Way of the flesh.... free will - reason - mind....

From now on, your life will be dedicated to the service of the lord, and all the gifts you receive will strengthen your will and give you the strength to work for the lord.

Amen

So accept the following today: Every being must go the way of the flesh in order to decide in it in favour of or against God. He is therefore given two possibilities, which he is free to choose. If both were equally desirable in their external effects, then it would certainly be easy to decide in favour of God, but the path to God is a laborious one, full of privation, while the path downwards promises earthly pleasures and successes, thus appears more desirable to the being, and therefore it must now fight if it wants to take the path upwards. But this is divine law, that the being has to stand in certain resistance to its inner desire, that it has to gain what is infinitely precious and needs its willpower for it, which however is increased according to need and demand, so that the being can reach the goal when it wants to. It is not able to do anything with its own strength but the strength from God will not be withheld from it if the being desires it. Therefore nothing more is demanded than the will. Because the being once misused its will to fall away from God, it now has to surrender this very will, i.e. use it in order to return to God again. And for this the embodiment as man was given to him. The path of the flesh is striven for by all beings as long as they still dwell in the bound form because they know that it signifies the last course on earth. They therefore joyfully take it upon themselves, know in advance about their task and long for this embodiment in the hope of finally being able to free themselves from the bound form. However, they are also aware of the responsibility of being on earth but consider their willpower to be sufficient to fulfil their task. Yet they underestimate the cunning and power of the adversary.... They do not consider that he uses all means to make the spiritual world submissive to himself and his plans again. God's love, however, surrounds its creatures and provides them with all the means to resist this power. But the free state in the flesh entails many dangers. The adversary uses precisely the freedom of will by holding out to the being on earth all the splendours which the being can now acquire by virtue of its free will and which appear extraordinarily desirable to it after the unfree state before. And the adversary tries to determine the being to use its free will to create an extremely pleasant life for itself.... and again this means apostasy from God. And there resistance is to be offered of its own accord. The human being should not be hindered in his freedom of will during this short time of life on earth, but he should regocnize through his reason and his intellect the great danger of a pleasurable earthly life. And this is pointed out to him through the word of God, which is offered to every human being.... This holds before his eyes the glories of eternal life on the one hand and the perdition on the other, and man can now decide for himself which path he wants to take.... For God gave him reason, understanding and free will so that he would not be ignorant of its great significance during his life on earth. Therefore, life as a human being is also responsible. It was given to him for a specific purpose and must therefore also be lived consciously in accordance with this purpose. Although he is at the mercy of the adversary's power he nevertheless has divine strength and grace at his disposal to such an extent that he can resist this power if he uses his free will correctly, i.e. if he has decided in favour of God....

육체의 길. 자유의지-이성-이해력.

이제부터 너의 삶은 주님을 섬기는 일을 위해 드려야 한다. 너에게 주는 모든 계시가 너의 의지를 강하게 할 것이고, 주님을 위해 일할 수 있는 힘을 줄 것이다. 아멘. 그러므로 오늘 다음을 받아들이라: 모든 존재는 하나님을 위하거나 반대하기 위해 육신 안에 거하는 길을 가야만 한다. 그러므로 그가 선택할 수 있는 두 가지의 가능성이 있다. 둘 다 외적으로 나타나는 역사측면에서 갈망할만 하게 보였다면, 하나님을 선택하는 일은 쉬운 일이 되었을 것이다. 그러나 하나님께 향하는 길은 힘들고 궁핍으로 가득 차 있다. 반면에 아래를 향하는 길은 이 땅의 기쁨과 성공을 약속한다. 다시 말해, 존재에게 더 갈망할만 하게 보인다. 따라서 존재가 이제 높은 곳을 향한 길을 가기 원하면 투쟁을 해야만 한다. 그러나 존재가 자신의 내적 욕망에 어느 정도 저항을 해야만 하고, 무한히 귀한 것을 성취해야만 하고, 이를 위해 자신의 의지력이 필요하지만, 필요와 요구에 따라 의지력이 증가되어, 존재가 원한다면, 목표에 도달할 수 있게 되는 일이 하나님의 법칙이다.

