서로 다른 결과. 혼의 거듭남. 하나님에 의해 부름을 받는 일.

지혜를 주는 영은 단지 거룩한 하나님이 근원일 수밖에 없고, 따라서 이 영은 절대로 실수할 수 없다. 그러므로 영의 역사를 통해 일어난 모든 일은 영접하기가 어렵더라도 믿어야만 한다. 단지 검토해봐야 할 일은 발생한 역사가 영의 역사인지, 인간이 일으킨 일인지 여부이다. 이는 쉽게 찾을 수 있다. 우선, 이웃사람에게 알리면서 사람이 어떤 목적을 추구하는 지를 고려해야만 하고, 이 일을 통해 이 땅의 이익을 목표로 하는지, 아니면 단지 주려는 의지만이 그를 움직이게 하는지를 고려해야만 한다. 일어난 일이 영적인 주제에 관한 것인지, 세상적인 주제에 관한 것인지를 고려해야만 한다. 역사의 발생에 주의를 기울여야만 하고, 사람과 그의 역사의 하나님을 향한 자세를 시험해봐야만 한다.

하나님의 도움이 없이는, 다시 말해 하나님의 영의 역사가 없이는 순수한 영적인 내용을 가진 역사가 순전히 이성적인 방식으로 절대로 일어날 수 없다. 왜냐면 영적인 문제를 해결하려는 의지가 이미 영의 역사를 일으키게 하고, 이 의지가 하나님께 향하면, 인간은 필연적으로 올바른 생각을 해야만 하기 때문이다. 다시 말해 마찬가지로 하나님과 연결된 영의 세계에서 그에게 흘려준 것인 생각의 내용을 영의 세계에서 받기 때문이다. 아직 답이 없는 유일한 질문은 왜 영적인 역사로 제시된 모든 것이 서로 다른 결과로 전파될 수 있는가에 대한 질문이다. 어떤 사람이 하나님의 영적인 선물을 받아, 전파하도록 부름을 받았는 지, 아니면 그가 스스로 부름 받았다고 말하고, 그가 하나님과 긴밀한 관계를 맺기 전에, 그가 영으로 거듭나기 전에, 자신의 직책을 맡았는 지 여부를 구별해야만 한다. 사람 안에서 영이 역사할 수 있기 전에, 영의 거듭남이 선행돼야만 한다.

그러나 영의 거듭남이 항상 선행되어 이뤄지지 않았지만, 그럼에도 불구하고 세상의 이성을 사용하여 영적인 질문을 제시하고, 응답했고, 이로써 서로 다르지만, 모두가 진리라는 인정을 받을 권리를 주장하는 가르침들이 나타났다. 그러므로 영적인 문제를 단지 이성적으로 해결했지만, 영적인 문제는 단지 하나님의 영으로만 해결될 수 있다. 사람의 영이 거듭나고, 그가 하나님과 친밀하고 단순하게 연결되어 있고, 자신이 하나님에 속한다는 가장 깊은 의식 가운데, 단지 하나님의 진리만을 받기 원할 때, 하나님과의 마지막 결합을 위해 뜨겁게 갈망할 때, 하나님의 영은 단지 역사할 수 있다.

가장 순수한 진리가 그에게 흐르는 그런 사람들의 결과들은 필연적으로 일치해야만 한다. 사람들은 하나님을 향한 헌신의 정도를 판단할 수 없지만, 하나님은 헌신의 정도를 알고, 자신을 섬겨야 할 사람을 택한다. 왜냐면 하나님이 그들의 뜻과 헌신하려는 의지를 깨닫기 때문이다. 하나님과 인간 사이에는 긴밀한 관계가 이뤄져야만 한다. 왜냐하면 이런 긴밀한 관계가 사람 안의 영이 역사하기 위한 전제 조건이기 때문이다. 그러나 자신이 부름을 받았다고 믿지만, 그러나 부름을 받지 못한 사람들이 사람들 앞에서 긴밀한 관계를 가진 것처럼 보이게 할 수 있다. 왜냐면 이성이나, 지위나, 교파나 직분이 영의 사역을 결정하는 것이 아니고, 단지 하나님 앞에 숨길 수 없는 심장의 상태가 결정적이기 때문이다.

결과적으로 인간의 의지로 직업을 삼은 그런 사람에게서 지혜와 진리를 구할 수 없고, 기대할 수 없다. 왜냐면 부르심은 유일하게 하나님으로부터 와야만 하기 때문이다. 사랑을 행함으로 자신을 하나님의 은혜를 받기에 합당한 사람이, 사랑을 행함으로 영의 사슬을 풀고, 이로써 외부로부터 오는 영의 흐름에 자신의 혼을 여는 사람이 부름을 받게 될 것이다. 하나님은 그들을 자신의 동역자로 부르고, 그들에게 진리를 준다. 이로써 그들이 다시 가르치면서 진리를 전달할 수 있게 한다. 그러므로 하나님의 가르침을 받는 사람의 지식은 일치할 것이고, 서로의 다른 점을 찾지 못하게 될 것이다.

그러나 가르칠 권리를 주장하는 사람들 밖에서 이런 사람들의 대부분을 찾아볼 수 있다. 이런 사람들은 학습을 통해 지식을 습득했다고 믿는 사람들에게 속하지 않을 것이다. 그들은 눈에 띄지 않게 이 땅의 삶을 사는 사람들 사이에서 발견될 것이다. 그들은 세상과 세상의 재물을 갈망하지 않을 것이고, 자발적인 포기를 통해 하나님의 말씀을 받을 수 있고, 하나님에 의해 직접 가르침을 받는 가장 큰 은혜를 얻을 것이다.

