Neuer Entwicklungsgang.... Bannen des Geistigen....

Der Gang der Entwicklung des Geistigen wird abgebrochen durch göttlichen Willen.... Was unendliche Zeiten hindurch in ständiger Aufwärtsentwicklung war und nun am Ende versagt, d.h. stillsteht oder zurückgeht in der Entwicklung, das wird verhindert am weiteren Rückgang und wieder erneut gebunden. Denn ein Rückgang oder Stillstand der Entwicklung kann nur im Zustand des freien Willens vor sich gehen, während der gebundene Wille immer eine Aufwärtsentwicklung bedeutet, zwar im Mußzustand, jedoch auch weitgehendst dem Willen des Wesenhaften angepaßt, der Gott ersichtlich ist zu jeder Zeit. Das Binden des freien Willens bedingt nun wieder neue Außenformen, die entsprechend der Härte des widersetzlichen Willens sind und nun wieder das Geistige in sich bergen müssen, das den Entwicklungsgang von neuem beginnt. Es kann in Gottes ewiger Ordnung und Gesetzmäßigkeit nur eine Aufwärtsentwicklung geben, wo Sein Wille tätig ist; und nur der freie Wille des Menschen kann diese Ordnung umstoßen. Bis zu einem gewissen Grade greift Gott nicht in den freien Willen des Menschen ein, Er läßt ihm völlige Freiheit, wie er die letzte Verkörperung auf Erden für seine geistige Entwicklung ausnützt. Besteht jedoch die Gefahr, daß jegliche geistige Aufwärtsentwicklung unterbunden wird, daß auch das Gott-zustrebende Geistige in den Zustand der Lichtlosigkeit hineingerissen wird, dann gebietet der göttliche Wille Einhalt, indem er das Seinem Willen zuwiderhandelnde Geistige seines freien Willens beraubt.... indem Er es bindet wieder in der festesten Form, um ihm zur Wandlung seines widersetzlichen Willens jede Möglichkeit zu geben, die unwiderruflich einmal geschehen muß, wenn auch Ewigkeiten darüber vergehen. Denn jegliche Entscheidung muß im freien Willen stattfinden, und der freie Wille setzt immer ein Reifestadium voraus, wo sich das Geistige wieder als Mensch verkörpern kann. Ewigkeiten vergehen für das Wesenhafte, das diesen freien Willen immer wieder in verkehrter Weise tätig werden läßt, und darum müssen immer härtere und schwierigere Aufgaben ihm gestellt werden, auf daß es endlich seinen Widerstand gegen Gott aufgebe und sich Ihm im Zustand des freien Willens zuwende. Verständlicherweise wird daher immer am Ende einer Entwicklungsperiode ein überaus starkes Wüten des Gott-abgewandten Geistigen einsetzen, weil es spürt, daß es bald seiner Macht beraubt ist, und weil es nun sucht, auch das Lichtvolle in seine Gewalt zu bekommen, weil es dadurch die Macht Gottes zu verringern glaubt. Und dieser Kampf mit dem Licht nimmt kurz vor dem Ende solche Formen an, daß nur ein gewaltsamer Eingriff Gottes das Lichtvolle schützet, denn die Macht des Gegners ist durch die freiwillige Unterstützung der Menschheit ungeheuer stark geworden, und immer bedeutet dies das Ende.... Denn Gott nimmt ihm die Macht, sowie der Kampf gegen das Licht unverhüllt zutage tritt, sowie die Menschen, die dem Licht zustreben, gezwungen werden sollen, sich der Finsternis zuzuwenden. Dann richtet sich der Kampf des Satans gegen Gott Selbst, und dann findet er in Ihm seinen Meister.... Das Binden in der Form beraubt alles finstere Geistige jeglicher Kraft und Macht. Es kann sich nun in keinem Schöpfungswerk nach eigenem Willen betätigen, sondern es muß nun nach Gottes Willen tätig sein, es muß dienen im Mußzustand und dadurch den Gang der Höherentwicklung zurücklegen, es muß in endlos langer Zeit sich wieder zu dem Reifezustand bringen, der ihm die letzte Verkörperung einträgt auf Erden.... als Mensch, unter Nutzung des freien Willens. Solange der göttliche Wille allein bestimmend ist, gibt es keine Rückentwicklung, und also muß das Wesenhafte reifen, solange es im gebundenen Willen ist, wenngleich auch die Stärke des widersetzlichen Willens die Außenform und sonach auch das Maß der Qualen des Gebundenseins bestimmt. Erst wenn Gott Seinen Willen zurückzieht von dem Wesenhaften insofern, als daß Er ihm die Freiheit seines Willens gibt, es also über sich selbst bestimmen kann, ist die Gefahr, daß die Aufwärtsentwicklung einen Stillstand oder einen Rückgang erfährt, und dies wieder bis zu der Grenze, die Gott gesetzt hat.... Dann bricht Er den Gang der Entwicklung für das Wesenhafte ab, und es muß diese nun aufs neue beginnen in einer neuen Erdperiode, die wieder für seine endgültige Erlösung bestimmt ist, so sie im letzten Stadium recht ausgenützet wird. Denn nur das Vollkommene kann seiner Außenform ledig werden und nur durch rechte Nützung seiner Willensfreiheit kann das Geistige im Menschen vollkommen werden....

