하나님의 개입. 소유물의 파괴.

이 땅의 삶의 의미와 목적은 혼이 형체로부터 최종적으로 자유롭게 되는 일이다. 하나님은 자신의 피조물들에게 불가능한 일을 요구하지 않는다. 하나님이 사람들에게 그들이 이 땅에서 사는 동안에 해야할 과제를 줬다면, 하나님은 사람들에게 이 과제를 수행할 수 있기 위한 모든 수단을 제공한다. 그럴지라도 사람들이 실패하고 그들이 육신을 입는 시간과 은혜를 활용하지 못하고 지나가게 한다. 이런 의지가 없는 일이 하나님이 거대한 범위로 영향을 미치는 개입을 하게 한다.

하나님은 사람들이 실제 정함받은 그들의 일을 이루는 일에 방해하는 것을 파괴한다. 이는 사람들의 생각과 의지를 묶어 사람들이 이 땅의 과제를 수행할 수 없게 만드는 세상의 소유물들이다. 세상의 물질은 이 땅에서 올바르게 사용하기만 한다면, 절대로 방해되는 것이 아니다. 혼이 물질을 향한 갈망을 극복하고 세상의 물질을 이웃을 섬기는데 사용한다면, 세상의 물질은 혼이 자유롭게 되는데 더 큰 도움을 줄 수 있고 그러면 혼은 이 땅에서 가장 큰 저항에 대항하여 승리하고 극복한 것이다. 왜냐면 혼이 자신을 물질로부터 자유롭게 만들었기 때문이다. 그러나 소유물이 소유물에 대한 갈망을 더 크게 한다면, 소유물은 혼에게 혼이 자유롭게 되는 모든 일에 방해하는 사슬이다.

하나님이 자신의 지혜대로 결정한 일은 세상적으로 볼때 거대한 크기로 이 땅을 파괴하는 일이고 사람들이 두려워하며 보호하려는 소유물을 그들로부터 빼앗는 일이다. 그러므로 이런 일이 사슬로부터 사람을 자유롭게 한다. 혼이 하나님이 보내준 것을 올바르게 활용하고 물질의 헛됨을 깨닫고 혼의 관점을 이제 헛되지 않고 영원한 가치가 있는 재물로 향하게 하면, 혼에게 이제 저 높은 곳을 향한 성장하는 일이 쉽게 될 것이다. 이제 사람의 의지가 정하고 사람은 이런 자신의 의지에 책임을 져야 한다.

그가 빼앗긴 세상적인 것은 만약에 그가 하나님의 의지에 자신을 순복시키고 대체물로써 영적인 선물을 갈망하면, 그는 천 배의 보상을 받는다. 하나님은 개입 후에 다가오는 큰 비참함 가운데 몇몇의 사람들이 세상의 물질을 추구해서는 안 된다는 것을 깨닫고 세상의 물질이 사람들의 의지를 시험하기 위해 섬긴다는 것을 깨달을 것이다. 그러나 현재 사람들은 전적으로 물질에 순복하고 있다. 그럴수록 더 심각한 파괴의 역사가 일어날 것이고 그들의 생각과 추구는 물질을 다시 얻는 일로 향하게 될 것이다.

이처럼 이런 하나님의 개입 후에 사람들의 영적인 상태를 분명하게 나타내주는 때가 올 것이다. 그들은 더 큰 의지의 힘으로 이 땅의 삶을 다시 육체와 육체의 행복에 합당하게 만들려고 시도하고 혼의 사슬을 풀고 혼을 자유롭게 할 수 없게 될 것이다. 단지 몇몇 소수의 사람들이 자신의 내면으로 들어가 하나님의 음성을 따를 것이다. 하나님의 음성은 그들에게 경고하고 권면하고 그들로 하여금 이 땅의 삶의 실제적인 목적을 생각하게 한다. 이런 소수의 사람들 때문에 하나님이 사람들에게 큰 위험이 닥치게 한다. 하나님은 유일하게 혼들을 위험으로부터 구할 수 있지만 그러나 사람의 의지는 자유하고 사람은 자신의 선택에 따라 결정할 수 있다.

Divine intervention.... destruction of property....

The meaning and purpose of life on earth is the final liberation of the soul from the form. God asks nothing impossible of His creatures, and if He has given man this task for the duration of his earthly life, then He also provides him with all the means to be able to fulfil this task. And yet people fail and let the time and the favours of their embodiment pass by unused. And this lack of will moves God to an intervention of immense significance. He destroys that which prevents people from fulfilling their actual destiny. This is the earthly possession which holds people's thoughts and will so captive that they do not fulfil their earthly task. Earthly possessions need not be a hindrance in any way if they are properly utilized on earth. On the contrary, it can still help the soul to become free if it overcomes the desire for it and uses its earthly possessions in the service of neighbourly love. Then the soul has conquered the greatest resistance on earth, i.e. it has freed itself from it because it has overcome matter. But if the possession still increases the desire for it, it is a shackle for the soul that prevents any liberation. In earthly terms, what God has decided in His wisdom is a work of destruction of immense proportions and robs people of their anxiously defended possessions. It therefore frees him from a shackle, and now the ascent upwards could be easier for the soul as soon as it derives the right benefit from this divine mission if it recognizes the transience of it and now turns its attention to the goods which are imperishable, therefore have eternal value. The will of man now decides, and man is responsible for his will. What was robbed from him earthly can be replaced a thousandfold if he resigns himself to the divine will and desires spiritual gifts as compensation. In view of the great misery that the divine intervention entails, many a person will come to realize that the earthly good should not be striven for and only serves the human being to test his will. But at the moment people are completely devoted to matter, and the work of destruction will hit them all the harder, and their thoughts and endeavours will be to regain the possessions. And so this divine intervention will be followed by a time which will obviously characterize people's spiritual state. With increased willpower they will try to shape earthly life again in such a way that it corresponds to the body and its comfort, and the shackles of the soul cannot loosen and release the soul. Only a few will go into themselves and follow the divine voice which sounds to them admonishingly and warningly and stimulates them to think about the actual purpose of life on earth. For the sake of these few, God allows the great suffering to come upon people, which could help everyone out of the misery of their souls. But man's will is free and he can decide according to his own choice....
