts and actions to scrutiny he must always be able to bring them into harmony with divine will, i.e. they must result in spiritual maturity, and therefore external actions are not necessary which are not expressed works of love, thus they will benefit his neighbour....

A sequence of good deeds guarantees the maturing of the soul, the soul strives towards perfection, consequently the human being then fulfils the divine will when he carries out what brings him closer to God. The distance from God was the cause for the emergence of that which surrounds man. Now this is to contribute to reducing the distance. What is now undertaken to achieve this goal is in accordance with God's will. But what is merely an end in itself, what serves earthly well-being or contributes to the increase of matter, increases the distance from God and therefore cannot be God-willed.... (interruption)

Progresso da Alma.... Vontade Divina....

Só isso pode corresponder à vontade de Deus que contribui para a perfeição da alma. E esta é a bitola para o que é importante observar na vida terrena. Não tem valor para a eternidade realizar coisas que não significam uma possibilidade de progresso para a alma, pois então o ser humano usará a força que lhe foi dada para um desenvolvimento superior de maneira errada, e assim também se perderá o tempo que lhe foi concedido para esse fim. Se o ser humano submete os seus pensamentos e acções ao escrutínio, deve ser sempre capaz de os colocar em harmonia com a vontade divina, ou seja, devem resultar na maturidade da alma e, portanto, não são necessárias acções externas que não sejam obras expressas de amor, beneficiando assim a salvação do próximo....

Uma seqüência de boas ações garante o amadurecimento da alma, a alma se esforça para a perfeição, conseqüentemente o ser humano então cumpre a vontade divina quando realiza o que implica a aproximação a Deus. A distância de Deus foi a causa do surgimento daquilo que rodeia o ser humano. Agora, isto é para contribuir para a redução da distância. O que agora é feito para alcançar este objetivo está de acordo com a vontade de Deus. Mas o que é apenas um fim em si, o que serve o bem-estar terreno ou contribui para o aumento da matéria, aumenta a distância de Deus, portanto não pode ser querido por Deus.... (interrupção)
