참 예배. 사랑으로 섬기는 일.

사랑으로 기쁘게 섬기는 일이 올바른 예배이다. 그러나 또한 올바른 예배를 단지 사랑으로 기쁘게 섬기는 일로 이해해야만 한다. 모든 사람은 하나님의 피조물이다. 한 사람이 이웃 사람을 섬기면, 그는 동시에 창조주를 향한 사랑을 나타내고, 창조주를 섬기는 것이다. 너희가 사랑을 행함을 통해 사람에게 접근할 길을 열면, 영의 세계는 끊임없이 일할 수 있다. 영의 세계는 이제 또한 사랑으로 다시 일하다. 다시 말해 영의 세계가 하나님으로부터 받은 것을 나눠주고, 영의 세계가 나눠 주기 원하는 것을 다시 받는다. 왜냐면 사랑으로 섬기는 일이 저세상의 첫 번째 계명이고, 그러나 또한 진정으로 행복하게 해주는 활동이기 때문이다. 이 땅에서 사랑으로 섬기는 일이 사람 안에 내적인 만족의 행복과 참된 기쁨을 촉발하는 것과 같다.

그러므로 이웃 사랑을 행하는 일은 참된 예배이다. 사랑이 없는 곳에서 하나님을 섬기는 일은 생각할 수 없는 일이다. 그러므로 예배라는 말을 이와 다르게 이해하는 모든 것을 버려야만 한다. 하나님을 섬기기 원하는 사람은 누구나 영원으로부터 하나님의 뜻인 일을 행함으로써 하나님을 기쁘게 하기를 원할 때, 자신이 사랑 안에 살고, 이로써 자신의 기원을 확인하고, 다시 말해 자신이 하나님으로부터의 나왔음을 깨닫고, 이제 또한 하나님 자신이 행하는 것처럼 그가 행할 때, 그가 모든 하나님의 피조물들에게 끊임없이 사랑을 베풀 때, 하나님을 섬길 수 있다. 그러면 그는 하나님과 같은 뜻을 갖게 된다. 왜냐면 그가 하나님 자신인 사랑이 되었기 때문이다. 하나님의 사랑의 힘이 피조물에게 발산되고, 이로써 피조물들이 존재하게 된다.

이런 일은 겉형체인 육체의 삶에 의존되어 있지 않은 영적인 삶을 고려할 때, 비로소 이해할 수 있다. 이런 영적 삶은, 사람 안에서 사랑이 활성화될 때, 깨어날 수 있다. 왜냐하면 그러면 사람은 하나님의 사랑의 빛을 받고, 이제 하나님의 뜻에 따라 자신을 형성하기 때문이다. 이를 통해 마찬가지로 사람의 사랑이 향하는 존재가 사랑 안에서 역사하게 된다. 왜냐면 사랑이 응답하는 사랑을 깨우고, 심장이 하나님의 빛에 자신을 열기 때문이다. 이런 일은 사람 안에 증거된 사랑으로 나타나고, 이 사랑은 다시 하나님께 돌아온다. 다시 말해 하나님에 의해 창조된 존재들이 다시 자신의 창조주에게 돌아가기를 갈망한다.

이런 일은 영의 세계에서 하나님과 가장 가깝게 연합이 된 가운데 역사하는 존재들이 원래부터 받은 사명이다. 존재가 하나님에게서 멀어졌지만, 하나님은 자신으로부터 생성되어 나온 어떤 존재도 버리지 않고, 이런 존재를 자신에게 인도하려고 항상 또 다시 시도한다. 모든 사랑을 행하는 일은 하나님을 향한 접근이다. 그러므로 사랑으로 섬기는 일이 존재가 원래부터 받은 사명이다. 왜냐면 사랑으로 섬기는 일이 행복하게 하고 동시에 가장 순수한 형태의 통치이기 때문이다. 이는 힘을 전달하는 일이고, 하나님으로부터 흘러나오는 것을, 빛이 충만한 영적인 존재가 받아, 빛에 굶주린 영적인 존재에게 전해주는 일이다. 하나님의 발산은 사랑이고, 존재가 이제 이런 발산을 받을 수 있다. 그러나 존재가 주의를 기울이지 않고 흘러가게 할 수 있다.