존재는 자신의 힘으로는 아무것도 할 수 없다. 그러나 존재가 하나님의 힘을 원하면, 존재가 하나님의 힘을 받는 일을 금지하지 않는다. 그러므로 의지 외에는 다른 것을 요구하지 않는다. 왜냐하면 존재가 한때 하나님을 떠나기 위해 자신의 의지를 잘못 사용했기 때문에 이제 그런 의지를 포기해야만 한다. 다시 말해 하나님께로 다시 돌아 가기 위해 의지를 사용해야만 한다. 모든 존재가 묶인 형체 안에 거하지 않는 동안에는, 육신을 입는 길을 추구한다. 왜냐하면 그들이 육신을 입는 일이 이 땅의 마지막 단계를 의미함을 알기 때문이다. 그러므로 그들은 기쁨으로 육신을 입는 일을 받아들이고, 자신의 과제에 대해 미리 알고, 마침내 형체 안에 묶임으로부터 자신이 해방되기를 바라면서 육신을 입기를 갈망한다. 그러나 그들은 또한 이 땅의 과정의 책임을 안다. 그들의 과제를 성취시키기 위해 그들의 의지가 충분하다고 생각한다. 하지만 그들은 대적자의 교활함과 권세를 과소 평가한다. 그들은 대적자가 영적인 존재를 자신과 자신의 계획대로 복종시키기 위해 모든 수단을 사용한다는 것을 생각하지 않는다.

그럴지라도 하나님의 사랑은 자신의 피조물을 소중히 돌보고, 대적자의 권세에 저항할 수 있기 위한 모든 도움의 수단을 제공한다. 그러나 육체의 안에서 자유한 상태는 많은 위험을 초래한다. 대적자가 바로 의지의 자유를 활용한다. 대적자는 이 땅의 존재 앞에, 존재가 자신의 자유의지로 획득할 수 있는, 이전에는 자유롭지 못한 상태 후에 그에게 이전에 특별하게 갈망할만하게 보였던, 모든 영광스러운 것을 보여준다. 대적자는 존재들이 자신을 위한 가장 편안한 삶을 창조하는 일에 자유의지를 사용하게 만들려고 시도한다. 이는 다시 하나님을 떠나는 것을 의미한다. 존재는 자신이 동인이 되어 이에 저항해야만 한다.

인간은 이 땅에 사는 짧은 시간 동안 자유의지에 방해를 받아서는 안 된다. 그러나 그는 이 땅의 즐기는 삶이 큰 위험임을 자신의 이성과 이해력을 통해 깨달아야 한다. 그는 모든 사람에게 명하는 하나님의 말씀을 통해 이에 관한 가르침을 받는다. 하나님의 말씀이 한편으로는 영원한 생명의 영광을, 다른 한편으로는 멸망을 보여준다. 사람은 이제 자신이 가기 원하는 길을 스스로 결정할 수 있다. 왜냐하면 결정을 위해 하나님이 그가 그의 이 땅의 삶을 사는 동안 이 땅의 삶의 중요성에 대한 무지 가운데 살지 않도록, 그에게 이성과 이해력과 자유의지를 주었기 때문이다.

그러므로 인간으로 사는 삶에 큰 책임이 있다. 이 땅의 삶이 특정한 목적을 위해 그에게 주어졌다. 그러므로 목적에 합당하게 의식적으로 이 땅의 삶을 살아야만 한다. 비록 그가 대적자의 권세에 넘겨졌지만, 그에게 아주 광범위하게 하나님의 권능과 은혜가 제공이 되기 때문에 그가 자유의지를 올바르게 사용한다면, 즉 하나님을 위한 결정을 한다면, 그는 대적자의 권세에 저항할 수 있다.
