빛과 힘을 받기 위해 혼을 형성하는일 구원하는일

소수의 사람만이 하나님의 빛과 힘을 받을 수 있기 위해 필요한 상태에 들어갈 수 있다. 왜냐하면 이를 위해 세상을 향한 의지를 없애야만 하고, 하나님을 향한 의지는 항상 더욱 강하게 해야만 하기 때문이다. 하나님을 향한 의지를 강하게 하는 일은 단지 사람이 깊은 믿음을 가질 때 가능하다. 즉 그는 믿음의 결과로 하나님께로 향해야만 한다. 왜냐면 하나님과의 연결의 유익과 하나님 없이 사는 불이익을 그에게 증명해줄 수 없기 때문이다.

그는 어떤 의미에서 단지 믿음에 근거를 둘 수 있는 목표를 향해 노력해야만 한다. 그런 목표를 추구하는 사람은 단지 적은 수의 사람들이 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그들이 믿는 것의 정확성이나 진실성에 대한 어떤 보장도 받을 수 없기 때문이다. 그러나 바로 이 믿음이 아주 성공적인 결과를 가져온다. 사랑과 지혜와 전능의 하나님을 믿는 믿음은 헤아릴 수 없는 가치가 있다. 왜냐하면 그런 믿음을 통해 사람이 하나님으로부터 빛과 능력을 받을 수 있기 위해 되어야만 하는 상태로 자신을 형성하기 때문이다. 그가 인정하는 신성은 그를 영접하고, 그에게 다가가, 자신의 은혜로 그를 감싼다. 신성은 그를 자신에게 이끌고, 연약하고 무기력한 존재를 힘과 권세로 가득 찬 존재로 바꾼다.

영원한 신성을 인정하고, 지극히 강하고 현명하고 선한 권세를 믿는 믿음을 통해, 인간은 이런 권세에서 흘러나오는 것을 함께 받는 사람이 된다. 그는 어떤 면에서 자신이 이 땅에 속한 인류로부터 자유롭게 되고, 아직 육신 안에서 살면서, 자신의 육체가 거하는 곳 밖에서 거할 수 있다. 그는 이 땅의 밖에 있는 세계와 연결을 이룰 수 있고, 이 땅의 밖에 있는 존재들과 연결을 이룰 수 있다. 그는 심지어 이 땅의 밖에 세계가 있고, 자신과 영의 세계와 영의 세계의 거주민들및 최고의 존재들과 사이에 장벽이 없다는 깊은 믿음을 통해, 하나님 자신과 연결을 이룰 수 있다.

왜냐면 사람이 하나님의 사랑을 믿는다면, 하나님의 사랑이 긍휼로 충만하게 자신에게 향하고 있음을 알기 때문이다. 그는 이런 사랑이 목적을 위해 자신을 창조했음 알고, 이제 자신의 과제를 완수할 수 있기 위해 목적을 파악하려고 한다. 그러므로 그의 의지가 역사하게 되고, 믿음이 깊어질수록, 그의 의지도 또한 강해지고, 하나님은 자신의 힘을 흘려주어, 이런 믿음과 의지가 더 깊어지게 한다. 왜냐면 하나님을 추구하는 사람에게 하나님은 모든 풍성한 힘을 주기 때문이다. 그러므로 자신의 믿음때문에 이 땅의 세상과 자신을 분리시키는 사람은 풍부한 배려를 받는다. 그는 받게 될 것이고, 그가 이 땅에서 포기한 것에 대해 풍성하게 보상을 받을 것이다.

(1942년 3월 29일) 그러나 사람들의 태도는 대부분 이 땅의 부를 증가시키는 일을 추구하고, 이로써 하나님의 빛과 힘을 받기에 적합하지 않다. 왜냐면 그가 어떤 조건도 충족시키지 못하고, 이로써 그의 혼을 하나님으로부터 오는 흐름을 받기 위해 되어야만 하는 상태를 만들지 않았기 때문이다. 이런 일은 인류가 더 높은 성장하는 일을 의문시하게 만드는 결과를 낳는다. 왜냐하면 더 높이 성장하는 일은 하나님의 힘을 받지 않고는 상상할 수 없기 때문이다. 인류가 퇴보하지 않는다면, 인류는 항상 같은 수준에 머물게 되고, 혼이 이 땅에서 육신을 입는 은혜를 사용하지 않기 때문에, 혼이 육신을 입기 시작될 때 가졌던 하나님으로부터 먼 상태로 머문다.

인간의 의지를 통해 더 높이 성장하는 과정 전체가 정체된다. 왜냐하면 사랑과 지혜와 전능의 하나님을 믿는 믿음이 연약하거나, 완전하게 부족하기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람들은 긴급히 도움이 필요하다. 이 도움은 믿음이 아직 강하고, 자신의 믿음으로 인해 스스로 받은 하나님의 힘을 그런 사람들에게 전해줄 수 있는, 이웃사람의 가르침을 통해 주어진다. 이런 전달자는 아주 중요한 과제를 완수해야만 한다. 이런 과제는 단지 하나님 자신이 그를 돕고, 그의 힘을 증가시켜, 그가 이제 특별한 일을 통해 이웃사람의 믿음을 깨우거나, 깊게 할 수 있게되면, 단지 수행할 수 있다.

