생명력이 있는 크리스천.

너희가 외적으로 크리스천인 것처럼 나타내는 것으로 교회 조직에 속한 것으로 교회 조직이 너희에게 요구하는 형식과 습관을 행하는 것으로 충분하지 않고 모든 교회 단체가 대변하고 그의 성도들에게 가르치는 가르침대로 너희가 행하는 일만이 필요하고 이 땅에 교회를 세운 분 자신이 너희에게 준 하나님의 사랑의 계명을 성취시키는 일 만이 필요하다.

스스로 이 땅에서 사랑의 삶을 산 분이 자신의 교회에 속하기 원하는 사람들에게 사랑을 기본원칙으로 삼게 했다. 왜냐면 그의 교회는 죽은 형상이 아니기 때문이다. 그의 교회는 영이고 생명이다. 그의 교회는 단지 사랑의 삶을 통해 얻을 수 있는 생명력 있는 믿음 위에 세워졌다. 사랑과 믿음은 예수 그리스도 자신이 이 땅에 세운 교회의 특징이다. 왜냐면 사랑과 믿음이 그의 교회의 올바른 상징인 영이 역사하게 허용하기 때문이다.

너희 사람들이 이런 상징을 제시할 수 없으면, 너희는 단지 너희가 속하게 된 단체의 눈먼 추종자들이다. 너희는 생명력이 있는 크리스천이 아니다. 너희는 그리스도의 교회 일원이 아니다. 그러면 이 땅에서 의지의 시험을 치러야 할 너희 혼이 위로부터 오는 이런 능력을 받기 위해 생명력이 있는 믿음이 먼저 있어야 하는 능력을 받지 못하면, 시험에 합격할 수 없고 너희는 멸망받을 위험 속에 있다.

자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃 사랑의 결과인 생명력이 있는 믿음이 비로소 영원한 힘의 원천과 긴밀한 관계를 이룬다. 이 땅에서 하늘의 아버지가 온전한 것과 같이 온전하게 되는 그의 목표에 도달하기 원하는 모든 사람은 이 원천으로부터 능력을 제공받는 일이 필요하다. 너희 사람들은 너희의 이 땅의 과제를 아주 쉽게 여긴다.

너희는 자신을 하나님의 대리자라고 소개하는 사람들 편에서 너희에게 행하라고 요구하는 것을 의무적으로 행하면, 충분히 한 것으로 믿는다. 너희는 이런 사람들이 실제 하나님의 대리자인지 또는 단지 스스로 자신을 하나님의 대리자로 만든 것인지에 대해 한번도 생각하지 않는다. 너희는 너희가 진리 안에서 가르침을 받는지에 대해 생각하지 않는다.

너희는 생각할 것이 없이 너희에게 진리로 전해지는 모든 것을 믿는다. 그러나 너희는 이에 근원을 점검하지 않는다. 너희는 영원한 진리 자신에게 그가 너희에게 진리를 전해주기를 부탁하기 위해 그에게 의뢰하지 않는다. 너희는 진리를 갈망하지 않는다. 갈망했으면, 너희는 진실로 진리 안에서 인도받았을 것이다. 너희는 너희의 이 땅의 과제를 진지하게 여기지 않는다.

정해진 그러나 그럴지라도 절대로 하나님 자신이 너희 사람들에게 준 것이 아닌 행동이나 규칙을 따르는 일을 통해 하나님의 뜻을 충분하게 따른 것으로 너희는 믿는다. 그러나 그들은 하나님의 계명에 주의를 기울이지 않는다. 주의를 기울였다면, 너희는 사랑 안에서 사는 삶을 살려고 노력했을 것이다. 그러면 너희는 스스로 높은 곳으로 인도하는 올바른 길에 도달했을 것이다.

사랑이 하나님이 너희에게 유일하게 요구하는 것이다. 사랑만이 너희에게 그의 교회의 속했다고 느낄 수 있는 권리를 너희에게 준다. 왜냐면 사랑이 유일하게 생명력 있는 믿음이 생기게 하고 예수 그리스도가 자신의 교회를 세우는 바위가 되게 하기 때문이다. 그러므로 그리스도의 계명을 성취하고 이를 통해 그의 교회의 올바른 일원이 되면, 비로소 너희를 크리스천이라고 칭하라.

