하나님을 기쁘게 하는 삶이 주는 효과는 이미 이 땅에서 깊은 영적인 지식이 주는 내면의 만족으로, 사람의 혼의 성장으로 깨달을 수 있다. 이러한 지식은 공의롭고, 사랑 안에서 사는 사람이 가진 특권이다. 왜냐하면 그들의 삶의 방식이 하나님의 뜻에 합당하기 때문이다. 그러므로 하나님은 그의 삶을 축복한다. 하나님은 그에게 넘치는 은혜를 공급해준다. 하나님은 그가 아는 사람이 되게 하고, 자신이 사람들에게 약속한 혼의 평안을 그에게 준다. 사람이 하나님의 뜻을 성취하거나 또는 하나님의 뜻을 성취하기 위해 추구한다면, 그는 하나님으로부터 축복을 받을 것이다. 그의 상태는 항상 자유롭고, 빛이 충만하다고 할 수 있다. 왜냐하면 그러면 그는 더 이상 그를 짓누르는 양육의 시간이 필요하지 않기 때문이다. 그러면 그의 심장은 하나님 안에서 고요하게 된 것이다.

그러나 그러면 그는 일어나는 모든 일을 하나님의 손으로부터 순복하며 받아들인다. 그는 모든 것이 단지 인류를 향한 아주 큰 사랑으로 하나님이 허용한 것임을 알고, 원망하거나, 불평하지 않는다. 이러한 경건한 순복하는 자세가 그가 다시 하나님의 전적인 사랑을 받게 만든다. 하나님은 그가 높은 곳으로 성장하기 위해 필요한 것을 공급한다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 항상 올바른 일을 행하려는 그의 의지를 알기 때문이다. 하나님은 사람들에게 단지 이러한 의지를 요구한다. 왜냐하면 그러면 하나님이 그의 생각과 자신을 향한 그의 사랑을 깨닫기 때문이다. 하나님은 이런 사랑에 합당하게 자신의 피조물들을 돕는다. 왜냐하면 하나님 앞에 숨길 수 있는 것은 어떤 것도 없기 때문이다.

The effect of a God-pleasing way of life can already be recognized on earth by the person's inner contentment and spiritual maturity, which is expressed in profound spiritual knowledge. This knowledge is the privilege of the one who is righteous and lives in love, for his way of life corresponds to God's will and therefore God will also bless his life. He will bestow His grace upon him in abundance, He will make him knowledgeable and give him the peace of mind which He has promised to people. As soon as a person fulfils God's will or strives to fulfil it, he will be blessed by God and his state can always be called free and full of light, for then he will no longer need any means of education which oppress him and his heart will have become quiet in God. But then he will also accept every event from the hand of God with submission. He knows that everything is only authorized by God out of his immense love for humanity, and he neither complains nor grumbles. And this pious devotion earns him God's full love again and He gives the human being what he needs for his higher development, for He recognizes his will to always do what is right.... And God only demands this will from the human being, for then He recognizes his attitude and his love for Him, and in accordance with this love God considers His living creations, for nothing remains hidden from Him....
