진리는 사랑이 없이는 깨달을 수 없다.

사랑이 전혀 없는 사람을 진리로 인도하려고 하는 일은 헛된 노력이다. 왜냐면 바로 사랑이 없는 것이 그가 처해 있는 어두움이기 때문이다. 그는 이런 어두움 가운데 빛을 깨달을 수 없고 이 빛을 영접해 자신에게 비추게 할 수도 없다. 사랑과 빛과 진리는 함께 속한 것이다.

그들은 서로 떨어져서 생각할 수 없다. 사람들의 영적인 위험은 어두움을 끌어드리는 사랑없음에 있다. 그러므로 진리를 깨달을 수 없다. 혼의 구원이 어떻게 이루어져야 하는 지에 대해 너희는 항상 먼저 사랑의 계명을 알려 줘야만 한다. 이 계명을 따르면 이미 구원이 보장 된다.

왜냐면 빛과 진리를 깨닫는 것이 계명을 따르는 결과 있기 때문이다. 사람들에게 지식을 전하는 것은 이것이 아주 깊고 광범위하다 할지라도 만약에 이 사람에게 사랑이 없으면 전혀 소용이 없다. 왜냐면 그에게는 지식 속으로 들어가서 이를 진리로 깨달을 능력이 없기 때문이다. 그러나 사랑이 있는 사람은 염려하지 않고 진리를 영접할 것이다.

왜냐면 그는 진리를 진리로 깨달을 수 있기 때문이다. 너희에게 항상 또 다시 사랑의 복음이 전파되는 것이 시급하다는 것을 말해 주었다. 왜냐면 사랑을 통해 자신의 영을 깨어나게 하지 못한 사람들에게 즉 깨어나지 못함으로 인해 아버지의 영이 그에게 말을 할 수 없거나 또는 자신의 사랑없음으로 인해 자신 안에서 영이 나타내는 것을 허용하지 않기 때문에 그가 이해할 수 없는 많은 영적인 내용을 전하는 것은 의미가 없기 때문이다.

그러므로 위로부터 내가 너희에게 전해준 말씀이 사람들에게 나타나는 효과는 그가 도달한 사랑의 정도에 따라 전혀 서로 다르게 나타날 것이다. 사랑으로 충만한 사람은 이로 인해 아주 깊게 행복하게 할 것이다. 그러나 사랑의 계명을 성취시키는데 단지 미지근하고 그럴지라도 전적으로 사랑이 없다고는 할 수 없는 사람에게는 단지 행복하게 하는 효과가 적을 것이다. 그리고 가장 깊은 진리에 대한 이해도 사랑이 충만한 사람에 비하면 분명하지 않을 것이다.

왜냐면 사랑이 충만한 사람은 나로부터 순수한 진리가 그에게 전해지기 전에 이미 생각이 인도함을 받을 수 있기 때문에 자신 안에 같은 느낌을 갖고 있기 때문이다. 그러나 그는 일치함을 깨닫게 될 것이다. 그러므로 그에게 전해진 영적인 내용의 진리성에 대해 확신을 가질 것이다. 그러나 지금까지 미지근하고 무관심하지만 그럴지라도 전적으로 사랑이 없이 이 땅의 삶을 살지 않은 사람은 말씀에 감동을 받게 되고 이제 스스로 말씀에 깊이 파헤치려고 노력할 것이다.

그들은 무엇보다도 사랑의 계명의 중요성을 깨달을 수 있고 이제 의식적으로 살면서 사랑의 계명을 열심히 지키려고 하면서 그들의 삶의 방식을 바꿀 수 있다. 그러면 그들의 이해하는 정도는 성장할 것이다. 그들은 항상 영적인 지식 안으로 더 깊이 들어 가게 될 것이고 나를 항상 열심히 추구할 것이다. 그러므로 위로부터 너희에게 전해진 말씀을 전하는 일은 아주 중요하고 의미가 있다.

왜냐면 말씀은 양육하는 가치가 있고 전적으로 효과가 나타나기 위해 항상 단지 선한 의지를 필요로 하기 때문이다. 사랑이 없으면, 지식만으로는 충분 하지가 않다. 이성적으로 여러 모양으로 생각을 해볼 수는 있지만 그러나 이에 합당하게 의지를 변화시키게 혼에게 그리고 인간의 의지에 아무런 영향을 끼칠 수 없다. 그러므로 사랑의 가르침을 단지 귀로만 받아들이고 따르지 않게 된다. 그러면 사람은 어떤 유익도 얻을 수 없고 같은 상태에 머무르게 된다.

왜냐면 그는 항상 단지 사랑을 통해 성장할 수 있기 때문이다. 사랑이 없는 사람은 진리에 대한 갈망도 없다. 그가 열심히 추구함으로써 항상 더 깊이 어두움으로 빠지는 단지 세상의 부유함만이 그에게는 갈망할 만한 것이다. 이런 상태로부터 그는 단지 사랑의 삶을 통해 빠져나올 수 있다. 사람 안에 사랑이 아직 충분하게 강하게 자리를 잡지 못했으면 그의 영적인 지식에 대한 이해도 그 자신이 다시 가르칠 수 있을 정도가 아니다. 왜냐면 가르치는 일을 하는 데는 모든 이의에 반론할 수 있기 위해 그리고 모든 영적인 질문에 대답을 해줄 수 있기 위해 전적인 이해와 가장 밝은 선명함을 가져야 하기 때문이다.