이런 크리스천이 되는 일에 모든 교회의 조직에 속한 너희가 도달할 수 있다. 왜냐면 모든 교회 조직이 너희에게 사랑을 가르치기 때문이다. 그러나 열매를 주지 않는 너희 혼에게 영원한 생명을 줄 수 없는 사람이 만든 계명을 우선에 두지 말라. 왜냐면 사랑에 근거하지 않은 모든 것은 쓸모가 없기 때문이다. 너희가 너희 하나님에 대한 의무를 진지하게 여기면, 너희는 스스로 진리에 도달할 것이다.

그러나 너희가 단지 교회의 형식적인 요구를 성취하면, 너희 혼은 영원히 같은 단계에 머물 것이고 이 땅에서 어떤 성장에도 도달하지 못할 것이다. 왜냐면 이 성장은 단지 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃사랑을 통해 도달할 수 있기 때문이다. 이웃사랑은 최종적인 깨달음에 도달하게 하고 영이 깨어나게 한다. 이로써 사람이 더 이상 형식적인 크리스천으로 만족하지 않고 그가 확실하게 도달하게 될 완성을 진지하게 추구할 것이다.

"Living christians"....

It is not enough that you outwardly identify yourselves as christians, that you belong to an ecclesiastical organisation, that you do what it demands of you in terms of outward appearances and customs, but only one thing is necessary: that you live out the teaching which every ecclesiastical organisation represents and also presents to its members.... that you fulfil the divine commandments of love which the 'founder of the church' Himself gave you on earth. He, Who Himself led a life of love on earth, He also made love the fundamental principle of those who want to belong to His church, for His church is not a dead structure, His church is spirit and life, His church is built on a living faith which can only be gained through a life of love.... Love and faith.... these are the characteristics of the church which Jesus Christ Himself founded on earth, for love and faith allow for the 'working of the spirit' which is the rightful emblem of His church.... And as long as you humans cannot exhibit this emblem you are only blind followers of the organisation you have joined, but you are not 'living' christians, you are not followers of the church of Christ.... And then you are in great danger of losing your soul, which has to pass a test of will on earth and cannot pass it if it does not draw strength from above, but which requires a living faith. Only living faith.... the result of unselfish neighbourly love.... establishes the intimate connection with the source of strength from eternity, from Whom every human being requires a supply of strength if he wants to reach his aim on earth: to become perfect as the father in heaven is perfect.... You humans take it very easy with your earthly task; you believe you are doing enough if you dutifully fulfil what is prescribed to you by people who claim to be 'God's representatives'.... You do not even think about whether they are really God's representatives or have only made themselves into such.... You do not even think about whether you are being instructed in the truth. You unhesitatingly believe everything that is presented to you as truth but you don't examine the origin of it, and you don't turn to Him, Who is the eternal truth Himself, in order to ask Him to guide you into truth.... You do not ask for the truth, otherwise you would truly also be introduced.... You don't take your earthly task seriously enough and believe that you are doing God's will by fulfilling prescribed actions and commandments which, however, were never given to you humans by God Himself.... But you pay no attention to God's commandments or you would make an effort to live a life of love and then you would automatically take the right path which leads upwards.... It is love alone which God requires of you; it is love alone which gives you the right to feel that you belong to His church, for love alone produces a living faith.... the rock on which Jesus Christ built His church. Therefore, only call yourselves christians when you have fulfilled Christ's commandments and thereby become true followers of His church.... And you can achieve this in every ecclesiastical organisation, for each one teaches you love.... But don't give priority to humanly issued commandments which are not fruitful and are unable to give your soul eternal life. For everything is worthless which is not based on love.... And you would discover the truth of this by yourselves if only you were serious about your duty towards God.... But as long as you only formally fulfil ecclesiastical demands your soul will always remain on the same level, it will not achieve any progress on earth, for this is only achieved through unselfish neighbourly love which, however, also irrevocably entails recognition: Enlightenment of spirit.... so that the human being will then no longer be satisfied with a formal christianity but will seriously strive for perfection, which he will then also certainly achieve...._>Amen
