Renunciation in favour of others.... charity....

The common good very often demands a sacrifice of one's own well-being. And a certain sacrifice must therefore be made in order to be able to serve one's neighbour. Nothing is more beneficial to a person's soul than a willing renunciation of all the comforts of life in favour of his fellow human being. This is true neighbourly love, which has an indescribably beneficial effect. Such actions already result in the greatest blessing on earth, for it awakens love in return and thus contributes to the ennoblement of the human being. And the father in heaven allows His children to do the same as they do and give to each other.... And so earthly good is also increased for the blessing of the giver as long as it is not done for the sake of reward.... However, the effect of all such deeds is far greater in eternity. There are certainly countless people living on earth who are not at all comfortable with this willing help towards their neighbour, they reject everything that could remind them of such helpful deeds and yet they do themselves the greatest harm, for one day they will have to record a shortfall and this will be bitterly regretted. For the same thing that their neighbour once desired is now their most ardent wish if they need the love and mercy of other souls in the same poverty and neediness and it is now denied to them. And therefore give.... give with full hands if you are approached about it and try to alleviate the need where you can.... Offer yourselves if you can help your fellow human being by doing so, and know that the father in heaven will not deny you His mercy if you ask Him for an earthly gift.... For He does not leave His child in need, but in the same way you should also give up everything you can give to your fellow human being in order to alleviate his need. And if you feel the goodness and love of the father in yourselves, remember the poor at all times and always show them your love and mercy and do not let them go without.... For the lord God has brought you together so that you may help one another, comfort one another and alleviate all suffering, so that you may redeem yourselves through works of unselfish neighbourly love and at the same time awaken love and thus contribute to the ennoblement of humanity....

Prêter renoncement en faveur du prochain - L’amour pour le prochain

Le bien commun demande très souvent une prestation de renoncement à son bien-être. C’est pourquoi il doit être fait un certain sacrifice pour pouvoir servir le prochain avec cela. Il n’y a rien de plus avantageux pour l’âme qu'un renoncement volontaire à tous les plaisirs de la vie en faveur de son prochain. Cela est le vrai amour pour le prochain et il a un effet indescriptiblement bénéfique. Il entraîne déjà sur la Terre la plus grande bénédiction, parce que l’amour réveille l’amour en retour et contribue aussi à l'ennoblissement de l’homme. Et le Père dans le Ciel fait arriver à Ses fils la même chose qu'ils font et Il leurs donne réciproquement. Et ainsi même le bien terrestre devient une grande bénédiction pour le donateur, si le don n'est pas fait pour obtenir une récompense. Mais l’effet de toutes ces actions est beaucoup plus grand dans l’Eternité. Sur la Terre un grand nombre d’hommes vivent confortablement, mais cette aide volontaire du prochain ne leur plait en rien, ils repoussent tout ce qui pourrait les inciter à de telles actions d’aide, et ils se causent ainsi de grands dommages à eux-mêmes, parce que chaque fois qu’ils refuseront une aide, ils s'en repentiront amèrement. Car la même chose que le prochain désirait est devenu maintenant leur désir le plus ardent, ils se trouveront dans la même pauvreté et indigence de compassion que les âmes à qui ils avaient refusé. Ce que vous donnez, donnez-le les mains pleines, lorsqu’il vous est demandé, et cherchez à adoucir la misère partout où vous le pouvez. Lamentez-vous vous-mêmes, si vous ne pouvez aider le prochain et sachez que votre Père dans le Ciel ne refuse pas Sa compassion, lorsque vous Lui demandez un Don terrestre, parce qu’Il ne laisse pas dans la misère Ses fils, et vous-même vous devez vous priver de tout ce que vous pouvez procurer au prochain pour adoucir avec cela sa misère. Et lorsque vous percevez sur vous-mêmes la Bonté et l’Amour du Père, alors rappelez-vous toujours des pauvres et tournez vers eux votre amour et votre miséricorde et ne les laissez pas languir. Parce que Dieu le Seigneur vous a mis ensemble afin que vous vous aidiez réciproquement, que vous vous réconfortiez et adoucissez toute souffrance, afin que vous vous rachetiez par des œuvres d’amour désintéressé pour le prochain afin de réveiller en même temps l’amour et de contribuer ainsi à l'ennoblissement de l’humanité.
