Neglect of earthly work.... sloth.... idleness....

Notice how you have to fight harder and harder against inner restlessness the more you withdraw from the regular activity of the day, for it is a blessing for you if you are constantly active in earthly relationships. The person has a mental balance which also makes him more capable of spiritual striving; moreover, this can only serve as proof to fellow human beings that the profession need not suffer for the sake of spiritual work. And this is of greatest importance - the approaching time of spiritual awakening must at the same time be marked by exceedingly brisk physical activity, for only through such is also the proof supplied that a morbid condition need not necessarily be the occasion for strange spiritual activity, that rather the one can harmonize very well with the other and earthly work need not suffer any loss. And so you only receive the admonition to devote yourself to spiritual work with all eagerness, to always give it first priority, but at the same time to also do justice to all earthly demands as far as it is compatible with the former. At the same time this gives an inner satisfaction which in turn contributes to the earthly child giving itself over to its spiritual work with all love and devotion and is thus much more and better able to work in this field. The slightest sluggishness of the body also has a hindering effect on the soul; the human being becomes reluctant to do any work, and it again requires days of inner struggle before the old relationship is established, because many other impressions have shaken the connection with the father and only with great will can all disturbances be overcome. For it is increasingly difficult to receive these announcements the further away the earth child is from its father. And where the human being allows himself to be distracted from the actual activity of the spirit his comprehension is also impaired, and then the human being is often confronted with questions which are inexplicable to him, the answers to which cannot be received so easily because the necessary understanding for them is lacking, yet this only ever happens when the earthly child neglects the spiritual work and pays more attention to earthly events. For the temptation is very strong.... the adversary seeks to make it apostate wherever he possibly can. So be on your guard, keep in prayer and constant activity, for idleness has never brought about any good, therefore the human being should beware of it as long as he is still able to perform earthly work....

Negligência do trabalho terrestre.... Sloth.... Idleness....

Observe como você tem que lutar cada vez mais contra a inquietação interior quanto mais você se retira da atividade regular do dia, pois é uma bênção para você se você está constantemente ativo nas relações terrenas. A pessoa tem um equilíbrio mental que também a torna mais capaz de lutar espiritualmente; além disso, isso só pode servir como prova para os semelhantes de que a profissão não precisa sofrer por causa do trabalho espiritual. E isso é da maior importância - o tempo que se aproxima do despertar espiritual deve, ao mesmo tempo, ser marcado por uma atividade física excessivamente rápida, pois só assim é também a prova fornecida de que uma condição mórbida não precisa ser necessariamente a ocasião para uma estranha atividade espiritual, que ao contrário, uma pode se harmonizar muito bem com a outra e o trabalho terreno não precisa sofrer nenhuma perda. E assim você só recebe a admoestação de se dedicar ao trabalho espiritual com todo o afã, de sempre dar-lhe prioridade absoluta, mas ao mesmo tempo também de fazer justiça a todas as exigências terrenas, na medida em que seja compatível com as primeiras. Ao mesmo tempo, isto dá uma satisfação interior que, por sua vez, contribui para que a criança terrena se entregue ao seu trabalho espiritual com todo o amor e devoção e esteja, assim, muito mais e melhor apta a trabalhar neste campo. A mais leve morosidade do corpo também tem um efeito inibidor sobre a alma; o ser humano torna-se relutante em fazer qualquer trabalho, e novamente requer dias de luta interior antes que a velha relação seja estabelecida, porque muitas outras impressões abalaram a conexão com o Pai e só com grande vontade é que todos os distúrbios podem ser superados. Pois é cada vez mais difícil receber estes anúncios quanto mais longe a criança terrestre está do seu pai. E onde o ser humano se deixa distrair da verdadeira atividade do espírito, a sua compreensão também é prejudicada, e então o ser humano é muitas vezes confrontado com perguntas que lhe são inexplicáveis, cujas respostas não podem ser recebidas com tanta facilidade, porque falta a compreensão necessária para elas, mas isso só acontece quando a criança terrena negligencia o trabalho espiritual e presta mais atenção aos acontecimentos terrenos. Pois a tentação é muito forte.... O adversário procura fazer com que as pessoas apóstata onde puder. Portanto, fique em guarda, permaneça em oração e em constante atividade, pois a ociosidade nunca trouxe nenhum bem, portanto o ser humano deve ter cuidado com ela enquanto ainda for capaz de realizar o trabalho terreno....