그러므로 이전에 영이 거듭나는 일은 필수 불가결한 일이다. 사람이 의식적으로 하나님과 연결을 구하고, 자신이 하나님의 피조물이라고 느끼고, 그의 원래 상태와 원래의 사명을 깨닫는 가운데 하나님과 연합하기를 갈망하기 때문에, 하나님을 섬기기 원하는 상태에 도달해야만 한다. 이런 깨달음이 그 안의 영이 역사하는 일을 가능하게 하고, 사람을 또한 진리를 받을 수 있게 만든다. 왜냐면 깨달음이 없이는 그가 진리를 이해할 수 없기 때문이다. 진리는 절대로 진리로 깨달음을 받지 못하게 되었을 것이다.

실제 학교에서 가르치는 방식으로 진리를 전할 수 있다. 다시 말해 전수될 수 있다. 그러나 진리를 이해하기 위해서는 사람 안의 하나님의 영이 역사할 수 있어야만 한다. 이를 위해 사전에 사랑을 행하는 일이 필요하다. 그러나 자신이 가르치는 사명을 받은 것으로 느끼는 사람이 항상 사랑을 행하는 것이 아니고, 사랑을 행할 능력이 있는 것이 아니다. 그러므로 가르칠 수 있는 능력이 있는 것이 아니다. 왜냐면 그들은 단지 그들이 소유한 것을 줄 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 그들에게 사랑이 부족한 것처럼, 그들에게 지혜가 부족하다. 그리고 그들이 이제 주는 것은 절대로 하나님의 진리라고 할 수 없다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 진리는 하나님께 속한 것이고, 하나님이 택한 사람들에게 자신의 진리를 주기 때문이다. 왜냐면 택함 받은 사람들이 자신이 하나님의 은혜에 합당함을 보였기 때문이다.

Various results.... rebirth of the spirit.... called by God....

The spirit that dispenses wisdom can only be of divine origin, and therefore this spirit can never err. Consequently, everything that has arisen through the working of the spirit is to be believed, even if it is difficult to accept. It only remains to check whether what has come into being is the working of the spirit or a human product. And this is very easy to determine. It must first be considered what purpose the human being is pursuing by informing his fellow human being of it.... whether earthly advantages are to be achieved through it or whether he is merely driven by spiritual will. It must also be examined whether what has been created touches on spiritual or earthly issues, the nature of the creation must be taken into account and the attitude of the person whose spiritual activity is to be examined towards God.... A work can never come into being purely intellectually, which is only purely spiritual in content, without the help of God, i.e. the working of His spirit. For the will to solve spiritual problems already results in the working of the spirit, and if this will is turned towards God then the human being inevitably has to think correctly, i.e. accept the thought material from the spiritual world which flows to him from the likewise God-connected spiritual world. And so the only question that remains is why various results could be disseminated, all of which were presented as the work of the spirit. There is a difference to be made as to whether a person is called to receive and spread divine spiritual gifts or whether he believes himself to be called to do so.... whether he acquires an office himself before he has established an intimate connection with God, before he is born again in the spirit. The rebirth of the spirit must have preceded before the spirit can become effective in man. But the rebirth of the spirit did not always precede this, and yet spiritual questions were raised and answered using the world's intellect, and thus doctrines arose which differ from one another and which all claim to be recognized as truth. Spiritual problems were therefore only solved intellectually, but they can only be solved truthfully by the spirit of God.... However, the spirit of God can only be effective if the human being is born again in the spirit, if he is in intimate, simple union with God and longs for nothing other than to receive divine truth in the deepest awareness of his belonging to God and in the ardent desire for final union with Him. The purest truth flows to him, and the results of such people must inevitably coincide. People cannot judge the degree of devotion to God, but God sees it and He chooses those who are to serve Him because He recognizes their will and their willingness to do so. There must be an intimate relationship between the human being and God, for this intimate relationship is a prerequisite for the working of the spirit in him and through him. However, the intimate relationship can only be established in appearance before people, by those who believe they are called and yet are not. For neither intellect nor rank, neither denominations nor ministries are decisive for the working of the spirit, but only the condition of the heart, which does not remain hidden from God. Consequently, wisdom and truth cannot be sought and expected where human will has made a vocation out of it, for the vocation must come from God alone, and the person will be called who makes himself worthy of His grace through loving activity, who loosens the shackles of the spirit through loving activity, thus opening his soul to the spiritual influx from outside. God chooses these as His co-workers by imparting the truth to them so that they can pass it on again by teaching. And anyone who is thus taught by God will have the same knowledge and not deviate from it. Yet these people will mostly be found outside of those who claim the right to teach.... They will not belong to those who believe to have acquired knowledge through study; they will be found in the ranks of those who walk their earthly path unnoticed; they will not hold or strive for offices; they will not desire the world and its goods but will acquire the greatest grace through voluntary renunciation.... to be allowed to receive the word of God and to be taught by God Himself.... The rebirth of the spirit is therefore indispensable beforehand, the state must have occurred that the human being consciously seeks union with God, that he wants to serve Him because he feels himself to be His creature and desires union with Him in the realization that this is (was?) his original state and his original destiny. This realization makes the working of the spirit in him possible and also makes the human being receptive to the truth, for without this realization the truth would be incomprehensible to him and it would never be recognized as truth. truth can certainly be imparted, i.e. passed on, at school, but in order to be able to grasp it, the spirit of God must be able to work in the human being, which first requires loving activity. However, people who feel called to teach are not always active in love and capable of love, thus also incapable of teaching, for they can only pass on what they possess. However, they lack wisdom, just as they lack love. And what they hand out can never be addressed as divine truth, for God reserves this for Himself, offering it to those whom He chooses because they prove themselves worthy of His grace....
