영적인 은사를 위해 심장을 여는 일.

나는 항상 단지 너희가 원하는 것만을 너희에게 줄 수 있다. 너희가 원하지 않는 것을 너희에게 준다면, 너희에게 효과가 나타나지 않기 때문에 너희는 이를 그냥 지나쳐 버린다. 왜냐면 내 선물은 단지 열린 심장에 도달하고 닫혀진 심장에게 열도록 강요하지 않는 것이 법칙이기 때문이다. 심장이 열려 있고 받기를 원하면, 그의 심장이 선물로 채워지지 않는 법이 절대로 없다. 그러므로 너희가 귀한 은혜의 선물을 받는 일은 그렇게 어렵지 않다. 왜냐면 은혜의 선물을 받기 위해 너희가 단지 원하기만 하면 되기 때문이다.

사람이 세상적인 눈으로 볼 때는 활동적이고 세심해 보여도 그의 심장이 비어있거나 그의 혼에 전혀 도움이 되지 않는 잡초로 가득 차 있을 수 있다. 심장에 부족한 것을 이성으로 대체할 수 없다. 왜냐면 심장이 필요로 하는 것은 단지 내가 줄 수 있고 인간의 이성이 심장이 필요로 하는 것을 제공할 수 있는 것처럼 여기며 활동하는 이성의 도움이 필요하지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 이성도 또한 실제 활동해야 하고 이성이 먼저 심장이 받은 것을 다루어 자신의 영적인 소유가 되게 해야 한다.

스스로 원하지 않는 사람에게 영적인 지식을 전하는 일은 그에게 큰 도움을 주지 못하게 된다. 왜냐면 자기가 해결하려고 하지 않은 문제에 대해 생각하게 하는 일이 대부분 거절을 불러 일으키기 때문이다. 어떤 지식이나 순수한 진리라도 이를 모두 깨닫게 해주는 그의 안의 영이 깨어나지 못한 사람에게는 아무 소용이 없다. 그러나 사람 안에 있는 영은 그의 의지에 거역하면서 역사할 수 없다. 다시 말해 영은 역사하도록 요청을 받아야만 하고 사람 자신이 먼저 빛을 받기를 원해야만 한다. 그러면 비로소 그 안에 빛이 비춰질 수 있고 비로소 그의 내면이 밝게 되어 그는 이제 내면으로부터 가르침을 받을 수 있다. 왜냐면 원하는 의지가 그의 심장을 열기 때문이다. 사람은 받기를 원해야만 하고 자신의 이성으로 알아낼 수 있다고 믿지 말아야 한다. 왜냐면 이성은 하나님의 비밀 안으로 들어가지 못하기 때문이다.

순수한 진리는 선물이다. 그러나 사람이 단지 순수한 진리를 원하면, 어떤 사람에게도 거부하지 않는다. 그러나 사람에게 진리가 금지되어 이로써 사람이 진리를 소유하게 되는 일은 헛된 기대라는 관점은 전적으로 잘못 된 관점이다. 사람 자신이 자유의지로 순수한 진리를 받을만 하게 하거나 받을만 하지 못하게 만든다. 왜냐면 사람이 진리를 소유할지 언제 소유할지는 진리에 대한 그의 자세가 결정적이기 때문이다. 이에 합당하게 그의 영적인 부유함이 정해진다. 왜냐면 사람이 진리를 통해 비로소 의식적으로 살고 이 땅의 과제와 목표를 의식하고 이 목표에 도달하기 위해 그가 이제 진심으로 노력하기 때문이다. 단지 순수한 진리가 사람들을 그의 영원한 아버지 하나님인 나에게 인도한다. 그러므로 진리를 간절히 갈망해서 진리가 사람의 심장 안에 들어갈 수 있게 해야 한다.

Opening the heart to spiritual gifts....

I can only ever give you what you desire, for if I offer you something without your desire you will pass it by because it has no effect on you. For it is the law that My gifts only enter an open heart, that they do not force their way in where the heart is still closed.... And open is a heart that desires.... But an open heart never remains unfilled. This is why it is truly easy for you to come into possession of precious gifts of grace, because you only need to desire them in order to receive them.... And thus people can be.... seen with earthly eyes.... appear exceedingly active and caring and yet their hearts can be empty or filled with rubbish of which they have no use for their souls. The intellect cannot replace what the heart lacks, for what the heart needs can only be imparted to it by Me and does not require the human being's intellect in such a way that it could provide it for the human being. The intellect should certainly also become active and process what is received by the heart so that it becomes the human being's spiritual property. It is of little use to the human being to be given spiritual knowledge as long as he has no desire for it himself, for it will more likely cause him to reject it than to think about problems he had no intention of solving.... No knowledge, not even pure truth, is of any use to him as long as the spirit cannot work in him which gives him full understanding for it. But the spirit cannot become effective in him against his will.... i.e., its working must be requested.... The human being must want to receive light, only then can it shine in him, only then can it become bright in him, only then will he be instructed from within, for this 'wanting' opened his heart. The human being must want to receive, but not believe that he can acquire something through his intellect, for this does not penetrate the divine secrets.... The pure truth is a gift which, however, will not be withheld from anyone who merely desires it. However, the view that truth remains denied to the human being and that it is therefore a vain expectation to ever come into possession of it is completely wrong.... The human being makes himself suitable or unsuitable for receiving the pure truth through his free will, for his attitude towards truth determines whether and when he comes into its possession. And his spiritual wealth will also be accordingly, for through the truth he first learns to live consciously.... conscious of his earthly task and the aim he now seriously endeavours to achieve. Only the pure truth leads the human being to Me, his God and father of eternity, and therefore it should be dearly desired so that it will find its way into the human heart....