사랑과 빛과 진리는 서로 떨어질 수 없고 거절할 수 없이 사랑의 불로부터 항상 단지 순수한 진리일 수밖에 없는 빛이 비추어 나온다. 그러므로 나로부터 나온 심장을 감동시켜야 할 내 말을 실천에 옮겨야만 한다. 사랑을 설교하는 말씀이 사람들로 하여금 사랑의 사람을 살게 만들어야만 한다. 그러면 그는 빛이 비추어진 생각 가운데 있게 되고 그는 무엇이 진리인지를 알고 진리와 오류를 구별할 줄 알 것이다. 그러므로 구별할 수 있는 능력은 영이 깨어났다는 증거이다.

만약에 너희 사람들이 내 신적인 사랑의 계명을 따라 살면 진리를 깨닫는 것이 너희에게 가능할 것이다. 그러면 너희는 순수한 진리를 순수한 진리로 대변할 것이다. 왜냐면 나로부터 주어지는 은사가 아주 강력한 효과를 가지고 있고 너희 사람들이 이 땅에서 확실하게 온전함에 이르게 도울 것이기 때문이다.

너희는 너희의 성품을 사랑으로 변화시킬 것이고 더 이상 내 의지에 대적하지 않기 때문에 너희는 모든 사랑의 역사로 너희 자신을 나와 연결시킨다. 그리고 나 스스로 너희 안에서 임재 할 것이다. 너희는 너희가 원초에 그랬던 것처럼 너희 자신을 다시 나와 결합을 시키고 축복될 것이다.

Truth is unknowable without love....

It is a futile effort to guide a person into truth who is devoid of all love.... Because exactly the lack of love is the darkness in which he is, and he can neither recognize a light in this darkness, nor would he be willing to accept it and to let himself be enlightened. Love, light and truth belong together; they are not to be thought without each other, and the spiritual trouble of men consists of unkindness, which brings darkness after it and therefore also truth cannot be recognized. And however the rescue of a soul is to proceed.... the commandments of love must always be presented to it first, and if it complies with these then salvation is also already guaranteed, because light and recognition of truth will then be the result.... To impart knowledge to fellowman, which can still be so deep and extensive, is completely useless when this man is without love, because then he is not able to penetrate into that knowledge and to recognize it as truth. But who has love, he will unhesitatingly accept truth, because he can recognize it as such. And it is again and again suggested to you that the gospel of love is urgent to be spread because it is pointless to supply much spiritual material to a man, which he is not able to grasp because his spirit was not yet awakened through love and he therefore also cannot be addressed by the father-spirit or also because man does not allow the expression of the spirit in him through his lack of love. And that is why the effect of My word sent to you from above will be completely different on men, according to the degree of love, which he has reached.... It will make a love-filled person deeply happy, and it will only have a weaker, soothing effect on those who are also only lukewarm in the fulfilment of the commandments of love, but who cannot be called entirely loveless.... The understanding of profound truths will not be as obvious as in a love-filled person who, as it were, has the same feeling within himself because his thinking could already be guided before the pure truth was conveyed to him from Me (.... carried). But he will also recognize the correspondence and therefore be fully convinced of the truth of the spiritual knowledge conveyed to him. Yet people who have hitherto gone through earthly life lukewarm and indifferent but not entirely unloving can feel touched by the words and now make an effort to penetrate.... themselves…. They can above all recognize the importance of the commandments of love and change their way of life by now living consciously and striving to fulfil the commandments of love more eagerly.... And then their understanding will also grow, they will penetrate spiritual knowledge ever more and strive ever more eagerly towards Me. And that is why the transmission of the word sent to you from above is very important and significant, because it has an educational value and always only requires good will to be fully effective. Knowledge alone is not enough when love is lacking.... It will perhaps be thought through intellectually but have no further influence on the soul, on the will of man to reshape himself according to this will.... Therefore also the teaching of love can only be received with the ears, but not followed, and then man will gain nothing, but remain standing on the same level, because he can always only mature through love.... Anyone without love also has no desire for truth, and only the world offers him desirable goods, which he strives for ever more eagerly and thereby falls ever deeper into darkness, from which he can only find his way out through a life of love. If love is not strongly enough anchored in a man, then also the understanding for spiritual knowledge is not present to that extent that he himself could teach again, because fullest understanding and brightest clarity belongs to a teaching activity, to be able to refute all objections and to answer every spiritual question.... Love, light and truth are not separate from each other, but irrevocably the fire of love will radiate the light, which can only ever be pure truth.... Therefore My word, which comes forth from Me and is intended to touch hearts, must be lived out.... the word, which preaches love, must also cause the human being to live in love, and then he will also have enlightened thinking, and he will know what truth is and be able to distinguish it from error.... The ability to distinguish is therefore a sign of the awakened spirit, and only when you humans live in accordance with My divine commandments of love will it also be possible for you to recognize pure truth, and then you will also represent it as such.... because a gift which originates from Me is exceedingly effective and will certainly still help you humans on earth to attain perfection.... for you will transform your nature into love and no longer be of a will which is opposed to Me, you will unite with Me with every work of love, and I Myself will be present in you.... you will unite with Me again and be happy as you were in the beginning....
