Nur die Liebe erlöst.... Gestalten des Herzens....

Nur die Liebe ist es, die den Menschen zur Höhe führt, und nur durch die Liebe vollzieht sich an ihm eine Wandlung, die erforderlich ist, um aus der Tiefe zur Höhe, zum Licht zu gelangen. Nichts anderes kann ihn erlösen, nichts anderes die Liebe ersetzen, und nichts anderes als die Liebe kann ihn Gott näherführen.... Und ob auch der Mensch sein Leben auf Erden lebt in Pflichterfüllung und strenger Beobachtung und Erfüllung der Anforderungen, die an ihn gestellt werden, nichts gewährleistet seinen Fortschritt als allein nur die Liebe. Denn diese wandelt die Seele und macht sie willig, sich zu öffnen und dem Geist in sich die Freiheit zu geben. Und des Geistes Wirken sichert die Höherentwicklung der Seele.... das Ausreifen, ohne welches ein Leben in der Ewigkeit nicht denkbar ist.... Die Liebe aber ist Gott Selbst.... Also muß Gott in allem und bei allem sein, was der Mensch beginnt.... Und es hat der Mensch Ihn gänzlich in sich aufgenommen, so er in der Liebe lebt, und dann muß sein Erdenwandel ihm die Vollendung eintragen, weil Gott Selbst in ihm ist und wirken kann nach Seinem Willen. Gott und die Liebe sind eins, und darum kann Gott nur durch die Liebe gefunden werden, wenngleich Er verstandesmäßig gesucht wird. Das Wissen um Gott und der Glaube an Ihn, daß Er ist, bringt den Menschen nicht der ewigen Gottheit näher.... bewußt anstreben wird er Ihn erst durch Wirken in Liebe, dann ist der ernstliche Wille vorhanden, Ihm nahezukommen, und dann erst folgt das rechte Erkennen, das ihm auf dem Wege des Herzens vermittelt wird.... Und so ist die Liebe unerläßlich, um in das Reich Gottes eingehen zu können.... Die Liebe überwindet alles, sie bleibt Sieger auch im schwersten Kampf, weil dem, der in der Liebe lebt, Gott Selbst zur Seite steht, Der durch das Liebeswirken des Menschen in ihm ist. Der Liebesgrad des Menschen ist bestimmend, wann Gott als die Liebe Selbst in ihm Wohnung nimmt. Er kann nur dort weilen, wo die Liebe eine solche Wandlung vollführt hat, wo der Mensch sich dem Willen Gottes gemäß gestaltet hat.... Er muß von Herzen demütig, sanftmütig, friedfertig und geduldig sein, und alles dieses bewirkt die Liebe.... Denn er stellt Gott und den Mitmenschen der Liebe zu sich selbst voran und wird immer sich selbst weniger bedenken; er wird für sich nichts fordern, doch stets geben.... er wird nicht verurteilen, sondern verstehen und vergeben.... er wird keinen Streit suchen und jegliche Überheblichkeit unterdrücken.... er wird für die Schwächen der Mitmenschen Verständnis haben und sich daher in der Geduld üben. Und also wandelt sich sein Wesen und formt sich so, wie es göttlicher Wille ist. Und in einer so gestalteten Seele kann Gott Selbst Aufenthalt nehmen.... Es wird also die Liebe in ganzer Fülle im Menschen wohnen, er wird nicht mehr anders können als liebetätig sein, weil Gott Selbst sein ganzes Handeln und Denken nun lenkt, Der in ihm ist.... Und wo Gott ist, dort kann keine Tiefe, keine Dunkelheit und kein unfreier Zustand mehr sein; wo Gott ist, ist Licht und Freiheit, wo Gott ist, ist Frieden und Seligkeit.... Es hat die Liebe den Menschen erlöst....

Only love redeems.... shaping of the heart....

It is only love that leads man upwards, and it is only through love that a transformation takes place in him that is necessary in order to move from the depths to the heights, to the light. Nothing else can redeem him, nothing else can replace love, and nothing else but love can lead him closer to God.... And even if a person lives his life on earth in fulfilment of duty and strict observation and fulfilment of the demands placed on him, nothing guarantees his progress but love alone. For this transforms the soul and makes it willing to open itself and give freedom to the spirit within. And the working of the spirit ensures the soul's higher development.... the maturing without which a life in eternity is inconceivable.... But love is God Himself.... So God must be in everything and with everything that man begins.... And the human being has completely accepted Him in himself if he lives in love, and then his life on earth must bring him perfection because God Himself is in him and can work according to His will. God and love are one, and therefore God can only be found through love, although He is sought intellectually. The knowledge of God and the belief in Him, that He exists, does not bring the human being closer to the eternal deity.... he will only consciously strive for Him through activity of love, then the serious will to come close to Him will be present and only then will the right realization follow, which is imparted to him by way of the heart.... And thus love is indispensable in order to be able to enter the kingdom of God.... Love overcomes everything, it remains victorious even in the most difficult battle, because the one who lives in love has God Himself at his side, Who is in him through the human being's activity of love. A person's degree of love determines when God, as love Himself, takes up residence in him. He can only dwell where love has accomplished such a transformation, where the human being has moulded himself according to God's will.... He must be humble, meek, peaceful and patient from the heart, and all this is brought about by love.... For he puts God and his fellow human beings before love for himself and will always think less of himself; he will demand nothing for himself but will always give.... he will not condemn, but understand and forgive.... he will not seek contention and will suppress all arrogance.... he will have understanding for the weaknesses of his fellow human beings and therefore practice patience. And thus his nature will change and mould itself in accordance with divine will. And God Himself can take abode in such a moulded soul.... Hence love will dwell in the human being in all its fullness, he will no longer be able to do anything else but be lovingly active because God Himself will now direct all his actions and thoughts, He Who is in him.... And where God is, there can be no depth, no darkness and no unfree state; where God is, there is light and freedom, where God is, there is peace and bliss.... love has redeemed man....
