영과 혼과 몸이 하나가 되는 일. 물질에 대항하는 싸움.

하나님으로부터 온 진리를 깨닫는 일에 가장 큰 만족과 아버지의 심장에서 가장 확실한 안정감을 느낀다. 진리를 전달받음으로써 하나님을 깨달은 사람은 그의 영이 이미 하나님과 연결되어 있고, 그는 자신이 하나님의 일부가 된 것을 느끼고 그러므로 그의 몸이 아직 이 땅에 묶여 있지만 혼은 자유롭고 어려움을 느끼지 못한다.

그러므로 인간은 아직 육체가 고통을 받을 수 있다. 그러나 인간이 항상 단지 혼의 생각에 주의를 기울이지 않는다면, 이 땅이 때때로 그에게 짐을 줄 때, 그가 혼과 상의하지 않는다면, 즉 그가 진지하게 세상적인 생각에서 돌이키지 않고, 위험 가운데 필요한 도움을 혼에게 구하지 않는다면, 육체가 고통을 받을 수 있다. 그가 혼에게 도움을 구한다면, 혼이 세상 염려가 근거가 없음을 그에게 알려주고, 믿음으로 도움을 기대하는 곳에서 항상 도와주는 하나님의 사랑에게 그를 인도한다. 왜냐면 혼이 깨달음 가운데 있고, 사람의 생각이 내면으로 향하는 대신에 아직 외부로 향한 곳에서, 혼이 자신의 지식을 관철시킬 수 없기 때문이다.

사람이 고독을 찾고 하나님과 연결을 이룰 때 보호를 받는 느낌이 즉시 찾아온다. 혼이 실제 계속하여 이런 연결을 유지하지만, 사람의 생각이 다른 곳을 향하는 동안에는 사람은 이런 연결을 의식하지 못한다. 그러나 그가 혼에게 합류하면 혼이 즉시 자신이 영원한 진리를 깨달음으로 소유하게 된 평화와 평안을 그에게 전해줄 수 있다. 왜냐면 혼이 자신 안의 영원한 아버지의 영의 일부인 영과 하나가 되었기 때문이다.

영과 혼이 이미 하나가 된 사람이 단지 자신이 영과 혼에게 합류할 때까지 그의 육체가 아직 위험 가운데 있게 된다. 그러나 인간은 삶의 한가운데 있고, 외부의 공격에 끊임없이 노출되어 있다. 이런 공격은 그는 몸이 가능한한 영화 되게 하기 위한 일이고, 이로써 그가 의식적으로 물질과 올바른 관계를 맺게 하고, 물질의 노예가 되지 않고 물질의 주인이 되게 하는 일이다.

인간은 순전히 세상적인 일들에 의해 불안해져서는 안 된다. 그러므로 그가 세상으로부터 등을 돌리고, 관점을 위로 향하게 하고, 하나님을 그의 생각의 내용으로 만들면서 그가 정복해야 하고 그를 항상 괴롭히는 세상과 항상 또 다시 싸워야만 한다. 그러면 그를 억압하는 모든 것이 그에게서 사라지고, 그는 하나님의 권세와 힘을 느끼고, 하나님의 보호 아래에서 안전하게 느낀다. 그러면 모든 세상 걱정의 그림자가 사라지고, 그는 하나님의 사랑과 은혜에 자신을 맡기고 하나님 안에서 안식을 찾게 된다.

그러나 진리가 이미 그에게 역사해야만 하고, 그는 하나님을 깨달아야만 하고 하나님을 사랑해야만 한다. 왜냐면 그렇지 않으면 혼이 영과 연합할 수 없고, 이로써 육체가 혼을 세상적인 싸움으로 끌어들이기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람의 첫 번째 목표는 진리 안에 서는 일이다. 왜냐면 올바르게 깨달은 존재를 비로소 추구하게 되고, 하나님을 의식적으로 추구하는 일이 영과 혼의 연합을 이루기 때문이다.

Unifying spirit - soul and body.... struggle against matter....

In the recognition of truth from God lies the greatest satisfaction and the most secure feeling of security at the father's heart. For anyone who has come to know God through the transmission of truth is already united with Him in spirit, and he feels part of Him and therefore free and untroubled according to the soul, even though the body is still earthly bound. Thus the human being can indeed still suffer according to the body but only if he does not listen to the soul's ideas, if the earth still burdens him from time to time and he tries to cope with it instead of consulting the soul, i.e. if he seriously turns away from worldly thoughts and seeks help in adversity from the soul, which then presents him with the groundlessness of earthly worry and only refers him to divine love, which always helps where help is faithfully expected. For the soul stands in recognition and can only not assert itself with its knowledge where the human being's thoughts are still directed outwards instead of inwards. The feeling of security occurs immediately when the human being seeks solitude and establishes contact with God, a contact which the soul certainly maintains at all times but of which the human being is not aware as long as his thoughts wander. But if he joins the soul then it can immediately impart to him the peace and tranquillity which it possesses itself through the realization of eternal truth. For the soul is one with the spirit in itself, which is part of the father-spirit from eternity. Where spirit and soul are already one, the human being is only in distress according to the body until he also joins the spirit and the soul. But since the human being is in the midst of life, he is constantly exposed to external pressures which, however, are only intended to spiritualize the body as far as possible, to consciously enter into the right relationship with matter, so that he does not become its slave but its master. The human being must not allow himself to be disturbed by things which are purely worldly, and therefore he must constantly struggle with it, which will always and constantly oppress him and which he should conquer by turning away from it, by turning his gaze upwards and making God the content of his thoughts. Then everything oppressive will leave him, then he will feel the power and strength of God and feel safe in His care, then all shadows of worldly worries will leave him.... then he will abandon himself to His love and grace and find peace in God.... Yet the truth must already have had an effect on him, he must have recognized God and love Him, because otherwise the soul would not be able to unite with the spirit and then the body would draw the soul into the earthly battle. This is why the human being's first aim is to live in truth, because only a correctly recognized being is aspired to and the conscious striving towards God results in the unification of spirit and soul....
