고통이 의로운 사람에게, 불의한 사람에게 임한다.

인간의 혼을 위해 말할 수 없는 고난의 때가 이 땅에 임하게 되는 일은 하나님이 예견하고 정한 일이다. 많은 고통을 통해서만 혼들을 구원할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러므로 인류는 많은 슬픔과 고난을 견뎌야 할 것이고, 이로 인해 생각의 변화가 일어나게 될 것이다. 많은 의인들은 이런 혼들을 위해 고난을 받아야 할 것이다. 이런 일은 다시 그들의 혼의 영적 성장과 온전함을 위해 그들을 섬긴다. 그들은 이웃 사람들을 위해 완전히 피할 수 없는 고통의 상태에 처하는 희생을 하도록 강요당한다. 다시 말해 그들은 이런 고통을 불평하거나 원망하지 않고 모든 것을 견디고, 모든 것에 굴복하고, 동시에 정화가 필요한 사람들을 위해 희생해야 한다.

의로운 사람이 불의한 사람과 함께 고통을 당해야만 하고, 불의한 사람의 삶의 결과를 자주 견뎌야 한다. 그러나 그의 혼의 성숙한 상태가 또한 하나님이 사람들에게 보내는 일의 필요성을 깨닫게 하여, 불평하지 않고 자신의 운명에 굴복하게 한다. 그는 이미 하나님의 뜻이 자신 안으로 스며들어, 그의 생각과 느낌으로 하나님께 반항하지 않는다. 그는 오히려 어려운 시험의 의미와 목적을 이웃 사람들에게 분명하게 밝혀주고, 그들이 세상을 멀리하게 하고, 그들의 혼을 돌보는 일에 헌신한다. 그는 그들에게 그들의 잘못된 삶의 방식과 그의 결과를 알려주고, 너무 연약하지만 선한 의지를 가진 사람들을 돕는다.

의로운 사람이 불의한 사람과 함께 고통을 당해야만 한다. 그러나 의로운 사람은 하나님이 없이는 이 땅의 길을 가지 않기 때문에 이런 고난을 견딜 수 있게 될 것이다. 그는 힘을 받고 정화가 필요한 이웃 사람만큼 고통을 크게 느끼지 않을 것이다. 그러므로 그는 하나님의 뜻에 복종한다. 그가 자신의 생명을 포기해야만 한다면, 그에게 저 세상에서 두배의 은혜가 주어지고, 이로써 그가 아직 성숙한 상태에 이르지 못했을지라도, 그는 이 땅의 삶을 사는 은혜를 헛되게 보내지 않게 된다. 그는 이웃 사람들을 위해 자신의 생명을 바쳤고, 이에 대한 보상을 받을 것이다. 왜냐면 하나님은 사람들의 공로에 따라 모든 사람에게 주고, 모든 벌어드리지 않은 고통이, 사람이 하나님이 자신에게 보낸 모든 것에 복종한다면, 가장 풍성한 축복을 받게 하기 때문이다.

Suffering comes to the righteous and the unrighteous....

It is intended by divine decree that a time of unspeakable suffering will come upon the earth for the sake of human souls. It will only still be possible to save them through much suffering, and thus humanity will have to endure much sorrow and hardship which shall result in a change of thinking. And many righteous people will have to suffer for the sake of these souls, and this will serve them again for the spiritual higher development and perfection of their souls. They are, as it were, forced to sacrifice their state of suffering, which they cannot completely escape, to their fellow human beings, i.e. if they bear it without grumbling and complaining and resign themselves to everything, they are, as it were, sacrificing all suffering to those who are in need of purification. The righteous must suffer with the unrighteous and often bear the consequences of the latter's way of life, but his spiritual maturity also allows him to recognize the necessity of what God sends upon people, and so he resigns himself to his fate without complaint. He is already imbued with the will of God and does not oppose Him in his thoughts and feelings. Rather, he tries to make his fellow human beings understand the meaning and purpose of the difficult trial and to persuade them to distance themselves from the world and devote themselves to the care of their souls. He reproaches them for their wrong way of life and its consequences and helps those who are too weak and yet have good will. The righteous must suffer with the unrighteous, but the suffering will be bearable for him because he will not go his way on earth without God. He will receive strength and not feel the suffering as severely as his fellow human being in need of purification, and thus he will humbly submit to divine will. And if he has to give up his life then he will be granted twofold favours in the kingdom of the beyond so that he will not lose the favours of earthly life if he has not yet reached his state of maturity. Then he will have laid down his life for his fellow human beings and this will be rewarded to him. For God gives to all according to their merits, and every undeserved suffering results in the richest blessing, as soon as a person humbly submits to everything God sends him....