이런 발산이 존재에 의해 영접을 받으면, 이런 일은 존재가 다시 사랑을 행하는 일로 나타난다. 따라서 사랑의 힘이 지속적으로 증가하고, 진정으로 사랑을 행하는 모든 사람이 이 힘이 다시 하나님께 돌아가게 하는 일에 기여한다. 한 사람이 이제 사랑으로 이웃 사람을 섬기면, 그는 영원한 창조주께 자신의 사랑을 드리는 것이다. 왜냐면 사람은 하나님의 형상이기 때문이다. 사람은 하나님의 작품이고, 그러므로 소멸될 수 없다. 하나님의 사랑은 모든 각각의 피조물에게 속하고, 그들에게 자신의 사랑을 주려고 시도한다. 이로써 그들이 자신을 깨닫게 한다. 하나님은 이 일을 위해 이웃사람을 사랑으로 양육하는 사람이 필요하다. 왜냐면 인간은 사랑을 통해서만 하나님께 더 가까워지기 때문이다.

그는 사랑을 가르쳐야 하고, 사랑을 실천해야 한다. 그가 사랑을 실천할 때, 그는 영원한 사랑 자체와 접촉하고, 그러므로 그는 저세상의 존재들이 이제 사람들에게 직접 일할 수 있도록 길을 마련해 준다. 이런 일은 주의를 기울이지 않아서는 안되는 긍휼의 역사이다. 그는 또한 존재들의 하는 일을 쉽게 해주면서, 존재들을 또한 섬긴다. 어떤 사람이 이웃 사람과 빛의 존재를 연결시키면, 그들의 역사에 제한이 없게 된다. 인간은 이제 사랑으로 섬겼고, 이를 통해 마찬가지로 하나님을 섬겼다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 돌봄이 언제든지 자유롭지 못한 영적인 존재를 구원하는 일이기 때문이다. 이런 일이 단지 이웃 사랑을 행함으로 가능하기 때문에 인간은 또한 자유롭지 못한 영적인 존재의 구원을 위해 기여하면서 하나님을 섬기게 된다.

True worship.... serving in love....

Joyful service in love is the true service of God, but only this is to be understood by it. Every human being is God's creature, and when one serves another, he also shows love to the creator, as it were, and serves Him.... The spiritual world can be incessantly active if access to the human being is opened up to it through active love, and can now also work in love again, i.e. hand out what it receives from God and receive again what it wants to hand out. For serving in love is also the first commandment in the beyond, but it is also a truly joyful activity, just as on earth serving in love likewise triggers the happiness of inner contentment and true joy in people. Labouring charity is therefore true service to God. Where love is lacking, serving God is inconceivable, and therefore everything else that is otherwise understood by the word service to God must be rejected. Anyone who wants to serve God can only do so by wanting to please Him, by doing what has been God's will since eternity.... that he lives in love and thereby confirms his origin, that he therefore recognizes his origin from God and now also endeavours to act as God Himself acts.... that he constantly gives love to every creature of God. Then he is of the same will as God because he has become what God Himself is.... love.... And then he can also do the same thing that God does.... to radiate His power of love to the creatures so that they can exist.... This only becomes understandable when the spiritual life is taken into consideration, which is independent of the life of the flesh, the physical shell. This spiritual life can only awaken when love becomes active in the human being, for then the human being receives God's emanation of love and now shapes himself according to divine will. In the same way, the being to whom the human being's love is directed is thereby also prompted to work in love.... For love awakens counter-love, and again a heart opens itself to God's emanation, and this becomes effective in the human being as increased love, which returns to God again, thus demanding that which was created by God to return to its creator....

This is the original purpose of the being, to work in the spiritual world in the closest union with God. It has distanced itself from God, but God does not let anything fall that has emerged from Him and always seeks to guide it towards Himself again. Every work of love is an approach to God and consequently a serving in love is the original purpose of the beingness, because serving in love is blissful and at the same time a ruling in the purest form.... It is a redirection of strength, a conveying of that which emanates from God, which is received by the spiritual being full of light and supplied to the spiritual being hungry for light.... This divine emanation, however, is love, which can now be received by the spiritual being, but which can also emanate unnoticed. If it is received by the being, then this expresses itself in such a way that this again becomes active in love, and thus the power of love increases perpetually, and every truly loving man contributes to the fact that the power returns again to God. If a person now serves another in love, he also offers his love to the creator from eternity, for man is the image of God, he is a divine product and therefore may not be lost. God's love belongs to every single creature and He tries to convey His love to them so that they recognize Him, and for this He needs a person who educates his fellow human beings to love, for only through love does man come closer to God. He should preach love and practice love.... by practicing love he establishes contact with the eternal love Itself, and thus he clears the path for the beings in the beyond to reach people so that they can now work directly. This is a work of mercy which should not be disregarded.... He also serves these beings by facilitating their work. And if someone connects his fellow human beings with the beings of light, there is no limit to their activity. The human being has now served in love and thereby also rendered a service to God, for His care is always directed towards the redemption of the unfree spiritual beings and since this is only possible through active neighbourly love, the human being thereby also serves God by contributing towards the redemption of the unfree spiritual beings....
