진정한 평화는 단지 하나님 안에 있다.

너희가 나에게 속하고 너희의 생각과 의지가 내 나라를 향하고 너희 심장으로 내가 접근할 수 있도록 허락하면, 너희는 비로소 진정한 내면의 평화를 찾게 된다. 내가 유일하게 너희에게 평화를 줄 수 있다. 그러나 세상에는 평화가 없다. 그러므로 세상은 너희에게 평화를 줄 수 없다. 그러나 진정한 평화를 찾는 일은 어떤 귀한 일이다. 왜냐면 평화는 이미 축복의 일부이고 너희를 아주 행복하게 만들고 나 자신이 너희 안에 거한다는 표시이기 때문이다. 너희는 하나님 안에서 이런 평화를 찾아야만 한다.

너희가 이 땅에 거하는 동안에는 너희의 적인 대적자와 끊임없는 싸우는 일이 너희의 운명이 될 것이다. 대적자는 너희가 전적으로 자신을 따르지 않은 한 너희를 평화롭게 놔두지 않을 것이다. 너희가 그를 따르면, 너희에게 겉으로 보기에 평화가 있게 될 것이다. 그러나 이런 평화는 주로 자신을 속이는 평화이고 지속되는 평화가 아니다. 너희가 통치권을 부여한 자가 너희를 눈이 먼 상태로 머물게 하고 너희는 너희를 노리는 위험을 보지 못하고 그러므로 이에 대항해 싸우지 않는다.

그러나 대적자에게 속하지 않고 아직 대적자에게 전적으로 빠지지 않은 사람의 삶은 부분적으로는 대적자와 싸우고 부분적으로는 자기 자신과의 싸우는 투쟁이다. 그러나 그는 이런 싸움에서 승리할 수 있다. 그러면 그 안에 비교할 수 없는 행복을 주는 평화가 있게 된다. 왜냐면 그는 나를 찾았고 나 자신이 이제 그의 혼의 평화를 주기 때문이다. 너희는 더 이상 전혀 그를 두려워하지 않게 되고 세상적인 불안과 역경과 영적인 위험이 사라지게 된다. 왜냐면 그는 누군가가 자신을 대신해 지킨다는 것을 알고 내가 더 이상 그의 곁을 떠나지 않는다는 것을 알고 그가 내 보호 아래 안전하고 안심할 수 있다는 것을 알기 때문이다.

그 안에 평화가 있고 이런 평화를 더 이상 그에게서 빼앗을 수 없다. 그러나 세상 사람들은 이 평화에 관심이 없다. 왜냐면 그들이 평화를 위해 세상이 제공하는 것을 버려야만 하기 때문이고 그들이 하나님 안의 내면의 평화 보다 세상을 더 사랑하기 때문이다. 그들이 물질을 극복하는 일에 성공하고 그들의 관점과 그들의 생각이 다른 나라로 향하고 그들이 나에게 향하는 길을 찾는 일에 성공하면, 그들은 비로소 내가 주는 평화를 갈망할 것이다. 그러면 그들은 자신이 세상을 기뻐한 일을 이해할 수 없게 될 것이고 그들은 세상과 세상의 위험에 대항해 싸우는 일을 기뻐할 것이다. 그러면 그들은 승리자가 될 것이고 이제 또한 세상이 그들에게 제공할 수 없는 평화를 찾을 것이다.

그러므로 내면의 심장의 평화를 위해 세상의 기쁨과 교환하는 일은 진실로 나쁜 거래가 아니다. 그러나 단지 극복한 사람이 이를 이해할 수 있다. 왜냐면 세상이 아직 유혹하고 세상을 갈망하는 동안에는 아직 사람들에게 진정한 내적 평화가 의미가 전혀 없기 때문이다. 그러나 나는 세상이 너희에게 줄 수 없는 평화를 너희에게 주기를 원한다. 내가 너희에게 약속한 것은 진정한 가치가 있고 너희가 모든 열심을 다해 추구해야 하는 선물이다. 왜냐면 나는 너희의 혼이 행복해지기를 원하고 혼에게 도움이 되지 않는 것들을 기뻐하는 육체를 행복하게 해주기를 원하지 않기 때문이다. 너희는 혼의 평안을 찾아야 한다. 왜냐면 그러면 나 자신이 너희 안에 거할 수 있고 내 임재가 너희에게 항상 단지 유익이 되기 때문이고 그러면 너희는 안전한 것을 알게 되고 너희 혼의 적을 더 이상 두려워할 필요가 없다는 것을 알게 되기 때문이다.

True peace only in God....

You will only find true inner peace when you have joined Me, when your thoughts and intentions are directed towards My kingdom, when you grant Me access into your hearts. I alone can give you peace, for the world does not possess it and therefore cannot give it to you either. But it is something delicious to find true peace, for it is already a part of beatitude, it makes you immensely happy and is a sign that I Myself am in you.... You must find peace in God.... As long as you stay on earth your lot will be constant battle, because you will have to deal with the one who is your enemy and adversary. And he will not let you have peace unless you are completely at his beck and call, then you will seemingly have peace but it is more like self-deception, it is not a lasting peace, you are only blindly held by the one to whom you have granted the right to rule, and you do not see the dangers which surround you and therefore do not fight against them either. But whoever is not his, whoever is not yet completely enslaved to him, his life is a battle.... partly against him and partly against himself.... But he can emerge victorious from this battle, and then there is a peace in him which is incomparably blissful.... For then he will have found Me and I Myself will grant him the peace of his soul. But then nothing will frighten him anymore, neither earthly unrest and hardship nor spiritual danger, for he knows that One is watching in his place, he knows that I will no longer leave his side and that he is safe and secure in My protection. There is peace within him, a peace which can no longer be taken away from him.... But the people of the world are not interested in this peace, because they have to give up what the world offers and because they love the world more than the 'inner peace in God'.... Only when they have succeeded in overcoming matter, only when their eyes and thoughts turn to another realm, only when they have found the path to Me will they also desire peace from Me, but then they will no longer be able to understand that they took pleasure in the world, the battle against the world and its dangers will delight them, and then they will also emerge victorious and now also find the peace which the world could not offer them. Therefore it is truly not a bad exchange to have surrendered the pleasures of the world for the inner peace of heart. But only the overcomer can understand this, for as long as the world still entices and desires, true inner peace still counts for nothing to people. "But I will give you the peace which the world cannot give you....", and what I have promised you truly has value.... It is a gift you should strive for with all diligence. For I want your soul to be made happy, but not the body, which takes pleasure in things which are not helpful to the soul.... You should find peace of mind because then I Myself can dwell within you and My nearness will only ever benefit you, because then you will know that you are safe and need no longer fear the enemy of your souls....