New course of development.... banishing the spiritual....

The course of development of the spiritual is interrupted by divine will.... What was in constant upward development for infinite times and now fails at the end, i.e. comes to a standstill or declines in development, that is prevented from further decline and is bound again. Because a decline or standstill of development can only happen in the state of free will, while the bound will always means an ascent development, indeed in a state of compulsion, but also most extensively adapted to the will of the beingness, which is apparent to God at all times. The binding of free will now again necessitates new external forms, which are in accordance with the hardness of the opposing will and now again have to hold the spiritual within themselves, which starts the course of development anew. In God's eternal order and lawfulness there can only be an upward development where His will is active; and only the human being's free will can overturn this order. To a certain extent God does not interfere with the human being's free will, He leaves him complete freedom as to how he uses the last embodiment on earth for his spiritual development. However, if there is a danger that all spiritual ascent development will be prevented, that the spiritual being which strives towards God will also be dragged into a state of lightlessness, then the divine will will put a stop to it by depriving the spiritual being which acts against His will of its free will.... by binding it again in the firmest form in order to give it every opportunity to change its opposing will, which irrevocably has to happen once, even if eternities pass by. For every decision must take place in free will, and free will always presupposes a stage of maturity where the spiritual can embody itself again as a human being. Eternities pass for the beingness which again and again lets this free will become active in a wrong way, and that is why ever harder and more difficult tasks have to be given to it so that it finally gives up its resistance against God and turns to Him in the state of free will. Understandably, therefore, at the end of a period of development the God-opposing spiritual will always start to rage extremely strongly because it feels that it will soon be deprived of its power and because it now seeks to gain control of the light because it believes it will thereby reduce God's power. And this battle with the light takes on such forms shortly before the end that only a violent intervention by God protects what is full of light, for the adversary's power has become tremendously strong due to humanity's voluntary support, and this always signifies the end.... For God will take away his power as soon as the battle against the light comes to light undisguised, as soon as people who strive towards the light are to be forced to turn towards darkness. Then satan’s fight is directed against God Himself, and then he finds in Him his master.... The binding in form robs all dark spiritual of all strength and power. It cannot now be active in any work of creation according to its own will, but must now be active according to God's will, it must serve in a state of compulsion and thereby cover the course of higher development, it must in an infinitely long time bring itself again to the state of maturity which earns it the last embodiment on earth.... as a human being, using free will. As long as divine will alone is decisive there is no regression, and therefore the spiritual being must mature as long as it is in bound will, although the strength of the opposing will also determines the external form and therefore also the extent of the torments of being bound. Only when God withdraws His will from the being insofar as He gives it the freedom of its will, thus allowing it to determine itself, is there a danger that the upward development will come to a standstill or decline, and this again up to the limit which God has set.... Then He will interrupt the course of development for the spiritual being and it will have to start it anew in a new earth period which is again intended for its final redemption if it is utilized correctly in the last stage. For only the perfect can get rid of its external form and only through the right use of its freedom of will can the spiritual in the human being become perfect....
