Lupta împotriva învățăturii lui Hristos.... Persecutarea celor care Îl mărturisesc....

Este incontestabil mai bine să mărturisești biserica lui Hristos înaintea întregii lumi decât să fii la voia adversarului și să-L negi pe Hristos. Căci cel ce este puternic în lume nu are puterea de a opri ceea ce Dumnezeu trimite împotriva lui. Cel ce se leapădă de Hristos se leapădă de Dumnezeu, chiar dacă rostește numele Lui ca dovadă a credinței sale.....Căci dacă el este profund credincios, va recunoaște și divinitatea lui Hristos, pentru că atunci va sta în iubire, iar iubirea îl afirmă pe Iisus Hristos ca Fiu al lui Dumnezeu și Mântuitor al lumii. Această recunoaștere este o consecință a credinței profunde. Necredința, însă, îl face pe om incapabil să recunoască dumnezeirea lui Iisus. Prin urmare, dacă Iisus Hristos este respins, se dă și dovada naturii necredincioase a omului, iar astfel de oameni aparțin lumii care se opun în mod deschis lui Iisus Hristos. Iar aceasta va cere să-L respingă complet; vrea ca numele Său să nu mai fie menționat, vrea să șteargă orice amintire despre El și să educe generațiile viitoare în ignoranță; vrea să distrugă tot ceea ce se referă la El și să împiedice astfel cunoașterea Lui și a lucrării Sale. Și astfel va izbucni lupta.......Cei care aderă la El vor susține numele Lui, Îl vor mărturisi înaintea lumii și vor vorbi cu entuziasm în numele Lui și al învățăturilor Lui. Ei vor fi persecutați și totuși vor îndura cu răbdare persecuția pentru Numele Său, și vor primi putere de sus, astfel încât vor proclama învățăturile Sale cu atât mai mult cu cât vor fi mai mult combătuți. Și puterea lui Dumnezeu va fi în mod vizibil cu ei, iar dragostea Lui îi va proteja, iar cei puternici ai lumii vor trebui să recunoască faptul că violența lor nu se poate împotrivi. Ei vor trebui să recunoască pe unul Mai Puternic, a cărui muncă este evidentă. Iar acest lucru îi jignește, iar acum vor încerca prin toate mijloacele și voința lor să se impună și de aceea vor fi pedepsiți de mâna lui Dumnezeu. Căci, în măsura în care oamenii presupun că vor să lupte împotriva lui Dumnezeu Însuși, ei sunt în puterea cea mai rea a adversarului, și atunci Dumnezeu va impune această oprire.....Și astfel va veni timpul când vor fi promulgate legi peste legi, iar oamenii vor fi puși în fața situației de a se decide pentru sau împotriva lui Hristos. Iar adepții lumii Îl vor preda de dragul unei recompense deșarte; vor câștiga avantaje pământești și își vor vinde sufletele. Și vor fi mulți dintre aceia care vor preda ceea ce ar trebui să fie cea mai sfântă posesiune a lor -Mântuitorul divin și Salvatorul lumii....Dar cei care suferă persecuție pentru numele Lui vor fi binecuvântați de o mie de ori, pentru că El Însuși se va apropia de ei și El îi va conduce în dispută, iar victoria va fi acolo unde El Însuși este comandant suprem. Și chiar dacă se pare că adversarii vor reuși în planul lor, lupta nu va dura decât puțin timp, dar cei care luptă pentru numele lui Iisus vor fi învingători.

Battle against Christ’s teachings.... Persecution of those who confess Him....

It is indisputably better to confess before the world to belong to the church of Christ than to be subject to the adversary’s will and to deny Christ. For whoever is powerful in the world has nevertheless no power to stop what God will send against him. Whoever denies Christ, denies God, even if he mentions His name as proof of his faith.... For if he is profoundly faithful he will also recognise the Deity of Christ, because then he has love and love affirms Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Saviour of the world. This insight is the result of profound faith. However, unbelief prevents the human being from recognising the Deity of Jesus. Therefore, where Jesus Christ is rejected there is evidence of the human beings’ unbelief and such people belong to the world which openly opposes Jesus Christ. And the world will demand to reject Him completely, it wants His name no longer mentioned, it wants to erase all memory of Him and raise subsequent generations in ignorance; it wants to destroy everything that refers to Him and thereby suppress the knowledge of Him and His works. And thus the battle erupts....

Those who follow Him will defend His name, confess Him to the world and readily speak on His behalf and of His teachings.... They will be pursued and yet patiently endure persecution for His name’s sake, they will receive strength from above and the more they are attacked the more eagerly they will proclaim His teachings. God’s power will visibly be with them, his love protects them and the mighty of the world will have to realise that their power is futile. They will have to acknowledge a greater power Whose work is evident. They become outraged and now strive to impose their will by any means and for that reason they shall be punished by God’s hand.... For when human beings arrogantly want to fight against God Himself they are completely controlled by the adversary and then God will put an end to this.... Hence the time will come when laws upon laws are endorsed and people will be placed into a position to choose for or against Christ.... The supporters of the world will let go of Him for mere rewards; they will gain earthly advantages and sell their soul. And many will give up what should be their holiest possession.... the divine Redeemer and Saviour of the world.... Yet those who suffer persecution for His name’s sake will be blessed a thousand-fold because He Himself will approach them and lead them into battle and victory will be where He Himself is in command. And even if it seems as if the enemies’ intentions might succeed, the battle only lasts a short time, but those who fight for the name of Jesus will be victorious....