그러므로 그는 끊임 없이 하나님과 사람 사이의 중개자 역할을 할 준비가 되어 있어야만 하고, 이를 위해 그의 모든 의지와 헌신이 필요하다. 그러나 가장 깊은 영적 어두움 속에 살고 있는 인류에게 빛을 주고, 그런 어두움에서 인류를 구해내는 일은 사람이 이 땅의 삶에서 수행할 수 있는 가장 아름다운 일이다. 소수의 사람들이 항상 하나님의 은혜로 인해 기뻐할 수 있게 될 것이고, 하나님은 그들과 함께 하고, 그들의 힘을 증가시킬 것이다. 하나님은 그들의 믿음을 강하게 할 것이고, 자신을 하나님께 드리는 혼을 하나님의 사랑으로 붙잡아 안전하게 인도할 것이다. 왜냐면 그들이 그들의 존재 목적을 올바르게 달성하기 때문이다. 그일은 이 땅에서 이미 구원하는 일을 하고, 이로써 이 세상에 속하지 않는 하나님 나라의 후보자이다.

Shaping the soul to receive light and power.... redemptive activity....

Only a few people are able to put themselves into the state which is necessary in order to be receivers of light and strength from God. For these must kill the will for the world but allow the will for God to become ever stronger, and the latter is only possible if the human being is profoundly faithful, that is, he must turn to God as a result of faith, for neither the advantage of a connection with God nor the disadvantage of life without God can be proven to him.... In a sense, he must strive towards a goal that can only be justified by faith. And only few people will pursue such a goal because they cannot be given any guarantee for the correctness or truthfulness of what they believe. And yet it is precisely this belief that brings tremendous success.... Faith in a God of love, wisdom and omnipotence is of inestimable value, for through such faith a person moulds himself into what he must be in order to be able to receive light and strength from God. The deity that he recognizes accepts him.... It draws near to him and overshadows him with its grace.... It draws him to itself and turns a weak, powerless being into a being full of strength and power.... By recognizing the eternal deity, by believing in a power that is extremely strong, wise and benevolent, man becomes a co-recipient of what this power emanates, and he detaches himself to a certain extent from the humanity to which he belongs on earth.... He can still be in bodily life outside of where his body dwells.... He can connect with a world which is outside of earth, he can make contact with beings outside of earth, and he can even make contact with God Himself through his profound belief that there is a world outside of earth and that there are no barriers between himself and the spiritual world, its inhabitants and the supreme being.... For if a person believes in God's love, he also knows that this love inclines towards him full of mercy.... he knows that this love has created him for the sake of a purpose, and he now seeks to fathom the purpose in order to be able to fulfil his task. And thus his will becomes active, and the deeper his faith becomes, the stronger his will becomes.... But God deepens this faith and will through the influx of His strength, for He will send it in abundance to a person who strives towards Him, and thus the person who detaches himself from the earthly world for the sake of his faith will be richly provided for.... he receives and is richly compensated for what he gives up on earth....

(29.3.1942) But man's endeavour is mostly the increase of earthly wealth and thus unsuitability to receive light and strength from God. For he does not fulfil any conditions and therefore his soul is not shaped as it has to be in order to receive the outpouring from God. And the consequence of this is that the higher development of the human race is also called into question, since this is inconceivable without the transmission of strength from God. Mankind constantly remains on the same level, if it does not even develop regressively. It does not utilize the grace of embodiment on earth and thus remains in the state far removed from God which it had to show at the beginning of the embodiment of the soul. The whole process of higher development through human will has come to a standstill because faith in a God of love, wisdom and omnipotence is weak or completely lacking. And this is why people urgently need help, namely in the form of instructions from a fellow human being in whom this faith is still strong and who can thereby transfer the strength from God to those whom he himself receives by virtue of his faith. Such a mediator has to fulfil an extremely important task which he again can only carry out if God Himself assists him and increases his strength so that he can awaken or deepen the faith of his fellow human beings through extraordinary activity. And thus he must constantly be prepared to act as a mediator between God and people, and this requires all his will and serving devotion. Yet it is the most beautiful task a person can fulfil during his earthly existence.... to bring light to humanity, which lives in deepest spiritual darkness, and to snatch it from this darkness. And the few will always be allowed to enjoy God's grace, God will stand by them and increase their strength, He will strengthen their faith, He will seize the soul, which offers itself to Him, in His love and lead it safely upwards, because it fulfils its right purpose of existence.... it is already redemptively active on earth and thereby a candidate for the kingdom of God, which is not of this world....
